After a while, Kelly made his way to the dining hall where dinner was already in progress. Taking a seat next to Sumire, he engaged in conversation while the others around them paid them no mind.
Once dinner concluded, Sir William and the pope entered the hall, both wearing smiles that seed to light up the room. Making a beeline for Agawa’s seat, they positioned themselves in front of the assembled crowd.
"Dungeon huh," Kelly murmured, gazing at the night sky from the balcony of his room. The events of the dinner replayed in his mind, as the pope had revealed that their training phase was now complete, and it was ti for them to gain practical experience by venturing into a dungeon.
’I really am in a different world sotis it’s hard to believe that but now looking at four different moons in the sky it’s hard to deny reality. Everything is so different be it be people, customs, seasons, months, weeks and even days are longer.’
"hahh"
’These days I am sighing a lot, Can I do it! Would I be able to kill beast for my power, Do I have to one day kill humans! Am I prepared for that no who am I kidding ever since I ca here, I knew one day I had to do this, and tomorrow’s practical experience Is just a ruse the real goal is to make us comfortable with killing.’
"hahh"
Looking at his slightly trembling hands kelly sighed yet again.
’I have to be strong; I am pretty sure tomorrow Is going to be a field day for my classmates and for those like Sumire it’ll be a good sign if they don’t break down, right! Sumire, I have to be strong for her too, she is going to need more than ever.’
"Okay! Enough! ti to sleep now...no need to overthink and complicate everything...we will tomorrow."
Slapping his cheeks kelly went to bed.
"Hahh hahh hahh fuck! Fuck fuck"
Gasping for breath, Kelly kept on muttering as he looked at his hands which were stained with blood. His mind swirled with panic and desperation. "Fuck! Fuck!" he exclaid; his voice filled with frustration.
Realizing that he needed to regain control, Kelly fought to steady his breathing. "I can’t breathe," he muttered, his voice strained. In a daze, he struggled to calm his racing heart and bring his panic under control.
’Fuck!’
As kelly looked into his blood satin hands again, he couldn’t stop himself but curse aloud In A daze, he was hyperventilating and panicking.
I need to distract myself, Kelly thought, desperately searching for sothing to shift his focus. He glanced around his surroundings, hoping to find a source of solace amidst the chaos.
"I I can’t take it anymore ugahhh"
"I want to go ho Ahhh"
"Damn! It’s so much fun"
"Good! Co at hehehe let kill you all"
’Hell! It’s pandemonium here, Ok calm down it’s just the first floor of dungeon darn it.’
Kelly and his classmates found themselves thrust into their first real battle outside a mid-grade dungeon designed specifically for beginners like them. The intensity of the fight was already taking a toll on everyone involved, both physically and emotionally and worst of all they were not even fully inside the dungeon yet.
So of Kelly’s classmates couldn’t handle the brutal reality before them, collapsing into tears and assuming fetal positions, overwheld by the horrors they were witnessing. Others, driven by a primal instinct, mindlessly engaged in acts of slaughter, their minds clouded by the frenzy of combat. A few succumbed to the overwhelming stress, their bodies unable to withstand the pressure, leading to vomiting and unconsciousness.
Amidst the chaos, there were those who seed to revel in the midst of this slaughter, finding an exhilarating joy in the adrenaline-fueled violence unfolding around them. The stark contrast between those who were deeply affected and those who seed unaffected created a dissonant atmosphere, further adding to the surreal nature of the situation.
’Everyone is out of formation Thank God it’s just so weak beast and we have knights protecting us or...’
In an attempt to distract himself, Kelly began to observe his surroundings, hoping to divert his attention from the overwhelming chaos. However, his thoughts were abruptly interrupted by a weak and stuttering voice that reached his ears.
"K-Kelly-kun," the voice called out.
Kelly turned his gaze to find Sumire, her expression distant and unfocused. Concerned, he gently placed his hands on her shoulders and spoke in a calm voice, masking the turmoil within him.
"Sumire, look at . Everything is going to be fine, okay? You’re safe, it’s okay," Kelly reassured her, pulling her into a comforting hug. He lost track of ti as he held her, offering support amidst the turmoil surrounding them.
The only reason kelly was able to do that was because of their long proximity from the battel and the nearby knights guarding them.
Suddenly, a voice filled with authority and dignity echoed through the chaos, commanding attention and silencing the commotion that had consud the dungeon.
"Enough!" The commanding voice of Captain William echoed through the dungeon, cutting through the chaos and bringing a montary stillness to the scene. "You all did a comndable job. It’s ti to call it a day. Follow the soldiers, and they will guide you to your tents. You can choose to have your own tent or share it with soone. Rest your minds tonight; we will resu tomorrow."
