An Hao and Yan Huan arrived at Xiao Shitou’s house, the nearest from where they were.
Xiao Shitou’s father has coronary heart disease, needs surgery to insert a stent, but the family has always been short of money, so the condition has been delayed, until the doctors from the PLA Affiliated Hospital ca, and he went for treatnt.
It just so happened to be An Hao who received him, inquired about his condition, gave him a lot of dicine, told him things he needed to pay attention to in daily life, and wrote him a recomndation letter for surgery at the hospital.
Xiao Shitou’s parents were deeply grateful to An Hao, so they packed their bags and went to Nancheng.
Little Xiao Shitou often follows his grandmother to the dical point for treatnt. An Hao found him cute and sensible, so she often talked to him and gave him food, and over ti, they beca familiar.
When An Hao and Yan Huan arrived, Xiao Shitou’s grandmother was cooking noodles in the pot.

"That’s great." An Hao was delighted.
"You really have a way with people!" Yan Huan gave An Hao a thumbs up, "You’ve only been here a short ti and you’re getting along with everyone so well!"
"The folks here are very simple and kind!" An Hao said to Yan Huan, pointing at the stove, "Do you know how to use it? Can you make ginger sugar water?"
In the early nineties, city people used coal stoves for cooking. This poor mountain village still uses self-built stoves, and Yan Huan, who grew up in the city, might not know how to use it.
"I can do it. You’re underestimating too much!"

"Heartless," Yan Huan muttered a couple of complaints, then obediently picked up the kitchen knife herself.
