At that mont, without wasting a single second more, Robert slowly pulled out his phone from the inside pocket of his sleek navy-blue suit jacket. His jaw tightened as his thumb hovered over the screen, scrolling through his contacts. The atmosphere in the room was still tense from the earlier confrontation with Oliver, but Robert had no ti to dwell on that. There were too many fires to put out, and Victoria’s drama was just one of them.

He finally tapped on Cora’s na, and within a split second, the call was already ringing.

It didn’t even get to the second ring before Cora picked up.

Her voice ca sharp and suspicious, like soone who had been expecting this call all day, yet still held onto a grudge.

"What’s going on, Robert? Are you calling now because of the share?"

Robert could already feel the tension in her tone, like a thread pulled too tight. He slowly got up from his chair, paced to the window, and stared out into the wide city skyline, the sunlight bouncing off the buildings like mirrors.

He let out a soft sigh not too long, not too heavy and said, "Cora, listen to . I know I should’ve done this earlier, and you’re absolutely right to be frustrated. But no, that’s not exactly why I’m calling... at least not entirely."

He paused for a second, gripping the phone tighter.

"But I will tell you this," Robert continued, his voice now firr, steady, and slightly more reassuring.

"You’re very close now. And I an very close. You can hold to this I give you my word, by tomorrow, you’re going to get it. The share will be yours again."

At that mont, Cora then nod her head on the phone, even though Robert couldn’t see her. Her expression was unreadable, but her voice ca through sharp and calm, layered with a bit of suspicion.

"Good," she said slowly. "So since that is not the reason you’re calling since it has nothing to do with the share then tell ... what exactly is the main reason that is making you call right now, Robert?"

She wasn’t smiling. In fact, her tone was almost cold, calculated. She hated unnecessary calls, especially when her mind was already spinning from the ss Victoria had caused earlier.

On the other end of the line, Robert took in a deep breath. He had been holding it in for a while. This wasn’t how he planned the conversation to go, but here they were.

"Well..." he began, his voice steady but thoughtful. "I didn’t want to even ask. Not really. Because, to be honest, it didn’t seem that important at first. I thought maybe I was just overthinking everything. But the truth is... I’m very, very curious, Cora. In fact, I’m extrely curious. And that curiosity is what pushed to make this call."

He paused, waiting to see if she would interrupt. She didn’t. So he went on.

"In my office, not long ago... soone ca in," he said carefully. "I don’t know who he was. I’ve never seen him before in my life. He walked in calmly, didn’t ask for permission, didn’t book an appointnt. Just ca straight into my office as if he owned the place."

Cora’s eyes narrowed where she sat. She didn’t like where this was going.

Robert continued, "He looked at dead in the eyes... and threatened . Just like that. Boldly. No hesitation. No fear. He spoke as if he had every right to warn . And guess what he said? He told to call my sister to order. He said Victoria is crossing the line getting involved in things she has no idea about. And that if I didn’t stop her... sothing bad might happen."

Robert exhaled deeply. "So I thought, okay, this is definitely about Victoria. Maybe because of what happened between you and her, maybe this person is coming to give a warning on your behalf, or maybe soone else entirely is watching."

He paused again, then leaned forward, lowering his voice.

"But... what shocked what confused even more is that the person actually ntioned your na, Cora. He didn’t beat around the bush. He ntioned you clearly. As if you had sothing to do with this. As if you were part of sothing bigger. And that... that made more curious."

At that mont, Robert’s grip tightened around his phone, pressing it a little too hard against his ear. His jaw clenched, and his voice dropped slightly more serious than ever. "Cora," he said slowly, deliberately, "this person was threatening ... like real, serious threats. Because of you."

He paused for a mont, letting his words settle, and then continued, "And from my experience my litigation instincts I can tell you, this wasn’t just soone throwing words around. This man ant business. His tone, his posture, everything about him said he was ready to go far. At first, when he ntioned Victoria, I thought maybe it had sothing to do with all that ss between you two. But then..." Robert exhaled deeply, "he added your na. Clearly. Boldly. As if you were part of the whole problem."

He shook his head as if trying to shake off the discomfort still crawling under his skin. "That’s when I knew this wasn’t just so coincidence. This wasn’t about Victoria alone. He was angry. And deadly serious."

Robert’s voice turned heavier now, tinged with frustration and a hint of warning. "Look, that’s the real reason I called. Not because of the shares. Not because of so business update. But because I need to know from you, directly Cora, if you know this person, whoever he is... call him to order. Right now. Because I’m telling you, I will not fold my hands and do nothing if he shows up again. This is a line I won’t let anyone cross."

On the other end of the line, Cora had gone completely silent. Her brows furrowed and she pulled the phone slightly away from her ear as if trying to make sense of everything she just heard. Her eyes darted across the room, deep in thought. This wasn’t sothing she saw coming. Soone threatening Robert... in her na? She knew that she didn’t have anyone in her life at least not that close who would go to such extre lengths to threaten sobody... because of what exactly?
