As the battle at the south and center of the continent raged, the northern defenders did their best to delay the advance of the Jinns, who had already broken through their first line of defense.

Unlike the Ravenhold Fortress, where the Monarchs were located, the north had no phisto Missiles.

However, they had an abundant stockpile of warheads and artillery shells, which they rained down upon their enemies from hundreds of miles away.

"They're fighting us tooth and nail," said General Varrak of the Skavari as he looked at the current situation on the battlefield. "Although these Wanderers are weak, I can acknowledge their bravery. Still, these weapons of theirs are very annoying to face."

Prince Xylen nodded. Indeed, the Wanderers had far surpassed the technologies the Jinns possessed.

Despite being weaker than the Jinns, the Humans marvelously presented an overwhelming show of force. Even their united army, hundreds of thousands strong, couldn't brush off the devastating power of the weaponry they were facing head-on.

"We can't allow this to continue." Prince Valen raised his hand. "Destroy them, Virelax, Avereth!"

Two of the Rank 9 Sovereigns of House Pavareth acknowledged the order of their Prince and took off to the sky.

Virelax was a Giant Prism-Feathered Peacock, whose wings were like blue crystals, reflecting the light of the sun.

The royal mbers of House Pavareth called it the Tyrant of the Skies, as it proved to be a difficult adversary to face in aerial battles.

Avereth, on the other hand, was an Ice Peacock and could freeze its opponents, turning them into statues of ice.

The Northern Alliance of the Jinn suffered from the nonstop bombardnt of the Wanderers, which significantly reduced the number of their troops.

Even though Prince Valen was very prideful and disdained using the strongest trump cards of their faction early on, he couldn't possibly watch as the bulk of their army was annihilated by the incoming projectiles from miles away.

For the best of their army, he had no choice but to send his trump cards. Only after those threats were eliminated could their armies continue their advance.

Renz Elrod, who was monitoring the central and northern battles, received an ergency call from the commander of the northern defenders.

"Sir, they have already dispatched two Rank 9 Flying Sovereigns," the Commander reported, his voice laced with anxiousness. "Please give permission to use the Majin Cannons."

"Permission approved!" Renz replied without hesitation. "Show them the power of humanity!"

Two Majin Cannons, which were located six hundred miles away from the battlefield, raised their muzzles and started charging their beam attack.

These cannons were connected to Athena, who did all the calculations at great speed to make sure that the attacks of the two cannons wouldn't miss.

"Majin Cannons, Fire!" the Commander of the North ordered.

Two beams of light streaked across the sky, aid at the two giant peacocks advancing toward the defenders.

The attack was so fast, the two Rank 9 Sovereigns didn't have the chance to evade it.

Both Phoenixes were hit dead center, making them screech in pain.

The Majin Cannons could instantly annihilate a Rank 7 Sovereign.

A single beam attack could give a Rank 8 Sovereign serious injuries, and even Rank 9 Sovereigns would receive significant damage.

The Majin Cannons were consumable weaponry, which ant they could only be used a few tis before they could no longer be used.

Each Majin Cannon could be fired five tis. They would be put out of commission after that and could only be used again after their batteries were replaced and their muzzles recovered from overheating.

The impact of the two beam attacks pushed the two giant peacocks back, angering them.

But just as they were about to move forward, two more beams of light hit them without rcy, almost making them crash from the sky.

Half a minute later, the third wave of attack continued, making Prince Valen gasp in shock.

"What in the seven heavens is that?!" Prince Valen looked at the two seriously injured peacocks in disbelief.

Earlier, Virelax and Avereth felt very confident about annihilating the Defenders, thinking they'd be done with it not long after they reached their fortress city.

However, before they could even reach the city, they had been seriously injured by the trump card of the Central Governnt, which was a nerfed version of Nautilus' main cannons.

While the Prince was reeling from the unexpected outco, the Grand Commander, Renz Elrod, gave an order.

"Tell the Defenders at the north to slowly make their retreat," Renz ordered. "We can't afford to use up the Majin Cannons this early in the war. Tell the Death Reapers they are free to use up all their ammunition in order to cover the retreat of our forces!"

"Yes, Sir!" the Aide replied and gave out the orders to various channels.

Renz's strategy was simple.

They didn't plan to win their first clash with the Jinn Armies.

He simply wanted to showcase their advanced weaponry, making the Jinns more hesitant to attack their Fortress Cities.

This plan was approved by Thirteen and the higher-ups of the Alliance, for they knew that what they lacked most was ti.

And even with the best plans, variables could still happen anyti, anywhere.

Other Jinn Factions had ford smaller groups and attacked other cities on the continent, using the strategy of divide and conquer.

In the span of a single day, 80% of the Fortress Cities at the front lines of the battlefield had turned into ruins.

No matter how perfect Renz's strategy was, it was truly impossible to cover every single base of the alliance, leading to the collapse of the front lines.

Thousands of Wanderers had died in battle. However, it was worth ntioning that more Jinns had died in this exchange.

Douglas and the defenders of the Central Plains had also made their retreat, leaving behind Ravenhold Fortress.

The Jinns raised their cries of victory the mont they occupied the fortress city.

However, that was a big mistake on their part.

Half an hour later, the bombs that Douglas and the Wanderers had left behind all detonated at the sa ti.

It turned the city into a blazing inferno, killing countless Jinns and high-level personnel of their armies.

Since the Jinns could now use communicators, it didn't take long for them to learn the status of each battlefield.

When they learned that the faction of the Garuda Empire was forced to retreat after facing off against Zion Leventis, the leaders of the Jinns were all shaken to the core.

On that day, the Jinns reevaluated the defenders of Pangea and deed they could no longer estimate them.

While this war from across the continent was being waged, the Azothralls, who had kept a low profile, attacked a city occupied by the Jinns, then feasted on their flesh and blood.

These monsters could evolve, and the more Jinns they consud, the stronger they beca.

They were the silent killers of the battlefield, acting as fishern, taking advantage of the war on both sides to benefit themselves.

No one knew that a dark horse had joined the battle, and although their numbers were only a little over twenty, they were probably the most dangerous faction that would soon take the battlefield by storm.
