Tan Xiaoi didn’t know that Qiu Xinyi also had a crush on Ji Chuan, so she told her everything when asked: "Yan and Dr. Ji make a perfect match!"
Qiu Xinyi stopped in her tracks, lifted her chin, and glanced at Yan Huan: "A match? I really don’t see it."
Yan Huan frowned but didn’t say anything.
Everyone knew Qiu Xinyi was the most arrogant female soldier in the troop. She didn’t want to clash with Qiu Xinyi or pay her too much attention.
"Hey? Officer Qiu, don’t you think so?" Xiaoi had never been fond of Qiu Xinyi, especially since she snatched an opportunity from her during the last trip to the countryside.
That ti, both Qiu Xinyi and Yan were comnded by the troop.
If Qiu Xinyi hadn’t forced her way in, the people rewarded would have been her and Yan Huan. This resentnt had been building in her chest for a long ti, unable to be released!
So, the two were now outwardly cooperative but inwardly in discord.
"I don’t think so." Qiu Xinyi sat down, looked over so files briefly, then suddenly rembered sothing and asked, "Yan Huan, what’s your problem? Why such a long leave?"
"Just had so matters," Yan Huan didn’t tell her.
"Look at you being all petty. Is it worth it? I’m just trying to show so concern as a colleague, that’s all. If it weren’t for this relationship, I wouldn’t bother asking you." Qiu Xinyi, proud and aloof, seeing her face brushed aside by Yan Huan, didn’t have a single kind word to offer her.
"That’s even better. I don’t want to tell you anyway." Yan Huan, not one to be outdone, retorted sharply.
"Hmph!" Qiu Xinyi snorted coldly and said no more.
This was the daily routine between these won, and everyone was used to it.
"Forget it, forget it, Yan, let’s chat?" Xiaoi sat across from Yan Huan, "Have you reported back to leadership?"
"Of course." Yan Huan said and suddenly rembered sothing. She quickly got up, opened her military satchel, and took out two packets of snacks, "For you!"
"Thank you, Yan!" Xiaoi accepted the snacks from Yan Huan, looked at the packaging closely, "Jiangning specialties? Huh? Did you go to Jiangning?"
"Yeah. Took the opportunity while on leave to make a trip to Jiangning."
"What did you go to Jiangning for?" Xiaoi opened the package and popped a piece of cake into her mouth, "Tastes pretty good? Did you perhaps go to see Cheng Yue?"
Yan Huan looked at her, pressed her lips, and smiled aningfully.
"I knew it!" Xiaoi slapped the table and exclaid loudly, "You went to see Dr. Ji, didn’t you?"
"You guessed it right." Yan Huan laughed and pinched her nose, "You’re amazing! Guessing everything right, I suspect this officer job isn’t for you! You should be a Fortune Teller!"
Just then, there was a crack sound.
Yan Huan and Xiaoi heard it and turned their heads toward Qiu Xinyi.
They saw a pencil, gripped in her hand, snapped into two pieces, and her palm was accidentally poked by one of the broken ends, with blood slowly oozing out.
She gritted her teeth, grabbed a piece of paper to wipe it fiercely, then threw it into a corner, rose furiously, and stord out.
"Hey? Who got to her?" Xiaoi looked at Qiu Xinyi, utterly baffled.
"You! You all! So noisy! Annoying!" Qiu Xinyi slamd the door as she left.
