The small-sized man’s stamina and endurance were not as good as Yan Huan’s. After running two miles, he started panting and slowing down.
Yan Huan seized the mont, sped up, and kicked the man’s back.
The small-sized man fell to the ground.
Yan Huan took the opportunity to apply a skillful grappling move, pressing the thief firmly to the ground.
"Stay put! You can’t escape!"
"I’ll give you all my money, can you let go?" The small man still held onto a glimr of hope.
"You can discuss that with the police," Yan Huan said, raising her hand to deliver a chop to the man’s neck.
The small-sized man’s vision went black, and he passed out.
Yan Huan took advantage of the mont and retrieved all the stolen items from the man’s pockets.
By then, the larger group chasing the thief had arrived.
Yan Huan returned the stolen items to everyone, and those retrieving their belongings thanked her profusely.
"Thank you, miss!"
"You’re really skilled! If you hadn’t helped, we wouldn’t have gotten our wallets back and that scoundrel would have benefitted!"
"No need for thanks! No need for thanks! Everyone, check to see if the money in your wallet is correct? If it is, great. If not, let’s search this thief again before taking him to the police station," Yan Huan suggested.
Citizens who lost items opened their wallets to see if they were missing any money. After verifying everything, they thanked her and left.
Only one foreigner stayed behind: "Miss, I’m missing sothing!"
"What are you missing?"
"My passport! I need it to travel abroad." The foreigner gestured anxiously. "It’s roughly this shape and the color is..."
Yan Huan hadn’t seen a foreign passport before, but the foreigner’s words reminded her that the thief had dropped sothing while running, which was undoubtedly the passport.
"Walk back along the path. I saw it fall from him earlier. Since I was busy catching the thief, I couldn’t stop to pick it up. Please go ahead and check. If you can’t find it, you can co along to the police station for help," Yan Huan pointed at the unconscious thief on the ground, "I’ll be taking him there soon."
"Okay. Thank you, miss!" The foreigner looked at Yan Huan gratefully and hurried back to search.
A mont later, the foreigner returned.
He raised his passport excitedly and said, "Thank you very much! I found my passport!"
"That’s great," Yan Huan smiled at him, "Since you’ve found it, I’ll get going to deliver this guy to the police station."
"Wait!" The foreigner quickly took out two colorful bills from his wallet and handed them to Yan Huan, "Thank you so much! This is your well-deserved reward!"
"No! I don’t need it. In our country, helping others doesn’t require paynt," Yan Huan replied, smiling at the foreigner’s amber eyes.
"Uh..." The foreigner put the money back into his wallet, extended his arms, and walked towards Yan Huan, "Thank you so much! Please accept a hug from the people of the United States of Arica! Thank you very much!"
Before Yan Huan could refuse, the foreigner stepped forward and hugged her tightly.
"Hey, mister!" Yan Huan said awkwardly, pushing him away, "That’s enough, that’s enough!"
