After coming back, there’s quite a bit to do tonight.
"Nobody’s lived here yet, so we need to do so cleaning. We have to wipe the tables and such."
"Xu Lin? Join us in cleaning, see how well-behaved Yanyan is?"
Xu Lin could only clean with the two of them. It wasn’t physically hard, but it was really boring.
Finally, everything was done after two hours.
Past eleven, Xu Lin went to his bedroom’s en suite to take a shower.
Not long after Xu Lin started showering, Rong Xiyi sneaked in quietly and locked the door behind her.
"Xu Lin, I’m here!"
She whispered excitedly.
Xu Lin had left the bathroom door open and saw her.
"What are you doing?"
"I’m sleeping with you tonight!"
"Then wait for to finish showering."
"Hmph, I’m showering too!"
Rong Xiyi, quite bold, wasn’t shy around Xu Lin for a while now, so she undressed right in front of him and walked in.
Xu Lin patted her on the butt.
"Xu Lin, why are you patting my butt again?"
"Why? Lie down on the sink!"
"Pervert!"
Only then did Rong Xiyi realize what Xu Lin wanted to do.
"You call a pervert? You’re the one who ca in while I’m showering. You know it’s easy for to get carried away at my age, right?"

Rong Xiyi obediently laid down on the sink, presenting Xu Lin with quite the provocative posture.
Seeing this, Xu Lin had to warm up, by giving Rong Xiyi a cheeky massage.
It took less than a minute.
Afterward, Xu Lin held Rong Xiyi’s mouth shut with his hand.
Rong Xiyi was usually quite loud, an extre compared to Ning Yuhuan who was too shy to speak.
But since Ms. Ren was around, Xu Lin dared not ss with Rong Xiyi too much, so by one in the morning they were ready to sleep.
"Xu Lin."
"What’s up?"
Xu Lin sensed that she had sothing to say.
"Happy New Year!"
Rong Xiyi smiled charmingly and hugged him.
Xu Lin was taken aback, suddenly realizing it was New Year’s Eve and past midnight, they had already entered New Year’s Day 2026.
"Happy New Year!"

"Yeah, Happy New Year, let’s sleep."
"Alright, sleep tight."
Xu Lin pulled over the blanket, and soon Rong Xiyi fell asleep; she was truly exhausted.
Yet Xu Lin was still awake.
With the New Year just arrived, he rembered, he hadn’t sent Ning Yuhuan a ssage to wish her well.
Xu Lin turned on his phone and noticed several ssages, including one from Ning Yuhuan sent right at midnight.
Now it was already past one in the morning.
Ning Yuhuan wouldn’t stay up late unless Xu Lin was around.
"Hubby, it’s a new year now, Happy New Year!"
"Senior, Happy New Year!"
Xu Lin replied.
Yu Xinyan also sent a ssage, a New Year’s wish as well.
"Yanyan, Happy New Year!"
Xu Lin replied to her too.
He was about to put down his phone to sleep when another ssage from Yu Xinyan ca.
"Xu Lin, are you staying up late again?"
"Aren’t you staying up late too?"
Xu Lin: "Get so sleep early."
"Are you going out tomorrow? I’m on break."
"Nope, I’m in the provincial city, staying with my mom."
"Oh, okay then."
"Rest early," Xu Lin said.
Yu Xinyan: "Is it cold there?"
"It’s double-digit temperatures, not cold."
"But there’s a big temperature difference between day and night, rember to keep warm, don’t catch a cold, or I’d worry."
"Ok, you too."
"Mhmm!"
They actually chatted for about ten minutes, Yu Xinyan was still working on an assignnt, and everyone in the dorm hadn’t slept yet. Xu Lin urged her to sleep before they finally ended the chat.
The next morning, Ms. Ren made the first breakfast in the new ho.

It took most of the day to complete the move.
Xu Lin realized he underestimated his mom, or rather, underestimated won.
Because Ms. Ren had so many things, just clothes filled seven big bags, the kind used for packing quilts, and rather large ones at that. Just imagine how many clothes she has.
And that’s just the clothes; there were plenty of other miscellaneous items.
In short, a ton of stuff.
"So much stuff."
Xu Lin couldn’t help but complain.
Ms. Ren retorted directly, "What do you know?"
Xu Lin: "I called a moving service, your car won’t fit all this."
"Then call the moving service."
"Let’s not take the things we don’t need over there."
"Okay, I’ll listen to you."
After the moving service arrived, they loaded everything to be transported, and Xu Lin followed them to move. But he drove Ms. Ren’s car, not the moving truck.
Once that trip was done, Xu Lin ca back, contacted the property managent at the rental place, and got two cleaning ladies for 500 each. In the end, after two hours, the rental was spotless, with even the slightest gri in the bathroom cleaned.
"Finally leaving this place!"
Ms. Ren looked at the rental place she had lived in for five years and couldn’t help but sigh.
People tend to be sentintal, and anyone who has rented a place can understand the mories they’ve left behind.
Then Xu Lin suddenly asked, "Want to post on your social dia for old tis’ sake?"
"You little brat, so insensitive!"
Ms. Ren pinched Xu Lin’s cheek.
Rong Xiyi, always mischievous, also reached out to pinch Xu Lin’s cheek, saying, "Insensitive!"
Xu Lin chuckled but said nothing.
At five in the afternoon on New Year’s Day, they returned the rental place.
