Ji Chuan at this age is no longer like a young guy; he won’t force Yan Huan to make decisions.
He deeply understands that Yan Huan needs ti to gradually process the relationship between them.
Her relationship with Cheng Yue, and her relationship with himself.
"Let’s go! I’ll take you ho." Ji Chuan said to Yan Huan without waiting for her to respond.
"Thank you!" Yan Huan didn’t turn down Cheng Yue.
The evening breeze gently blew as the two walked quietly.
Neither spoke, each lost in their own thoughts.
Yan Huan kept walking; Ji Chuan kept accompanying her.
"Watch your step!" Ji Chuan suddenly shouted.
Before Yan Huan could react, her foot twisted, and she fell heavily to her knees.
Sumr was approaching, and she had changed into a thin military outfit; the fall caused her piercing pain.
She imdiately ignored Ji Chuan’s outstretched hand and rolled up her pants.
Gazing at the cut on her knee, bright red blood was oozing out.
"You’re bleeding!" Ji Chuan squatted down to check Yan Huan’s wound, but she abruptly pushed him away, got up, and ran.
She ran to the tree pit and began vomiting heavily.
All the little food she had eaten that evening ca out.
"Are you okay? Is your stomach uncomfortable?"
Ji Chuan stepped up and gently rubbed her back, asking.
Yan Huan shook her head, vomiting continuously until she even brought up bile.
She had reacted like this in Hanshan Village before, and now again.
Once Yan Huan finished vomiting and cald down, Ji Chuan went to a nearby clinic to buy cotton balls, alcohol, and even a cup of water.
"Feeling better now? Did you eat sothing bad tonight?" Ji Chuan squatted down to help her treat the wound and asked.
"No, I just get queasy at the sight of blood!" Yan Huan explained.
"Does queasiness from blood cause such severe vomiting?" Ji Chuan was witnessing this for the first ti, "Besides, the blood isn’t much."
"Just scared of it."
"When did this queasiness start?" Ji Chuan asked out of habitual curiosity.
"A long ti ago."
"How long ago?"
"I don’t rember!" Yan Huan’s emotions suddenly surged but soon returned to calm.
Ji Chuan’s eyes flashed with a hint of surprise; she seed reluctant to discuss the matter further and was slightly defensive!
"No worries, I’ll handle the wound; I’m best at this!" Ji Chuan assured.
"Okay."
After Ji Chuan finished treating the wound, he helped her stand: "Can you walk?"
"Yes!"
Yan Huan replied.
"Good. Let’s go!"
By the ti they returned ho, the clock on the wall pointed to ten o’clock.
Feng Yuzhi was sitting in the living room reading a magazine when she heard so noise and hurried out.
Seeing Yan Huan coming back, she angrily rushed forward and twisted her ear: "You rember to co back, huh! Do you know what ti it is? We’ve waited all night, almost starved to death! You didn’t even think of calling!"
"Mom, Ji Chuan invited for dinner, waited for at the camp entrance! I forgot to inform you; I’ll be more careful next ti!" Yan Huan confessed repeatedly.
"Ji Chuan?" Feng Yuzhi’s expression imdiately brightened at the ntion of Ji Chuan, smiling like a blooming flower, "Co, co, tell what happened?"
"Mom! Are you like those face-changing perforrs from Sichuan Opera?" Yan Huan remarked disdainfully.
"Nonsense! Co, tell !" The storm passed for Feng Yuzhi, she pulled Yan Huan inside and, noticing her daughter walking awkwardly, she quickly asked, "What’s wrong with your leg?"
