Then he sighed and said, "I just don’t want to give up without a fight. I have too much to gain and lose from this."

This made the seer snort and say, "Who doesn’t have sothing to gain if we win? Why do you think I went through so much effort?"

The deceiver didn’t say anything in reply to these two questions. This was because there was nothing more to say. The two of them understood exactly how much was at stake here.

In the Nexus of Truth Sect, fighting capability is not appreciated. Not even skills are appreciated either.
