"What's the status of the gates?" Roland seriously looked at the officer who was in touch with the Central Governnt's main command center.
"Energy fluctuations are still rising," the Operator replied. "However, it's confird that the High-Tiered Gates are once again mutating. According to estimates, Rank 9 Monsters are to appear in a few hours."
"What are the chances of a Majin Prince or a Majin Princess crossing over?" Derek asked.
"The energy from the gate may not be enough to allow such existences to cross over. But Pseudo-Majin Prince or Princess may be able to cross over from the gate."
A Pseudo-Majin Prince or Princess was a Rank 9 Sovereign that was only a step away from becoming a True Majin Prince or Princess.
They were called Peak Sovereigns and only needed a few more years or an opportunity to cross over to the next Rank.
Right now, this was the greatest worry of the Central Governnt and the Defenders of the Cygni Coalition.
Thirteen sat calmly at the command center with his arms crossed over his chest.
His eyes were closed, and he seed to be in deep thought.
In reality, he was actually connecting to Athena so he could get a better understanding of the situation through her satellite imagery.
'One of the gates will open in two to three hours,' Thirteen thought as he looked at the Gate shining the brightest from Athena's gaze.
Although he expected the gates to open in the next few days, he didn't expect one of them would open early.
'Perhaps the barrier protecting Pangea has reached its limit and can no longer block the invaders from Gomorra,' Thirteen mused. 'Still, I wonder what faction would be the first to cross over.'
The first to cross over might not necessarily be the strongest faction in Gomorra, but they would certainly be the ones who made the most preparations.
It was very obvious that the gate was being tampered with from the other side, causing it to undergo a mutation.
A few seconds later, Thirteen's communicator rang, and the caller was none other than the Monarch of the Cygni Continent, Douglas Griffin.
"I heard you are currently in Livia City," Douglas said as soon as the line was connected. "Are you going to return to Casimir City and take control of the operations of the Alliance?"
"No," Thirteen replied. "For the ti being, Renz Elrod will beco the main strategist. For the next few days, everyone should listen to his arrangents. Even if the Jinns were to cross over in a few hours, they still need so ti to adjust to our world.
"Not to ntion, if they were to attack us without any plans, I am confident that Renz alone can decimate their forces without too many problems.
"Trust , when it cos to defensive strategies, Renz is better than I am. Well, my forte is offensive strategies."
Douglas eyed Zion critically. If possible, he wanted the teenage boy to take command of the Alliance from day one. But since the latter insisted that Renz should take command for the ti being, he decided to respect his decision.
"Very well, I will send Renz to Casimir City. He'll coordinate with the Central Governnt on setting up a defensive strategy," Douglas stated. "For the ti being, what do you plan on doing?"
"I need to operate independently to gather credible information," Thirteen replied. "Don't worry about my safety. My grandfather will co with when I move out. He will be able to deal with the small fries."
Thirteen had already discussed his plans with Arthur and Cristopher. Aside from them, he also talked to Sherry's parents. All of them were asked to go to Livia City with their forces.
The 69th Battalion, the Leventis Family Elites, and the Legionnaires all counted as his personal forces that were strong enough to move independently.
Also, he had already ordered Alcapone and the rest of the 69th Battalion in the Aldebaran Continent to hop on the Central Governnt's plane and regroup with them in the next few days.
"Okay. But rember this, Zion," Douglas said in a serious tone. "I decided to form an alliance with the Central Governnt and the Leventis Family because I trust you. Don't get yourself killed in this war."
"I have no plans of dying anyti soon, Sir Douglas." Thirteen smiled faintly. "Rest assured. I'll make sure to keep myself safe."
Right after Douglas ended the call, the teenage boy's communicator once again rang.
This ti, the caller was none other than his Grandfather, Arthur.
As soon as he accepted the call, the sound of the helicopter's rotors imdiately reached his ears.
Clearly, they were traveling by air to reach Livia City at the shortest ti possible.
"Yes, Gramps?" Thirteen asked.
"We will arrive in Livia City in an hour," Arthur replied. "I just picked up Mikhail and Shasha from the airport. The other Elite mbers of the Leventis Family had co with them as well."
Thirty Champions, two hundred Grandmasters, and three hundred Masters.
Those were the forces of the Leventis Family that Arthur was going to bring into this war.
Half of their Faction's elites were left in the Aldebaran Continent, and they were to be under the command of his wife and his son, naly Lady Callista and Michael.
Thirteen had asked his grandfather not to bring all the forces of the Leventis Family into this war because of the Ashford and Stallard Clans.
He had already inford his grandfather that the two bastards might backstab their family, so leaving their nest without protection would be a very bad decision.
If not for the fact that Zion had already made preparations for this possibility, Arthur might have returned to the Aldebaran Continent to personally safeguard his family instead of staying in the Cygni Continent.
"Understood," Thirteen replied. "Tell them that I'll be waiting for them here."
Arthur nodded and ended the call.
But just like before, his communicator rang again almost imdiately, making Sherry, who sat beside him, giggle.
"You're really popular, Zion," Sherry comnted. "Who is it this ti?"
Thirteen glanced at his communicator and saw a na that made him arch an eyebrow.
"Yes, Sir Trevor?" Thirteen asked. "What can I do for you?"
The Monarch of the Aldebaran Continent, Trevor Remington, had called him for the first ti in his life.
"Zion, I have known Aaron and Norman for a very long ti, and they are the type who will not tolerate anyone who opposes them," Trevor replied. "They cannot actively kill you because they are still wary of the Grand Marshal of the Central Governnt, but that doesn't an the ones close to you are safe.
"Make sure to warn your fiancées, as well as your family in the Aldebaran Continent, about any possible assassinations. The Ashford Clan has the Silent Reapers who specialize in killing their political enemies."
"Thank you for the warning, Sir Trevor," Thirteen replied. "I will warn them to heed your advice."
Trevor nodded. "Zion, I sincerely hope that you will be able to survive this war. Frankly, I don't think we can save the Cygni Continent from its fate. But as long as we are alive, there will always be hope.
"Take care of yourself. Wendell and I will be heading to Casimir City to cooperate with the Central Governnt."
"Understood." Thirteen nodded.
When the call ended, the teenage boy took a deep sigh.
He hadn't forgotten that Trevor, Douglas, Norman, and Wendell had been accomplices of Aaron, who had backstabbed his Host.
The teenage boy still had so scores to settle with them, but for now, he decided to look at the bigger picture. For now, he will hold back and work with them to defend Pangea.
But once the upcoming invasion was dealt with, he would make sure that they all paid their dues.
