"System, add them!"

The mont Su Xing finished the thought, the [Sword Dao Points] column on his system panel instantly emptied.

All three Sword Dao Points flowed into [Sword’s Breath].

The proficiency value next to [Sword’s Breath] suddenly blurred. The numbers twitched erratically, as if they’d gone mad, then shot upward, climbing by hundreds at a ti.

[Your Class Skill "Sword’s Breath Lv. 1" proficiency 1866]

[Congratulations! Your Class Skill "Sword’s Breath Lv. 1" has leveled up to "Sword’s Breath Lv. 2".]

[Sword’s Breath Lv. 2 (1/3000)]

Su Xing squeezed his eyes shut. Instantly, he felt a massive amount of information flood his mind.

The small figure in his mind began to practice once more. But this ti, perhaps because it was rely a skill upgrade and not a major breakthrough, the figure stopped swinging its sword after only a few months.

A completely new understanding of "Sword’s Breath" integrated into Su Xing’s mory, bit by bit. The feeling of complete comprehension washed over him once again.

Su Xing slowly opened his eyes.

He could feel he had grown stronger. If he were to face a tier-two aura now, Su Xing was confident he wouldn’t have any negative reaction to Shen Ruyun.

’You always have to climb up, step by step.’

’Three points today, four points tomorrow... by slowly adding points, he’d eventually beco stronger than anyone.’

Just as Su Xing was thinking this, he suddenly froze. His stomach began to churn violently, as if threatening to revolt if he didn’t eat.

The pang of hunger started in his stomach and swept through his entire body in an instant. Though it wasn’t as severe as when he’d broken through from tier one to tier two, it was still deeply uncomfortable for Su Xing.

However,

just as Su Xing was about to climb out of bed to get sothing to eat,

he suddenly felt as if every pore on his body had opened. An indescribable, refreshing energy flowed into his body through his nostrils and skin, traveling along his blood vessels until it reached his abdon and poured into the sword hilt within him.

As if sensing the infusion of energy,

the sword hilt began to grow, bit by bit. A curved sword guard gradually appeared. For the first ti, this sword—ford of pure white energy—gained a color of its own: black.

Its sword guard was black.

It was like the dead of night, without a single impurity, as pure as ink.

Ti flowed by as the hilt was slowly forged.

As the energy flowed in, Su Xing’s hunger vanished in an instant. A wave of drowsiness washed over him, but he fought it off, forcing himself to watch as the sword hilt coalesced into being, bit by bit.

By the ti the sword guard had fully ford,

「It was already the next day.」

Su Xing stood before a full-length mirror, stroking his muscles, which had beco even more toned. Although his muscles seed to be shrinking bit by bit, his overall strength was increasing unstoppably.

Sunlight fell upon his body,

making his muscles gleam with a golden sheen.

’It’s a definite improvent. Both the sword hilt inside and my overall strength have gotten a tangible boost.’

’I just wonder how much my sword techniques have improved as a result.’

Su Xing murmured to himself as he looked at "Sword’s Breath Lv. 2".

He casually grabbed a clean T-shirt and pulled it on. It felt a little big, but he didn’t mind. He knew that after he finished upgrading "Sword’s Breath" and then moved on to upgrading "White Line Slash," his muscles would bulk up again.

’If I’m going to buy clothes, I should get so looser ones. Light colors would be best. It’s the middle of sumr, and they don’t absorb as much heat, so they’ll be cooler.’

After quickly washing up,

Su Xing pushed open his door and walked into the Sword Hall’s training area. This ti, his younger brother wasn’t running his usual laps. Instead, he and Shen Ruyun were in the hall, practicing so strange and peculiar movents.

When they saw Su Xing,

they imdiately stopped and greeted him.

"Morning, Bro."

"Good morning, Brother Su."

Su Xing nodded and replied, "Morning." Then he picked up a sword and went off to the side to practice.

As his body grew stronger,

running barely taxed him anymore. To feel tired, he’d have to run for a very long ti, so he figured he might as well just practice his swordsmanship instead.

Shen Ruyun watched Su Xing, her eyes on his slightly loose clothes. She thoughtfully stroked her chin, feeling her nails gently brush her skin, and suddenly had a thought:

’Has Brother Su gotten a little thinner...? But he seems even more powerful now.’

Su Yu was also secretly watching his older brother.

The muscles that bulged on his brother’s body with each swing didn’t seem as impressive as before, but the sound of the blade cutting through the air was as sharp as ever.

"Your brother probably isn’t a Martial Artist yet, but he might have the chance to walk this path in the future. You need to keep a close eye on him. If you see any potential, find a way to pull him into our organization."

Shen Ruyun leaned close to Su Yu’s ear and whispered.

She had learned about the cultivation thods of Martial Artists from ancient texts; shrinking muscles wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. Besides, Su Xing’s talent for the Sword Dao was genuinely impressive.

Even from a distance, she could sense the effortless power in his movents. If Su Xing really had the chance to advance further, their special departnt would welco its first Martial Artist.

Hearing Shen Ruyun’s validation,

a glimr of joy appeared in Su Yu’s eyes. He nodded forcefully. The news that his brother might have a chance to step onto the Extraordinary path made him happier than when he’d learned he himself had awakened his Sequence.

"Yeah!"

Su Xing had actually overheard their quiet conversation, but he continued to practice his sword as if he hadn’t, giving no reaction.

’It’s not that I’ve never considered joining an official organization.’

’But after thinking it over, I still feel the ti isn’t right. Because of my system’s unique nature, I have to teach lessons to get stronger. That would beco extrely complicated if I joined an organization.’

Furthermore,

’I don’t really like the feeling of being tied down.’

’I admire people who fight for so grand ideal, who risk everything to improve themselves, but that’s not for .’

’I just want to live my own simple life, take care of my little brother, practice my sword every day, teach my classes, and add my points.’

’If I had to say what I truly enjoy,’

’I think I just purely enjoy the process of getting stronger. From the very first ti I allocated points, I’ve been completely hooked on the thrill of this rapid growth.’

’So, for , thinking about how to teach today’s online class is far more important than deciding whether to join so official group.’

’Whew. I really should get ready.’

Su Xing executed a final, sweeping slash, then slowly sheathed his blade in its Sword Scabbard. He walked over to the sword rack, leaned the weapon against it, and grabbed the towel hanging there to wipe the sweat from his forehead.

For so reason, today’s practice felt strange, different from before. It was like scratching an itch through a boot—ultimately unsatisfying.

But Su Xing didn’t dwell on it. With a slightly quickened pace, he headed back inside.
