"I see. Maple and Cinnamon left." Thirteen said when he was told the news after he rejoined the group.
After informing Zion about her two little sister's departure, Stella noticed that the young man looked a little sad.
"Don't worry," Stella said. "Knowing them, it wouldn't take that long before they show up again. They just need to go ho since they like sneaking out a lot, making their mother worry all the ti."
A faint smile graced Thirteen's lips as he nodded in agreent.
The young man genuinely liked Maple and Cinnamon, most probably because they were the only ones who appreciated his cooking.
In Zion's point of view, the two adorable gluttons were true connoisseurs, for they understood the awesoness of his cooking.
'Ordinary humans simply cannot appreciate my cooking ,' Thirteen thought. So far, only those two know the real deal.'
Although he would truly miss the two gluttons, Thirteen decided to focus on the things that he needed to deal with at the mont.
"One last thing…" Stella glanced at her friend, who was leaning on one of the Humvees and looking in their direction. "Siri wants to have a word with you."
"With ?" Thirteen looked at Siri, whose arms were crossed over her chest. For so reason, her hair color had changed into blue, making Thirteen wonder if she was prepping up for battle. "Hey, does she change her hair color depending on her mood?"
"I don't know," Stella replied. "I still haven't known her long enough to notice her mood swings."
With a sigh, the teenage boy decided to settle this matter as quickly as possible. After all, he still needed to et with the captains of his 69th Battalion and the Legionnaires, as well as the Valkyries.
"So, what's up?" Thirteen asked.
"In the place we're headed, I think a relative of mine is staying there," Siri answered. "Do you mind if I personally deal with them?"
The teenage boy glanced around in their surroundings before grabbing Siri's hand.
He ignored the stares of everyone who saw him dragging the young beauty towards his Humvee, including Vincent and Penny who looked at each other with knowing smiles on their faces.
"Zion is growing up," Vincent comnted. "He's starting to get greedy."
"As expected of the Commander, he likes them older than him." Penny nodded in agreent.
When they finally arrived at the Humvee, he asked Sherry to guard the outside and not allow anyone to disturb his talk with Siri.
After making sure that the sound proofing chanism of the vehicle was activated, the teenage boy finally turned his attention back to the young lady, who was looking at him with amusent.
"I never thought you'd be the pushy type," Siri said in a teasing tone. "You drag here all alone and make sure that no one can hear us. Is Sherry and Erica no longer enough for you?"
Thirteen ignored Siri's words and simply asked her the question he believed was the crux of her desire to talk to him.
"Are you related to House Pavareth?" Thirteen asked.
"… How did—" Siri looked at Zion in shock. This was sothing only she and her mother should've known about.
Assured that this was a closely guarded secret, she believed the commander of the 69th Battalion got this information from a different source.
Seeing the dumbfounded look on the young lady's face, Thirteen added more information, surprising her further.
"The person calling the shots in Alcove City is Princess Aracelle of House Pavareth," Thirteen stated. "I chose to target her because she's the easiest to deal with among the royalty who ca from Gomorra through the mutated Gates.
"I don't know how important she is to her people, but once I capture her, I plan to squeeze out all the information she has about the number and quality of troops that will arrive from their faction.
"So, I apologize in advance. I really cannot let you have her. At least not until I'm done interrogating her. But once I've extracted all the value she has, you can have her."
"So her na is Aracelle." Siri narrowed her eyes. "Very well. As long as you promise to give her to alive once you're done with your interrogation, I will help you capture her."
"You have a deal," Thirteen replied. "Is there anything else I should know?"
"I thought you're going to ask 'is there any other secrets that you are keeping from ?'" Siri smirked. "But it seems that I'm still underestimating you, Zion. If you know about Aracelle, then you must already know about , right?"
"I don't know many things about you," Thirteen answered. "But I know that the two of us cannot beco enemies. You also know that, right?"
"Indeed." Siri agreed. "You really are mysterious, Zion. Sotis, I just want to crack open that head of yours and see what makes you tick."
"Unfortunately, you don't have the ability to do that," Thirteen replied. "Have you forgotten our fight in the Temple of Courage?"
"That one doesn't count," Siri replied in a heartbeat, her face flushed out of embarrassnt. "You got lucky. I wasn't feeling good that day."
"Uh huh." Thirteen gave her the 'no one is going to believe you gaze.'
"Anyway, I'm different now." Siri puffed up her chest. "I'm stronger than before. I didn't spend the last two years being lazy."
Thirteen glanced at the young lady's modest chest that was only slightly bigger than Sherry's before shifting his attention back to her beautiful face.
"If your strength is as big as your chest, I think you're being too overconfident," Thirteen said in a teasing tone. "You should have at least Erica's size to back up your claim."
"Y-You!" Siri covered her chest with her hands. "You are starting to sound like a pervert like Vincent and Penny."
"… I've never felt so insulted in my life." Thirteen blinked once then twice after hearing Siri's words. "Being compared to those two has more emotional damage than I thought."
"Hmph!" Siri walked to the back of the Humvee to leave. "Anyway, I've told you what I want. Just stick to the deal, and we can still be friends. Also, don't you ever ntion my chest again in the future."
Siri left the Humvee with a beet-red face, her hands still covering her chest.
Seeing her expression, Vincent and Penny gave each other a knowing smirk because they were very familiar with that kind of expression from girls.
"Attayboy, Zion." Vincent teared up. "I'm the one who raised that kid and taught him everything he knows."
"As expected of you, Vincent," Penny comnted. "Should I also write so tips in a small notebook and pass it to the Commander?"
"Of course," Vincent replied. "Zion lacks experience, and as his experienced older brothers, we need to help him in his ti of need. The more he knows, the better he will perform when the right ti cos."
The two n of culture then started to brainstorm, writing what they discussed in a small notebook.
They were compiling the most effective ways to teach the teenage boy the art of becoming the man among n, who could handle so many ladies in their life.
If Erica, Sherry, and Shana were there to see what the two bastards were doing, they would probably burn both of them while tied to a stake.
That way, they would not be able to corrupt their fiance, whom they loved very much.
