Instead of doing everything to keep itself alive, the viper world king said to the will of the world with a tone full of sorrow, "I am sorry that I am weak. I am sorry that I have failed you. Please, be well."
Even though the will of the world was willing to continue supporting it with lifespan, the world king chose to die. This made Loki respect the viper.
He said to the viper, "I am impressed that you were able to recognize the futility of your efforts. It takes a certain wisdom to recognize one’s weakness, but it also requires imnse composure to look death in the face and accept it. You have been a worthy enemy."
He was impressed with the viper, but this didn’t an that he was going to stop killing it. He had gone through all of this work to create a world king so that he could extract its Divine tac. He wasn’t going to give up just because the world king was special.
The world king died a few minutes after his ascension. It was a pitiful death that made the world weep.
A red cloud ford in the sky after the world king died, and a rain of blood fell from it. The rain of blood put the whole world in a somber and sorrowful mood. Every animal and beast was sad. Only Loki was happy.
After he took the Viper Fangs tac, he strolled into the core of the world. This ti, the world didn’t try to stop his approach. It seed the will of the world was just like the viper. Both of them recognized that they were dood.
It was only now that Loki felt sothing akin to apprehension. He was still happy and willing to plunder this world. But while he was doing it, he thought about how he would feel for him to be in the sa situation as the viper and this world.
This made him say, "This is why I can’t stop. I must continue plundering and devouring and growing stronger so that I never beco them. Only by growing stronger every day can I reduce the possibility of being a weakling who has to accept the reality of his weakness and give up on resistance because it is futile."
So his apprehension turned into determination, and his introspection turned into fuel to motivate him to continue to plunder. He didn’t want to be plundered, so he made up his mind to continue to plunder.
An hour later, he left where the small world used to be with an even better mood and a sharper mind. There was only a void where the small world should have been.
This ti, he didn’t encounter any more small worlds. He even road around for a while and moved back in a zig-zag path instead of going in a straight line.
He literally went out of his way to find a small world or any world. Unfortunately, he didn’t get his wish. He could only attribute the previous encounter to luck.
His boring journey back ho didn’t beco interesting again until he actually got back ho. The journey beca interesting because he saw a small world being dragged by golden chains into the Blessed Heaven World.
The world was being pulled through the third dinsion, so it was hurtling forward at incredible speed relative to what its speed would have been if the world had been pulled through the first dinsion.
He thought about intercepting the world and even chased after it. However, he was surprised when he caught up to it.
He had expected the world to be moving too fast for him to et. Now that he could actually get to it, he felt that his plan could work.
Unfortunately, before he got close to the crystal shield of the world, golden chains materialized around the world. The golden chains wrapped the world tightly and ford a cocoon around it that blocked access to the world.
Not only that, but the golden chains also unfurled and snapped towards him. They behaved exactly like the viper he just fought in the way they lunged at him.
He didn’t know if the golden chains wanted to grab him and imprison him as they did to the world or if they wanted to kill him. He didn’t know what they wanted to do to him, but he doubted that whatever they planned was a good thing, so he jumped back to avoid them.
The golden chains missed him. But they remained around the world for a while after he left. They continued to linger for several minutes before they disappeared.
Loki didn’t see any golden chains anymore, but he wasn’t fooled into thinking that the small world was defenseless. But when he thought of who was protecting the small world, he couldn’t help but chuckle.
As he chuckled, he said to himself, ’I wonder if the small world likes that the golden chains are protecting it now. For so reason, I doubt it. I have an inkling that this small would rather be free to defend itself.’
After chuckling, he continued on his journey back ho.
If the small world had been easy to take, he might have gone through with it. But from what he could see, the golden chains were ready to defend their catch.
However, the main reason he gave up on the small world was that the golden chains were actually rank 9 objects. This ant that they were involved with at least one Dao Lord.
With that kind of background, he thought that it was a good idea not to ss with the captured small world. He just doesn’t have enough power to deal with the repercussions of taking the small world.
In fact, he doesn’t even think he can snatch the small world from the golden chains, considering that the golden chains are rank 9. It was more likely that the chains would grab him, chain his body, spirit, and mind, and prevent him from escaping by reversing ti. So he decided to give up.
