Lu Xia didn’t hide it, replying with a smile, "Yes. The gift I was preparing for Slian is finally a success."
After she finished speaking, she looked at Cecil. "Have you ever thought about what kind of superpower you’d want once you beco a perfect Gene Fusion Expert?"
"A superpower?" Cecil froze for a mont. He’d never imagined he could go from being a defective male to a Gene Fusion Expert, much less a perfect one with a 100% gene fusion degree. And now, Lu Xia was even asking what kind of superpower he wanted, as if all of this could actually beco a reality. He shook his head, feeling a bit lost. "I’ve never thought about it."
’He really hadn’t. Who could have possibly imagined that he would one day beco a Gene Fusion Expert, let alone one with a 100% gene fusion degree, and even potentially gain a superpower?’

Cecil understood her aning, a smile touching his eyes. "You think so because gold also gives off a brilliant shine, right, sister?"
Lu Xia nodded, the smile in her eyes growing warr. "Exactly. Plus, you have a real talent for business. Isn’t it a perfect fit?"
Cecil hadn’t expected Lu Xia’s reasoning to be so straightforward, but he found he quite liked it. "Now that you put it that way, sister, I’m starting to agree. The Gold Attribute is also very durable, so it should make for a good offensive superpower."
Lu Xia agreed. She nodded. "In that case, I’ll keep an eye out for a suitable Golden Spirit Gene for you."

Hearing this, Lu Xia smiled. "Alright, then. I’ll contact Lady Daina right now."
Without a mont’s hesitation, she opened her terminal and sent a voice call request to Lady Daina.
She didn’t have to wait long. The call connected quickly, and a pleasantly surprised voice ca through. "Xiaxia, what brings you to call today?"
As Lady Daina’s voice ca from the other end, Lu Xia replied with a smile, "I have so wonderful news to share with you, Lady Daina. Cecil has successfully beco a Gene Fusion Expert. I was hoping to ask if you would be willing to host a celebration banquet for him."
There was a mont of silence on Lady Daina’s end, followed by a gasp of surprise. "Of course! Of course, we must host a celebration for him! Is this true, Xiaxia? When did this happen?"
"This very afternoon. It just happened. Cecil’s gene fusion process went very smoothly. Once he’s a bit more stable, we can even begin to raise his gene fusion degree."

After ending the call, Lu Xia turned to Cecil. The young male was quiet. When his eyes t hers, he offered a shy smile. Lu Xia reached out and ruffled his hair. "Cecil, everything is moving in a good direction. Things are only going to get better for you."
’If anyone else had said such a thing to him before, Cecil would have found it incredibly hypocritical. But hearing it from Lu Xia, he believed it without a shred of doubt. Ever since he had t her, he truly felt that he was improving every single day. His life had beco happy and smooth, as if hope filled him from the mont he opened his eyes in the morning.’
’Lu Xia was like a ray of light that had pierced through the darkness of their lives and illuminated the path of hope.’
The rims of Cecil’s eyes reddened. He reached out and hugged Lu Xia, burying his head in the crook of her neck and whispering, "Sister."
Lu Xia was startled by his sudden move but quickly composed herself. She smiled and gently patted Cecil’s head, offering silent comfort without another word.
When they returned ho, the old butler had already prepared a lavish dinner in celebration of Cecil becoming a Gene Fusion Expert.
Slian had also co ho early. Upon hearing the news, he offered Cecil his congratulations.
The corners of Cecil’s lips turned up. He gave a slight raise of his eyebrow, then nodded with a smile in response.
Seeing this subtle change in Cecil, a sincere smile touched Slian’s eyes as well.
’No one could truly understand the sense of satisfaction that ca from transforming from a defective male into a Gene Fusion Expert. Only those who had gone through it could know the feeling. It was as if the entire world was improving, the very air around you felt lighter, and the heavy weight that had crushed you for so long had finally vanished.’

After Cecil had gone to his room, Lu Xia turned to Slian with a smile. "I prepared a gift for you, too, Slian."
’Slian was surprised. He hadn’t expected today to be a good day for him as well, not just for Cecil.’
The mont he saw Lu Xia take the sealed box from her bag, Slian knew just how precious a gift it contained.
