Aldebaran Continent, a few minutes before Azoh’Ran was ordered to target Zia a second ti...
"You want to head to the Cygni Continent and help Zion?" Erasmus, the Death Lord, asked the being who had appeared before him.
"Mmm, that’s right." tatron nodded. "The God of Wanderers begged for help, and being the magnanimous person that I am, I decided to be nice and agree to their request. Currently, Zion is unconscious because ’she’ has been captured by the enemy.
"Fortunately, ’she’ was rescued afterwards. However, ’her’ safety is not guaranteed at the mont. Since you two are close, I ca here to let you know about ’her’ condition."
"She?" Erasmus blinked. "Zion is a he."
"Of course, I know that." tatron chuckled. "But right now, for confidential reasons, he is currently a she. Lastly, I will give you a boon. Not only will I raise your rank, as well as the ranks of your subordinates, I will also give you a freebie.
"The freebie won’t last that long, but you will be unstoppable while it’s in effect. So, do you feel like helping Thirteen right now?"
Erasmus didn’t even need to think, and handed Rhia, who was seated on his lap, to Remi.
"Let’s go," Erasmus said.
"I like decisive Death Lords," tatron smiled. "It’s quite unfortunate that I only have 13 seats in my organization. Oh well, let’s go."
———
Present ti...
"Hmm... you’re tougher than expected, which is a good thing. Having a subordinate like you will make this trip worth it."
Azoh’Ran’s golden eyes narrowed as the figure on the Wyvern King’s back leisurely floated down to et him.
Clad in a flowing black cloak, with a silver crown of bone resting atop his head, the Death Lord, Erasmus, gazed at the Golden Azothrall with satisfaction.
"Golden-plated. High-density mana circuits. Self-regeneration core... You will make a good subordinate." Erasmus remarked, his skeletal fingers tapping his chin.
"Do you have a na? It will be awkward to call you Goldy in the future. My naming sense is the sa as Thirteen, so it’s best if you tell your na while you’re still alive."
Azoh’Ran growled in anger. "The na is Azoh’Ran, and I will not be your subordinate! I will kill you!"
Erasmus tilted his head, a bemused smile playing on his lips. "Ah, yes. Kill the Undead. You’re smarter than you look."
The Lord of Death only had enough ti to raise its sword to parry the razor sharp claws of Azoh’Ran, who wished to slice him into countless pieces.
"You see..." Erasmus’ voice echoed lazily, "Your creator made you to kill. But that’s no use for . After all, I’m already dead. You can’t kill what is already dead, can you?"
"Then disappear!" Azoh’Ran roared in anger as it unleashed a golden breath attack at point-blank range.
Azothralls had the uncanny ability to change their body’s composition on the fly, especially after devouring monsters and using those monsters’ skills as their own.
Zia, who just opened her eyes, saw the breath attack from the peak of the Planar Mountain Range.
Her body felt heavy as lead, so she allowed Princess Aracelle to support her in standing up.
As her gaze landed on the Lord of Death, who was fighting against Azoh’Ran, she couldn’t help but think that soone must’ve pulled so strings to make the Lord of Death appear in this battle.
Suddenly, a familiar voice spoke to her from behind.
"You owe one, Thirteen."
The young lady didn’t need to turn around, having identified who it was.
"Understood," Zia replied. "But, can I owe you a little bit more?"
tatron chuckled, thinking that the System of Cannon Fodders sure liked to take advantage of certain situations.
"I’m listening." tatron crossed his arms over his chest.
"There are three lazy Earth Dragons in the Rigel Continent. Ask Laplace Demon to negotiate with them," Zia proposed.
"Hah!" tatron chuckled. "Alright. I’ll put that favor on your tab for now."
The God of Apocalypse disappeared and relayed Thirteen’s ssage to Laplace Demon.
As to whether the "Manager" of the Wanderers would agree to her request or not, it would be answered in a few minutes.
Back on the battlefield...
Erasmus sliced through Azoh’Ran’s breath attack with a casual swing of his sword, splitting the torrent of destruction as if it were re mist.
"That’s it?" Erasmus chuckled. "How about you use a stronger attack?"
"H-How?!" Azoh’Ran couldn’t understand why it couldn’t kill a Rank 9 Sovereign.
Although this was its first ti fighting an Undead Monster, it refused to believe that they couldn’t be killed.
And he was right.
Even Undead Monsters wouldn’t be able to survive such powerful attacks, so why hadn’t the Giant Centipede and Erasmus died from Azoh’Ran’s attacks, especially since it was more powerful than they were?
Well, the answer was really simple...
"I have a cheat right now," Erasmus said with a smile. "Aside from that High-Archon fighting against Cranky, no one can kill ."
Of course, Erasmus deliberately didn’t ntion that no one could kill him or his subordinates for an hour since he had a cheat given to him by the God of the Apocalypse.
There were naturally conditions attached. For one, he could only use this power within a few miles away from Zia.
Lastly, Erasmus could only defend. tatron banned attacking first since it would result in a strong backlash from the cause and effect.
As long as the enemy broke the rules first, the God of the Apocalypse could get away with this much.
In short, as long as the conditions were t, Erasmus was unkillable for an hour, which would make anyone who faced the Lord of Death fall into despair and helplessness.

With a furious roar, the Golden Azothrall’s body began to morph.
Bladed wings unfolded from its back, golden tendrils lashed out from its limbs, and its plating shifted into jagged, saw-like edges.
It was entering its Apex Predator Mode—a state where it sacrificed defense for overwhelming offensive prowess.
The ground cracked beneath its feet as Azoh’Ran lunged forward, claws aid directly at Erasmus’ skull.
The Lord of Death smirked and extended his hand to grab the claw that was about to pierce his head.
Not only was he invincible for an hour, but all of his senses were also maxed out.
In reality, Azoh’Ran was moving extrely fast. But in Erasmus’ eyes, the Golden Azothrall was moving in slow motion.
With a look of disbelief, Azoh’Ran looked at its claw that was held firmly in the Undead’s skeletal hand.
"Is that the best you can do?" Erasmus asked, his arrogance fueled by this mont of invincibility.
Azoh’Ran’s response was to unleash a barrage of strikes, each faster and more vicious than the last.
Sparks and shockwaves rippled with every impact, but the Death Lord sat calmly on the Wyvern King’s back, a statue of effortless defiance.
Camazotz and Zed, who were watching this battle, couldn’t help but wipe the sweat on their foreheads.
"Do you know that guy?" Camazotz asked.
"Yes," Zed answered. "But I didn’t know that Lord Erasmus was this strong. He never showed this side of himself on the Rigel Continent."
’... Should I start calling him Older Brother too?’ Camazotz thought. ’He’s so cool!’
Erasmus had no idea about the thoughts of those who were watching his battle.
Unbeknownst to him, his performance upgraded his image. In the onlookers’ eyes, he was an all-powerful being who could easily face off against an Archon despite being weaker in rank. His cool attitude also made them look at him with a gaze filled with respect and admiration.
