The fight among the mortals also affected the divine beings, in that so divine beings were picking sides and helping so mortals to advance. This influence was small, though,
Overall, the participation of divine beings was minimal because they had just fought in the second heaven and had spent a lot of their lifespan. So they needed so ti to recover their lifespan.
No one was enthusiastic about spending so lifespan to help a mortal advance. But so divine beings were willing to do this as long as the mortal would surrender their Cave Heaven after ascending.
This motivation to gain power through assimilating the Cave Heaven of surrendered divine beings beca greater when another Divine Position beca free. With more at stake, more divine beings beca interested.
After all, they weren’t just going to leave the two free Divine Positions to the few who were interested when only one Divine Position was available. So more divine beings began to interfere with the selection of the new divine beings.
There are two Divine Positions that belonged to the position of Sword Storm and Sword Mountain. The fact that they had both beco free now was confirmation that the divine being who used to hold them was dead.
Not many people were concerned about this fact. Especially not the divine beings of the Four Directions Sect who were in the second heaven.
For the divine beings of the Four Directions Sect, the matter of how Monarch Sword Storm had died and the matter of who would take the two Divine Positions weren’t important because these two issues didn’t concern them at all.
If they could make the new divine beings of the two free Divine Positions surrender to them, they would be interested in helping to select the two replacents. But since the Sword Pathway wasn’t compatible with them, they chose to focus on the three continents.
However, they did share jokes about the situation. Many of them had snide comnts to make about Monarch Storm Sword.
A death cultivator chuckled as they said, "So he broke his Cave Heaven into at least four to escape death. But his enemy still pursued him and still killed him. Looks like he was just wasting his ti and should just have accepted death."
A second death cultivator, a woman, said wistfully, "I wish I were his killer. It takes a lot of power to kill soone despite their willingness to sacrifice so much to get away."
But Forced Exchange shook his head and said, "I bet you wouldn’t be in a good mood right now if you were the killer. After all, the killer lost three portions of how many the Cave Heaven broke into, and also lost the two divine positions."
A forge cultivator asked, saying, "What I want to know is who the killer is. Who do you think was strong enough to kill soone after the person broke their Cave Heaven to escape?"
Then he said, "And how did the killer pull it off? It couldn’t have been easy to kill Monarch Sword Storm if we just look at the outco of the battle and these three continents."
An enslavent cultivator snorted and said, "I bet it was a sword cultivator that killed Sword Storm. Only soone who could assimilate the Cave Heaven and use his Divine tacs would go out of their way to kill him like that."
A mind hunter asked with a mocking tone, "But didn’t the sword cultivators say that it wasn’t one of them who did it? They ca here earlier to avenge him, didn’t they?"
The enslavent cultivator imdiately replied with a sneer on his face as he said, "Of course, they are lying. If you want to know the most likely people who killed Sword Storm, just look at the people who are going to benefit the most from his death."
His words made a lot of sense and caused many divine beings to nod in agreent. As divine beings, they know more than anyone else what it ans to be motivated by benefits.
If there wasn’t sothing tangible to gain, no divine being would spend their lifespan when there is the option to lie back and enjoy themselves with the lifespan.
Because of this need for tangible benefits as motivation, in most cases of murder among divine beings, the murderers are other cultivators of the sa pathway as the divine being who was killed.
If they looked at the last divine being to die in their sect, Monarch Gold Body, the person who they know to be involved in his death is the new Monarch Gold Body.
Both the old and new Monarch Gold Body have the sa pathway. They even have the sa Life Abilities.
When a divine being dies, their killer is usually part of their pathway. This is sothing that has been the case 90% out of the 100% cases of murder among divine beings. So what the enalavent cultivator said made a lot of sense to them.
This prompted the forger to say to the inslavent cultivator, ’If you’re right and the sword cultivators were responsible for his death, then they must take us for fools if they think we will believe them."
In response, the enslavent cultivator chuckled and said, "It might not be that they look down on our intelligence. It could also be that they need a reason to co back to the scene of the cri and vie for so of the loot."
This reply made a lot of people laugh and snort. Then they more people made fun of the sword cultivators and their flimsy excuse.
While they were talking about Sword Storm’s death, news began to spread about Sword Storm’s killer. Apparently, Sword Storm had described the capabilities of his killer in length before he died.
So people believed the description of the killer. But most people were dismissive of it.
The enslavent cultivator rejected the things Sword Storm said about his killer when he heard it and said, "There is no such thing as soone who can absorb law fragnts regardless of pathways."
