Now reading: Chapter 59 59: The Confrontation(200 Power stone) from Taboo Pokémon Trainer: The Pure White Ralts and the MILF Harem [R18], a Mature novel by puq.

Elena found it completely unbelievable. She absolutely refused to believe that Lorze had seriously studied the energy composition of Moon Stones, mostly because his family simply didn't have the scientific resources for such high-level research.

Furthermore, Lorze himself had said he "didn't even need to research it," which was basically an admission that his claims had zero data to back them up.

So where the hell did he get the balls?

How did he dare to flaunt his intellect in front of a professional like her, and with such absolute certainty that he was right?

Is there really soone in this world arrogant enough to confront a career scientist with nothing but a "head-canon" conclusion?

Yet, Elena found herself completely shut down by him, montarily speechless. Because his "randomly" derived conclusion was identical to the results she had spent years of grueling labor to uncover. What could she even say?

Now, Elena had no choice but to take Lorze's perspective seriously. Perhaps his words lacked data support, but they were undeniably the product of a brilliant mind.

Looking back at his proposed evolution thod for Umbreon... perhaps it really did have the value of a deep-dive discussion?

Elena imdiately adopted the rigorous attitude of a researcher and began debating with him: "I'm curious. Since you haven't conducted formal research, how did you conclude that Moon Stones contain three primary energies?"

Lorze couldn't exactly answer that question honestly. He couldn't just say he deduced it from a video ga back on Earth, right?

So, he did what he did best—he started bullshitting: "It was a bit of a coincidence, really. I was out one night and saw a Clefairy sitting on a rock, bathing in the moonlight. It made think of that old legend about the species..."

Elena: "That legend, huh? I recall it. Sothing about Clefairy originating from the moon and bringing Moon Stones down to Earth with them. However, it's already been proven that Moon Stones are ford by condensing lunar essence; you don't actually have to go to the moon to mine them."

Lorze: "That's true. But if such a legend survived for generations, it must have a basis in reality. Isn't the rapid developnt of Pokemon Science on Earth largely due to the ancient records and myths unearthed from the Secret Realms?"

Elena: "I see your point. So, you believe the reason Clefairy are drawn to moonlight is specifically because of that mysterious third energy component?"

Lorze: "You could say that."

Elena: "But Clefairy is a Normal-type Pokemon, and moonlight doesn't contain Normal-type energy. We haven't detected anything related to the Normal-type inside Moon Stones either. I'm afraid your guess is off the mark."

Elena shook her head inwardly. So Lorze's "discovery" of the third energy was just based on a lucky coincidence?

She thought he had so unique, groundbreaking insight, but it turned out to be just a wild, baseless theory?

She had gotten her hopes up for nothing.

But then again, it made sense. Professionals with high-end sensors couldn't even crack this; for a boy to guess this far based on a Clefairy's behavior was already impressive. It proved he had an academic brain, just no formal training. She was being too hard on him.

If soone could really analyze the spectral components of a Moon Stone without any equipnt, or even without owning a Moon Stone, she'd be terrified. That wouldn't be a human being; that would be a monster.

There's no way such a person exists... right?

Elena was firmly convinced of this until Lorze suddenly dropped another bomb...

Lorze: "Huh? I never said the third energy was Normal-type. My Ralts bathes in the moonlight occasionally; does that an it's Psychic-type energy?"

Elena: "?"

Elena quickly replayed his voice ssage. She realized he indeed had never claid the third energy was related to the Normal-type.

So she had misunderstood him again?

Elena imdiately pressed further: "Then tell , what is your view on this third energy?"

Lorze shrugged and replied: "I believe this third energy has nothing to do with the 17 known types. It might be a fundantal energy of all things, like Life Energy. Or perhaps... it's a new type of energy that hasn't found its 'resonance' yet because Earth's current environnt isn't a perfect match for it."

Elena: "..."

Elena really wanted to roll her eyes at him. How did he manage to say so much yet reveal absolutely nothing at the sa ti?

Was this just a sophisticated way of being evasive?

But to say his words had zero academic value would be a lie. At the very least, his claim that it was unrelated to the 17 existing types matched the lab's findings perfectly.

If she had to summarize their current experintal results, they were basically exactly what Lorze had just described.

Did this an Lorze's "guesses" had already caught up to the research progress they had spent millions of dollars to achieve?

The boy had reached her level without a single lab tool. What right did she have to roll her eyes?

Was she going to demand he identify the exact atomic structure of the energy out of thin air?

If she did, what did that make her and her team of well-funded scientists?

A bunch of expensive, resource-wasting losers?

Forget it, forget it. She'd stop for now. She was actually getting a little afraid that Lorze might actually be able to na the energy.

"Let's just get back to the details of the Umbreon evolution..." she typed.

What Elena didn't know was that Lorze actually did know exactly what that third energy was.

One of the ultimate Fairy-type moves was literally called 'Moonblast'—it was a giant signpost screaming that the third energy in moonlight was Fairy energy.

However, since the Fairy-type hadn't fully "re-awakened" on this planet yet, Lorze felt announcing the 18th type would be too much of a shock. He had no intention of telling Elena just yet.

Besides, he wanted to be the sole discoverer of the Fairy-type. Why would he share that goldmine with anyone else?

Elena let out a virtual sigh: "Fine. Back to Umbreon. So you're saying the reason Eevee can't evolve with a Moon Stone is that the energies inside the stone are too tightly fused, and Eevee can't extract the specific part it needs?"

She had taken the initiative to change the subject.

Lorze nodded: "Exactly. That's why I believe natural moonlight provides a much 'cleaner' absorption condition than a refined stone."

Elena countered with confusion: "But... if we can't even extract the component from a stone sitting right in front of us, how is an Eevee supposed to absorb energy from ethereal, intangible moonlight?"

Lorze: "Is it possible that Pokemon are just different from humans? Things we find impossible are as simple as breathing for them?"

Elena: "..."

Holy shit... that makes too much sense. She was genuinely at a loss for words!

Yes, for a Pokemon, absorbing energy was a basic biological function.

The "difficult" Moon Stone was likely the anomaly, not the moonlight itself.

She had spent so much ti over-complicating the logic that she had missed the most obvious truth.

Pokemon were, by their very nature, illogical creatures.

"I stand corrected. That was a clumsy oversight on my part."

Elena actually felt a twinge of sha. A career researcher making such a rookie mistake—she was making a fool of herself.
