Just like Shana and Princess Aracelle predicted, the past three days were uneventful.
This ti, it was the Jinns that headed to Casimir City, which was the strongest fortress in the Cygni Continent.
At least, that was what it was supposed to be until the Azothralls infiltrated it in broad daylight.
For the first ti in history, all the leaders of the human race and the Jinns gathered inside one room to talk about the fate of the Cygni Continent.
They had temporarily set aside their differences since they were up against a common enemy.
Sotis, all it took was a third party to muddy the waters in order for two warring factions to unite.
Thirteen sat between Tristan and Douglas, which was the main seat of the alliance.
The leaders of twenty-eight factions of the Jinns had co, bringing a small entourage alongside them.
Of course, this "small" entourage was composed of ten Rank 9 Sovereigns and twenty Rank 8 Sovereigns.
The rest of the Jinns had ford one ga army around the city of Velmusa, gathering all of their forces in one place.
Right now, they couldn't afford to divide their forces, especially after what happened recently.
Only ten Rank 9 Sovereigns and twenty Rank 8 accompanied the leaders to Casimir City, and the rest of the Sovereigns were left to guard Velmusa City.
When everyone was ready to talk, the first thing that they discussed was how to locate the Azothralls.
"Finding them is the greatest challenge that we face at the mont," Prince Valen said calmly. "If we can't find them, then this war will never end. I don't want to say this, especially after we have just allied with each other, but the current situation puts both of our factions in a bind."
Tristan nodded. "I agree. But what can we do?"
The room quieted down for a bit before Wendell Elrod raised his hand.
"Finding the Azothralls is like going fishing," Wendell stated. "We need to use the right bait to hook them."
Tristan's and Prince Valen's expressions hardened a bit, but they didn't say anything to oppose Wendell's proposal.
"Zion, I know that you're hiding Shana and Princess Aracelle," Wendell said. "But if we want to find the Azothralls, we will need their powers."
Everyone's gaze landed on the teenage boy, waiting for his answer.
He looked calm on the surface, but many believed that he was thinking of other things behind his poker face.
"I also agree that using them as bait is the only way that we can entice the Azothrall to take action," Thirteen replied. "I already have their consent, and both told that they were ready to take a gamble as long as I'm the one in charge of the operation to capture the Azothralls."
"I have no objections," Tristan declared.
"No objections here," Prince Valen comnted.
Since the mbers of the two girls' families had given their consent, everyone was finally able to sigh in relief.
The only reason why Tristan and Prince Valen didn't disagree with the plan was due to the fact that Zion would be the one to lead the operations.
If it were anyone but him, the two would not readily agree to use their family mbers as bait.
Thirteen and Shana were secretly engaged, so Tristan trusted that the teenage boy wouldn't allow his daughter to suffer.
As for Prince Valen, he was now aware of his sister's relationship with Zion.
Also, after the teenage boy risked his life to protect her, the prince knew that his sister was in good hands.
"In order for this plan to succeed, I will need five to six Rank 9 Sovereigns from the Jinns," Thirteen stated. "But since I don't know their abilities, I would need everyone to list them down for .
"I will only pick the candidates who can play a role in this operation. This is the only way we can defeat our enemies."
The leaders of the different factions frowned as divulging the abilities of their Sovereigns was detrintal to them.
Sure, they might be allied with the Wanderers now.
But what of the future?
After the Azothralls were defeated, they would once again be fighting each other.
Lastly, Zion wasn't just an ordinary Wanderer.
He was the Supre Strategist of the Alliance.
None of them felt safe giving their greatest enemy the information about their trump cards.
If Zion were to co up with a way to counter their high-ranking fighters, wouldn't that put them at a disadvantage?
Seeing that the leaders of the Jinns were hesitating, Prince Valen couldn't help but sigh in his heart.
He understood them very well, and if his sister wasn't the one who was in danger, he would be thinking the sa way as they do.
A few minutes passed, and the leaders of the Jinns kept their silence.
Thirteen could empathize with the Jinns. If he were also in their shoes, he would definitely not say anything.
After a few more minutes, he lightly tapped the table to get everyone's attention.
"How about we compromise?" Thirteen said. "I will need the two Rank 8 Moles of the Skavari, the Rank 9 Deathworm of the Azrakith Court, the two Rank 9 Peacocks of House Pavareth, and Princess Laventia of the Velmoria Kingdom."
"Huh?!" Princess Laventia, who was just minding her own business, almost fell off her chair after her na was called out by Zion. "Why ?!"
"Because you're going to be of use to this operation," Thirteen replied. "I need you, Princess. I hope that you will agree to help ."
This ti, all the Jinns looked at the young lady, making her turn pale.
The Succubi had always played a neutral stance in anything, not dabbling their hands in politics or plans of war.
They would simply follow what the majority had decided, like they always did.
But now, their princess was forced into the lilight, making her feel anxious.
"How about I take my sister's place instead?" Princess Xynalia proposed. "I'm sure anything she can do, I can do better."
"No." Thirteen shook his head. "It must be Princess Laventia."
"Can I know why?" Princess Xynalia asked. "I am her guardian, so I have the right to know."
Thirteen hesitated, but still agreed to talk about it. However, he planned to talk about it in private, rather than in public.
After that was settled, the awkward atmosphere in the room was lifted.
Thirteen would talk with Princess Laventia and Princess Xynalia in private after the conference ended.
So, for the ti being, the Wanderers and the Jinns talked about the possibility of a long-lasting alliance between both sides.
This ant that they wouldn't need to go to war after the Azothralls were defeated.
A quarter of the Jinns liked this proposal, but the rest were still on the fence about it.
As for the Wanderers, they knew that their survival rested upon the teenage boy who had single-handedly eliminated the Azothralls and given the Jinns a taste of what he was capable of doing.
Also, the Leventis Family was currently the most powerful family in the world, so his words held a lot of weight when it ca to important matters.
An hour had passed, and the Jinns and the Wanderers agreed to have another talk a week from now about the possible non-aggression pact, even after the fight with the Azothralls had ended.
So with the eting adjourned, Thirteen led Princess Laventia and Princess Xynalia to his room to talk about the reason why he needed the princess to join the operation that would allow them to capture or eliminate the Azothralls once and for all.
