Rana exhaled slowly, forcing her trembling hands to steady.
Truth be told, when the first cannon blast had hit the shields protecting the city, she thought it would pierce right through it.
To her delight, it held up until the wave of blasts ended before shattering completely. She initially thought they’d have no choice but to engage the enemy without the shield, but new shields quickly replaced them again and again, protecting the city from harm.
The Celestial who had built the city from scratch thought that a miracle had happened. However, before she could rejoice, the enemy’s cannon fired a second ti.
She could even vaguely sense that this was more powerful than the first strike they had received.
"Brace yourselves!" Rana shouted, the echo of her voice imdiately drowned by the loud explosion that shook the city.
The blinding light had forced many to cover their eyes, with so of them even thinking that the light would be the last thing they would see before they turned to ashes.
However, the shields once again held true, protecting everyone from the devastating strike before shattering completely.
Just as she was thinking that a second miracle would no longer happen, a three-layered shield rose up to defy all expectations.
She almost lost her voice, but she was forced to shout out of sheer will in order to confirm the status of the city.
"Status report!" Rana shouted, her voice echoing across the battlents.
"Shields are stable. No cracks detected!" a defender replied, disbelief heavy in his tone. "Damage in the city is minimal—the walls still stand!"
Murmurs erupted among the soldiers manning the walls, their fears slowly turning into awe.
"It held... the shields held..." One of the City Guards muttered breathlessly.
The Captain of the guard sighed in relief before shouting his orders. "Hold positions. No one breaks formation!"
Rana’s breathing had completely halted earlier, forgetting how. It was only now that she could finally let the air go, feeling more at ease.
She looked across her city, looking for any signs of damage. Her calm only ca back in full after she confird that the city had not fallen from the two consecutive strikes, which she thought would have ended them.
The Celestial then gazed at the tower located near the front lines, where Zion currently stood.
A magical formation hovered above the young man’s head, while his hands moved as if he was writing on air.
As he continued to weave his Rune Magic, the runes flew towards the magic circle above him, slowly completing the formation that would signal their counterattack.
A few seconds after Thirteen finished his Runic Formation, the enemy’s cannon fired a third ti. However, it wasn’t alone.
Perhaps Castor and Regulus had already reached the limit of their patience, so they ordered all the airships to unleash a barrage against the city.
Castor believed that as long as the shields were destroyed, the cover fire from his forces would obliterate everything else.
It was a sound plan, and it would have succeeded if they had used this strategy from the start.
The mont the blast from the main cannon collided with the three-layered shield, it once again shattered, leaving the city defenseless against the bombardnt that was about to rain upon them.
However, Thirteen’s rune magic had already activated, and it created a powerful sucking power that forced the bombardnt to fly towards its center.
This continued for nearly a minute before Castor, and Regulus ordered to stop the attacks of the Airships.
They couldn’t understand what was happening, but before they could even try to ponder what just happened, Thirteen sneered and pointed in their direction.

Countless Runic Formations appeared above the city and unleashed a barrage of golden swords against their enemies.
""Raise the shields!"" Castor and Regulus ordered at the sa ti.

Each blade humd with destructive power, vibrating with the resonance of the ancient runic script etched into its surface.
The first volley struck the enemy airships, creating powerful explosions that made the soldiers of Lyra City cheer from their vantage point.
While the Great Killing Array of Lyra City was several tis weaker than the one in Antares, it was still strong enough to pose a threat to anything that it hit.
Castor and Regulus thought that the bombardnt would soon end.
But even after reaching the two-minute mark, the rain of golden swords didn’t end, and continued to pelt on their shields, which had now started to form cracks.
"Aegis formation!" Castor ordered.
The two Flagships of the armies moved to the front of the formation, and the heavily shielded Airships moved to their sides.
The other Airships moved behind the flagships, using their bulk to minimize the damages that they were taking.
"Well, at least they are using their heads," Thirteen comnted before talking to his Aether Link.

Rocky slowly rose towards the surface.
The Hellfire Bal-Boa was at the rear of the enemy’s formation, but Thirteen’s bombardnt acted as a smokescreen, preventing anyone from detecting its presence.
When it was close to the surface, it ejected Cranky from its Mobile Fortress.
The handso man didn’t hesitate and covered his body with a lightning bolt before colliding with the ship at the very back of the formation.
The shields that were already littered with cracks shattered after Cranky’s initial strike.
When Castor and Regulus realized what was happening, four of their Airships were already crashing to the ground, quickly followed by the fifth bursting into flas.
Cranky’s figure blurred, leaving arcs of lightning crackling in his wake.
Every ti he appeared, a new explosion followed, and the destruction looked like fireworks in the sky.
He didn’t even bother to give the falling airships a second glance, directly resuming his rampage.
Unless Casto and Regulus were to intercept him themselves, no one would be able to stop the one-man army, who was moving according to Thirteen’s will.
