"By all the damned seas, what have ye done??"

"Damn," Alaric cursed while turning his head towards Solomon, "Keep your voice down, will ya?"

Solomon was surprised to witness two naked bodies on the floor behind his house. One was a templar soldier and one was soone he recognized. 'Where did their clothes go?'

"This is... Edmund Colston," Solomon neared the fat guy who was now known as Edmund, "I reckon they all know where the young slave is?"

'By Ra's na... he can kill alright. Targeted the Templar's throat too.'

"Edmund ey? So this is the son of that Edward Colston guy?" Alaric asked, earning him a nod in return, he then nudged the dead templar's body using his foot. "And no, far as I heard, this dunce tipped off that guy first… likely hopin' for extra coin from this fat sack o' shit."

Solomon would only sigh at the situation. He then placed his index and middle finger below the side of Edmund's jaw, "Why'd you leave 'im breathin'?"

"To crucify him."

"..."

"What? Too gory for you?"

The egyptian shook his head and stood up, "That is not the way of the brotherhood. You did fine takin' out these bastards, but let's not sink to such savagery."

"Relax will ya?" Alaric smirked while throwing a scroll towards Solomon, "Read that, it's an interesting one."

"Oh?" Solomon catched it and stared at Alaric, "You know how to read?"

"What's up with that question? My family's poor but I ain't dumb," Alaric ntioned while putting his hands on his waist, "And I signed our contract rember? I wouldn't sign anything I don't understand."

Solomon chuckles and nods, he then reads the contents of the scroll seriously.

'To Master Edmund Colston,

I take up my pen with all due haste to impart tidings of a most regrettable nature. It has co to our attention that a slave, scarcely of seven years, hath fled the confines of the warehouse by the docks. Such an event hath set your venerable father into a state of no small agitation, and in his mounting ire, hath directed you to pursue the matter with utmost urgency.

In his wisdom, Sire Edward hath decreed that you, with resolute determination, secure the return of the aforentioned youth, whether by force or otherwise, though all must be conducted with strict secrecy. It is imperative that no murmur of these proceedings escape, so as not to besmirch his good na and reputation.

I therefore urge you to proceed with caution and diligence. May Providence guide your every step in this delicate endeavour.

Godspeed,

Albert'

"I'm not surprised," Solomon furled the scroll and tossed it back to Alaric, "They probably don't know that Edmund had a lead on the slave, it's fortunate they're trying to be discreet about it."

Alaric nods and reaches for his kunai pouch, "We don't need him then."

"What do you-" Solomon could only widen his eyes as so sort of small dagger flung towards Edmund's throat. The Egyptian didn't even get to see Alaric throwing it, "-an..."

"Oh?" Alaric looked at Solomon nonchalantly, "I figured to just kill him, we're not gonna use him anyway."

"..."

"..."

"Are you an Assassin or just a bloody madman?"

'Neither, you son of a bitch.'

After burning the scroll, Alaric went inside the house and walked towards the 2nd floor.

Alaric knocked on a certain door and opened it, barbecues on his other hand.

"..."

The young slave was still on the floor, hugging both his knees while cowering. He no longer had wounds on his body but there were still scars from old healed wounds.

'I can't imagine how much torture he received from whips used by slave traders,' Alaric thought as he announced his presence. "Hey..."

The young slave then looked up to see two barbecues being handed to him Alaric, "Th-Thank. I thank."

Alaric nods and just sits on the floor beside the slave.

They proceeded to eat without talking. Alaric finished first as he only ate one stick.

"What's your na?" The young Kenway asked, not looking at the slave. "I'm Alaric... Alaric Jonathan Kenway."

He then looked at the slave who listened while eating, "You must have so na, right?"

The slave continued eating and after a minute, he wanted to say sothing but he choked and coughed.

"Ah, you should've eaten slowly."

The young slave was focused on coughing so Alaric didn't bother hiding his hands as two glasses of water spawned on his hands from thin air.

"Here," Alaric hands one glass to the slave while drinking the other.

Grabbing the glass, the slave imdiately drank it like in one go. "Haaa!"

'I haven't experienced what he went through but I understand why he ate like there's no tomorrow, you don't get to it leisurely when you're a slave,' Alaric thought as he looked at the young slave.

"With around, you won't ever starve and I will make sure you're safe, so relax a bit."

"..."

"..."

"Thulani..."

Alaric smirks as he got up from the floor and extends his towards the runaway slave, "Thulani huh... it's nice to finally get a disciple..."
