So, the two decided to climb Cangshan today. The main peak, Malong Peak, is just over 4000 ters above sea level, and it's pretty cold up there. Xu Lin and friends needed to wear thick clothing to get up there, so they also had to buy down jackets. Fortunately, neither of them suffered from altitude sickness; otherwise, they would need to carry oxygen tanks.
Cangshan boasts about nineteen peaks, attracting hikers nationwide throughout the year, and it takes at least six to seven hours to get to the top.
Xu Lin wasn't particularly enthused about hiking.
They took the Shimatan Cableway to ascend directly instead of climbing.
The cableway is over five thousand ters long, offering plenty of scenery along the way.
Afterward, they reached an altitude of 3,900 ters, but that wasn't the peak yet—they still had to climb over 1,100 steps on foot.

So, after five hundred steps, Pei Danqing was exhausted, stopping frequently, pausing for over half a minute every few steps.
Along the way, many others were climbing similarly to Pei Danqing—just regular folks; so had to rest every ten steps.
"Tired already?"
Unlike the gasping Pei Danqing, Xu Lin remained relaxed, not catching his breath at all.
Everyone else was bundled in down jackets, while Xu Lin started with one but stripped down to just a tank top after climbing over a hundred steps.
