Sunan and Rose were overjoyed.
The treasure they found in the Gemstone Insects alone made their trip worthwhile.
Steadying themselves, the two continued to look at the third notebook.
This notebook was about how to extract the ancient beast bloodline from magic creatures and transform it into a one-ti use bloodline ability.
Avegni called this ability a bloodline imprint.
Depending on the different ancient beast bloodlines extracted, the transford bloodline imprints varied and had different strengths.
However, in order to create a bloodline imprint, the extracted ancient beast bloodline must reach a certain concentration.
Avegni once tried to extract the bloodline of the Scarlet Fang from the Blood Soul Insects, but unfortunately, the bloodline concentration was too low, and he ultimately had to give up.
"Ancient beast bloodlines? Those are indeed rare." Rose shook her head.
While many descendants of ancient beasts still exist on Starlight Continent, without exception, they all possess very thin inherited bloodlines.
Even Avegni couldn’t extract a satisfactory bloodline, so she figured she had little chance too.
And the few that had higher-bloodline inheritances were all very powerful, far beyond her ability to handle.
This research achievent seed useless to her.
However, Sunan didn’t think the sa.
What did it matter if the bloodline concentration was low? With the magic cube in hand, he could synthesize and enhance the concentration.
It wasn’t the first ti he had done so.
In this sense, the bloodline imprint seed tailor-made for him.
As long as he could find the descendants of ancient beasts, no matter how thin their bloodline, he could forcibly synthesize and enhance it to et the standards for a bloodline imprint.
Putting down the notebook, Sunan couldn’t help but secretly marvel.
Avegni might have been ruthless, not exactly a good person, but one had to admit he was truly an extraordinarily brilliant genius.
Bloodline fusion of Blood Soul Insects, Gemstone Insects, bloodline imprint.
Any one of these might take an ordinary Level 3 Wizard Apprentice a lifeti to study.
Yet Avegni accomplished all of them.
If he hadn’t been so unlucky to choose a dead end, his achievents might have been incredibly dazzling.
Even if he couldn’t advance to Wizard status due to the environnt on Starlight Continent, he would have definitely beco a famous powerful figure on the continent!
"This person truly was a genius."
Rose gently rubbed the cover of the notebook, feeling a slight sadness in her heart.
If such a genius as Avegni could fall on the path to becoming a Wizard, what hope was there for her?
Would she really have the chance to advance to an Official Wizard in this lifeti?
The room fell into silence as the two people were absorbed in their own thoughts.
After a long while, Sunan gathered his thoughts and said:
"Let’s search the rest of the area as well."
Rose ca back to her senses and silently nodded.
The two of them then thoroughly inspected the entire cave again, finding no new gains, and then began distributing the spoils.
There wasn’t much to say about the notebooks, they divided the work, copied each notebook, and each took one copy.
As for the Gemstone Insects and Blood Soul Insects, they split them evenly.
Sunan took all the rare tals and gave Rose so magic stones as compensation.
After distributing the spoils, Rose felt much better.
Although the knowledge gained this ti, such as the bloodline imprint and Blood Soul Insects bloodline fusion, wasn’t of much use to her, the Gemstone Insects alone made the trip worthwhile.
Sunan, needless to say, had the additional gain of knowledge on the bloodline imprint.
"The over ten thousand gold coins spent were worth it."
Sunan felt very satisfied.
As they left the cave, Rose smiled and said to Sunan, "It was a pleasant cooperation, Partner. Next ti we have a similar opportunity, we can work together again."
Sunan also smiled slightly: "Good, I look forward to it."
"See you at the gathering."
"See you at the gathering."
Watching Rose leave, Sunan returned to the previous cave.
When passing by the lake, Sunan glanced from afar in the direction of the Human-faced Lion City State.
Many Kobolds and Ogres were busy near the city gate, seemingly repairing collapsed walls.
On the island, squads of human-faced lions were patrolling, and the defenses were severalfold more stringent than before.
It seed that, for a long ti, this would be the norm for the Human-faced Lion City State.
"It seems impossible to infiltrate a second ti in the short term."
"Nevermind, the information gained this ti is quite sufficient anyway."
After taking a long look in the direction of the Human-faced Lion City State, Sunan turned to leave.
Upon returning to Flash City, Sunan imdiately sought out Kei to explain the situation with the Human-faced Lion City State.
After hearing Sunan’s account, Kei couldn’t help but furrow his brow.
"According to what you said, the Human-faced Lion City State can muster four to five thousand troops at the very least?"
"Pretty much. The residents of the underground world are different from us humans; they are almost all soldiers."
Seeing Kei’s face grow even more serious, Sunan offered so reassurance.
"Most of the slaves in the Human-faced Lion City State are Kobolds and Lizardn, whose strength isn’t much greater than ordinary soldiers, only the Ogres are a bit of a problem."
"The real threat is only the two thousand human-faced lions."
"What do you plan to do?" Kei asked seriously.
Sunan already had a plan in mind; without thinking, he replied:
"First, continue to block off that forest. From now on, it will be a military zone, and unauthorized personnel are not allowed to enter."
"Second, establish a camp in front of the cave. I need a bridgehead to attack the Human-faced Lion City State."
"Additionally, I need a large amount of granite."
Kei agreed to all of this and then asked, "How many troops do you need to send to assist you?"
He had long wanted to deal with the threat of the underground city-state, even if it ant incurring so loss. He was prepared for it.
