Yan Huan’s heart was filled with unspoken anger as she ran out of Ji Chuan’s house and went downstairs.
Her emotions just spiraled out of control and needed a mont to calm down.
Leaning against a sycamore tree, she looked up at Ji Chuan’s window, recalling the scene that had just unfolded, and couldn’t help but let tears fall.
"Yan Huan, don’t cry! You’re pathetic! It’s just a man." Yan Huan wiped her tears ssily to comfort herself.
Before, when she didn’t have a man, she did just fine, didn’t she?
Without anyone, Yan Huan could still go on.
Usually, this self-comfort felt useful to Yan Huan. But this ti, it was entirely ineffective. Every ti she thought of the gentle way Ji Chuan treated her in the past, her tears flowed even more.
Ji Chuan, you bastard!
I fell into the trap you set, and you just turned around and left.
Yan Huan was wiping her tears when she heard a string of footsteps behind her; she turned abruptly to see Ji Chuan chasing after her.
"What’s wrong? You’re crying?" Ji Chuan was very surprised to see Yan Huan’s tears.
He thought, Yan Huan must be angry, probably preparing to scold him with a bunch of angry words.
That’s just her personality.
When angered, she would stomp her foot and say, "I’m done," and nothing could drag her back.
Having been with Yan Huan for so long, Ji Chuan always used his actions and sincere feelings to move her; he was happy when he gave for her.
He thought it would be nice if she would willingly accept him this way.
But unexpectedly, his mother’s provocations led him to accept her suggestions. Now he regretted it; if he’d known it would bring her such pain, why resort to such a harmful plan?
"Nothing." Yan Huan gritted her teeth, dried her tears, "Sand got into my eyes."
"Really?" Ji Chuan smiled gently, rembering soone telling him that if a girl was willing to cry for you, it ant her heart already had you in it.
"Yes." Yan Huan wore a cold face, though her eyes couldn’t hide her anger, "Co with to your new house; I need to get my luggage ready to return to Nancheng."
"See? I said you were angry and you wouldn’t admit it. Are you angry? About seeing and Xia Lin..."
Ji Chuan’s words were cut off by Yan Huan: "What you have with Xia Lin is your business and has nothing to do with . I’m going back to Nancheng, and I’m leaving now!"
Seeing she was serious, Ji Chuan put away his smile and reached to hold Yan Huan’s hand: "I know, what happened between Xia Lin and earlier... Did it hurt your feelings? Listen, there’s nothing between us, my heart and mind are only for you."
"Enough!" Yan Huan shook off his hand fiercely, eyes reddening, she scolded Ji Chuan angrily, "Yes, Yan Huan is a spinster, but that doesn’t an she’ll marry just anyone. Ji Chuan, I misjudged you; I thought you were gentle and trustworthy enough for a lifelong commitnt, but you’re just a two-tir! My brother also blinded, telling you’re good! What’s good about you? I’m leaving! I’m leaving! I don’t want to see you ever again! You and Cheng Yue, I don’t want to see either of you ever again!!"
After shouting, Yan Huan turned and left.
Ji Chuan held onto Yan Huan’s hand tightly, refusing to let go, looking at her both joyfully and sadly: "You finally admitted your feelings for ! I’ve waited so long! Yan Huan, you were jealous for ! Everything just now was just an act; couldn’t you tell?"
"You... you actually..." Yan Huan’s chest heaved with anger, "You scoundrel, testing ! I hate this behavior!"
She furiously tried to shake off Ji Chuan’s hand; she hated love that’s been tested.
But Ji Chuan firmly grabbed her wrist and pulled Yan Huan into his embrace.
