The destruction of the World-Eater should have been a victory.

It should have been the mont creation celebrated.

The mont heaven rejoiced.

The mont the survivors of countless wars finally allowed themselves to believe the nightmare was over.

Instead, an uneasy silence settled over existence.

Because everyone understood the sa truth.

The World-Eater had not been the greatest threat.

It had rely been the first.

Fragnts of its shattered body continued drifting through the abyss beyond the prison. Ancient chains wrapped around those fragnts, dragging them deeper into confinent. The prison had reclaid its prisoner.

But the prison itself was failing.

Every being present could feel it.

The fracture remained open.

The chains were weakening.

And countless shadows still waited beyond.

The war had been won.

The danger had not.

---

Yun stood upon a floating fragnt of reality, staring into the endless abyss.

The battlefield looked nothing like it had only hours ago.

Entire dinsions had vanished.

The Outside was fractured beyond recognition.

The heavenly realms had been reduced to scattered continents of golden light.

Even the Root's imnse branches showed signs of damage.

Existence itself bore scars that might never heal.

And yet—

For the first ti since the invasion began—

There was peace.

Temporary.

Fragile.

But real.

The silence felt strange.

Almost unfamiliar.

---

Nearby, the Devourer sat at the edge of a collapsing dinsion.

The primordial giant's injuries remained severe.

Black cracks covered its colossal body.

Ancient darkness leaked from countless wounds.

Yet it looked oddly calm.

The Shepherd stood opposite it.

Neither attacked.

Neither argued.

The hatred that had defined their relationship for ages seed exhausted.

The Shepherd gazed across the broken heavens.

"How many cycles?"

The Devourer laughed quietly.

The sound carried less hostility than before.

MORE THAN I CAN REMBER.

The Shepherd nodded.

"I thought defeating you would save creation."

The Devourer looked toward the distant stars.

AND I THOUGHT DESTROYING YOU WOULD FREE IT.

For several monts neither spoke.

Then both laughed.

The sound echoed across reality.

Not because anything was amusing.

Because both finally realized how wrong they had been.

---

Far away, the surviving Thrones worked alongside the Root.

The sight would have been unimaginable only weeks earlier.

Golden authority and silver branches intertwined across creation.

Broken dinsions were repaired.

Fractured realities were stabilized.

Collapsed worlds were restored.

Ancient enemies had beco reluctant allies.

The universe itself seed eager to heal.

---

The Architect stood alone.

Watching.

Thinking.

Yun approached slowly.

The older man already knew he was there.

"You've made your decision."

Yun frowned.

"What decision?"

The Architect smiled.

The expression carried genuine warmth for once.

"Whether you're aware of it yet or not."

Silence followed.

The Architect looked beyond creation.

Toward distant horizons invisible to everyone else.

"You aren't staying."

It wasn't a question.

Yun looked away.

Part of him wanted to deny it.

Part of him wanted to remain.

This universe had been his ho.

The place where he had grown.

Where he had struggled.

Where he had fought.

Where he had t allies.

Friends.

Enemies.

Yet deep down—

The answer was already clear.

The mories awakening within him grew stronger every day.

The convergence was changing.

The path before him stretched beyond creation itself.

He could feel it.

The Architect nodded.

"Good."

Yun looked at him.

The older man's expression beca serious.

"If you stayed here, you would eventually surpass everyone."

His gaze shifted toward the Shepherd.

The Devourer.

The Root.

Even the being beyond the Outside.

"Then you'd stagnate."

Yun understood imdiately.

Power without challenge eventually beca a prison.

---

The Warden appeared nearby.

The chains around its body moved softly through reality.

Unlike before, its presence no longer felt oppressive.

Only ancient.

The Warden looked toward the distant battlefield.

"The prison is stabilizing."

The Architect nodded.

"For now."

The Warden's expression darkened.

"For now."

Neither seed satisfied with the answer.

Yun noticed.

"What happens next?"

The two ancient beings exchanged a glance.

Then the Warden answered.

"The prison survives."

Its eyes shifted toward the fracture.

"The remaining prisoners remain sealed."

A pause.

"If we're fortunate."

The lack of certainty worried Yun.

The Warden noticed.

"There are battles that belong to this universe."

Its gaze softened.

"And there are battles that belong to you."

---

A sudden pulse spread through creation.

The convergence reacted instantly.

Silver roots expanded.

Black fractures erged.

The second heartbeat inside Yun's chest thundered.

BOOM.

Reality rippled.

The effect was imdiate.

Far beyond existence—

Sothing answered.

Yun froze.

The pulse had crossed unimaginable distances.

Beyond creation.

Beyond the Outside.

Beyond the prison.

Sowhere very far away—

Another force had felt it.

The Warden smiled knowingly.

"They found you."

Yun's heart sank.

"Who?"

The answer ca from behind him.

"The ones waiting."

The First Prisoner stood nearby.

For the first ti since erging, the ancient being looked almost respectful.

Almost.

"The Heir's signal has finally reached the higher worlds."

---

The phrase struck Yun imdiately.

Higher worlds.

Not dinsions.

Not universes.

Worlds.

Plural.

The Architect noticed his reaction.

Then laughed.

"You still think this universe is large."

Yun remained silent.

The Architect raised one hand.

A vision appeared before them.

Yun's eyes widened.

Creation.

The entire universe.

Everything he had ever known.

It floated like a glowing sphere.

Massive.

Infinite.

Beautiful.

Then the vision expanded.

And Yun stopped breathing.

Around his universe floated countless others.

Millions.

Billions.

Clusters beyond comprehension.

Entire oceans of universes connected through enormous currents of energy.

The scale shattered his understanding.

His ho universe—

The place he once believed was everything—

Was rely one among countless others.

The Architect wasn't finished.

The vision expanded again.

The cluster of universes beca tiny.

A single point within sothing larger.

A realm.

A domain.

A higher reality.

Yun's knees nearly buckled.

The Architect smiled.

"Now you understand."

---

The Warden looked toward the distant horizon.

"There is a place called the Eternal Vast."

The na itself seed to carry power.

"It exists above ordinary universes."

The First Prisoner nodded.

"Empires rule there."

The Architect continued.

"Cultivators who can create universes with a thought are considered ordinary."

The Shepherd added:

"So kingdoms are older than creation itself."

The Devourer laughed.

AND SO OF THEIR MONSTERS MAKE THE WORLD-EATER LOOK HARMLESS.

Yun stood speechless.

Everything he thought he knew about power suddenly felt insignificant.

The path ahead had beco unimaginably larger.

---

As the ancient beings continued speaking, none of them noticed a distant movent far beyond creation.

Far beyond the prison.

Far beyond the higher worlds.

A pair of golden eyes slowly opened.

Ancient.

Patient.

Watching.

The eyes focused upon Yun.

A faint smile appeared.

Then a voice echoed through the endless darkness.

"The Heir has awakened."

Silence followed.

Then countless other presences stirred.

And sowhere within the Eternal Vast universe

Preparations for Yun's arrival had already begun
