"By the way, have you t your Pap’s family?" Ling Li rembered and asked.
"Yeah. That girl, I sll trouble." Shi Min said with a knitted brow.
"What do you an?"
"Just have soone watch over her; she might hurt Lily." Shi Min stated.
"Lily?"
"Um." After Shi Min responded with a short nod, he stood up with his laptop and strode out of the study.
Ling Li could rely purse her lips when she saw Shi Min leaving without further telling her what had happened. Recalling what Shi Min said, ’Nina might hurt Lily.’
Ling Li picked up her phone and dialed a number.
"Mushu, co to my study."
Within a minute, Mushu arrived.
"Madam," Mushu called out to let his presence known.
"What happened this morning? Shi Min ntioned that Nina might hurt Lily. Why did he say that?" Ling Li demanded to know.
Mushu’s face turned dark after hearing Nina’s na.
"Madam, if you had asked , I would have never agreed to let you bring that brat here."
"Mushu, tell what happened." Ling Li insisted.
"Madam, when Master Chu Yan’s family arrived this morning, he was waiting for them in the living room. He sternly warned Nina, as did his parents, to avoid trouble here. Their parents said they won’t tolerate whatever misdeeds she would make again." Mushu told Ling Li.
"And then, continue."
"Then Fatty and Chatty ca down and perked Nina’s interest. This brat started smiling sweetly at the two gentlen. Soon after, Young Master Shi Min, Master Shun, and Miss Ren also ca, which excited this brat even more."
"And then, go on." Ling Li urges Mushu.
"After that, Young Miss Lily ca down with the twins. When she was coming down the stairs with Kim Kim in her arms, Fatty assisted her. We all could see the change on Nina’s soured face."
"Really."
"Madam, this brat is breathing fire," Mushu said flatly.
"Have soone oversee her round the clock under you." Ling Li ordered.
"Copy that."
"Dismiss," Ling Li said to Mushu. She could only rub her temple as she thought of Nina.
Ling Li could feel a headache thinking of Nina. It was Ren’s goodwill to send her here. She could only rub her temples.
Late in the afternoon, Ling Li is at the veranda waiting for Four Eyes family to arrive for their tea. It is their first ti eting each other.
"Madam, Mr. and Mrs. Xu are here with their daughter." Butler Peng announced.
"Please let them in."
"You must be Ling." Mrs. Xu greeted her with a warm smile.
"Yes, Mrs. Xu. I’m sorry I couldn’t welco you all this morning." Ling Li responded.
"I’m your father-in-law, and this is Nina."
"Hello, Father-in-law, Nina. Please have a seat." Ling Li politely acknowledged them.
"Ling, I hope you don’t mind us staying with you." Mr. Xu said with an apologetic tone.
"No, not at all. I hope you are comfortable in the house, and whatever you need, please inform any of us or the butler." Ling Li assured them.
"The house is more than comfortable; it is too much. We couldn’t get used to it." Mrs. Xu exclaid happily.
"Butler Peng, please call Ren and Lily to join us." Ling Li intructed.
"Nina, what do you plan for your studies?" Ling Li asked.
"I don’t plan to go back to study." Nina indifferently replied.
"You’ve been idle for a long ti. You have to think of doing sothing with your life." Her father reprimanded Nina instantly.
Just then, Ren and Lily arrived.
"Good afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Xu. Hi Nina." Ren and Lily greeted them all as they took their seats. Nina nodded while her parents gave the sisters big, warm smiles.
"You have beautiful children, Ling." Mrs. Xu said.
"Mother-in-law, Nina, and Chu Yan are both good-looking." Ling Li politely replied.
"Nina, what are your interests? Maybe we could find sothing to make you have fun while you’re here." Ling Li asked with great enthusiasm in her voice.
"I love to go shopping," Nina said flatly.
"You stupid brat! You need to earn a living and earn your own money to go shopping!" Mr. Xu yelled at Nina.
Nina looked at Ren and Lily as if insinuating sothing. In her mind, Ling Li is very wealthy and with her brother. Nina thinks she, too, has to enjoy the perks. What Ren and Lily have, she should have, too.
"Nina, Ren, and Lily have to earn money to shop. Now that she has finished school, Ren works and runs her own business.
Lily, while school is ongoing, she gets a monthly allowance. Besides that, she is a gymnast and a dancer and joins competitions. So competitions earn money, while others are for prestige only. During vacation, Lily also has to work in our business to train where she gets paid. All the three children have to undergo such training, no one can be idle in the family." Ling Li explained.
"If you return to school, we will also provide you with allowances. But you will only get free als and accommodation at ho if you remain idle." Ling Li added.
Nina snorted.
"Nina, I encouraged Mom to bring you here," Ren said cheerily. "Do you like to sing or dance? Or draw, perhaps?
"She can dance well." Mrs. Xu replied on Nina’s behalf.
"Nina, Russia is well known for ballet. You can enroll in the dance studio if you don’t want to return to school." Ren suggested.
"You can go to the dance studio, or we can arrange a private trainer. You can decide." Ren added.
Ren knows nothing about Nina’s past or current situation; "Lily can even teach you. She is a professional ballerina at a very young age." Ren happily volunteers for her sister.
"I’m sure Nina will do great on her own if she decides to do it." Ling Li imdiately interrupted Ren. "Otherwise, she can start an English lesson first, which is very important now; if she goes out, it will be hard for her to communicate."
"I agree." Mr. Xu replied with an unhappy look. He is very displeased with his daughter.
Ling Li looked at the ti on her watch. "It is still early. Why don’t we go around and do so shopping together?"
"Mom, my class is about to start in half an hour," Lily said with pouty lips.
