September 1st. Lorze officially began his senior year of high school.
Unlike the oppressive, soul-crushing senior year of his past life, students here actually looked forward to it.
Being a senior ant you could legally own a Pokémon, and the curriculum changed entirely.
It was similar to a Japanese high school: the day was split into morning and afternoon sessions.
Classes started at 9 AM, focusing on traditional academic subjects.
Lunch was eaten at school, followed by a brief break.
Before 3 PM, the focus was on Pokémon Theory. After 3 PM, it was Pokémon Practice.
Students who didn't plan on being Trainers or Breeders could go ho at 3 PM.
However, those with aspirations in either field stayed late to join clubs, learn battle tactics, and study breeding basics.
In reality, almost no one went ho early.
Even those who couldn't afford a Pokémon would bust their ass to beco Breeders.
The school provided "Beginner Pokémon" for students to interact with, which was a massive draw for those from poorer families.
Lorze was naturally excited about the high school experience.
Back when he was a junior, he didn't have the right to own a Pokémon.
He had to watch the seniors flexing their partners, even using them to pick up the freshwon. It was pathetic!
But now, it was finally Lorze's turn to "pick up"... ahem, it was his turn to have his own partner.
He didn't have to take shit from anyone anymore!
Furthermore, Lorze was now a literal celebrity in his class.
The news of his dominance in the Torchic Challenger Tournant had spread like wildfire.
The fact that he owned a "Pure White Ralts" was enough to drive his male classmates into a frenzy.
To this day, people were still @-ing him in the group chat, demanding he let them see her in person.
They spent all day debating her gender.
They refused to believe a gorgeous, humanoid Pokémon would choose soone as "corrupt" and "horny" as Lorze.

It was easy to predict that once Lorze arrived at class, he'd be mobbed by guys demanding he hand over Ralts so they could "pet" her.

The "Pure White Ralts" was simply too rare.
If it were any other Pokémon, even if Lorze won a major championship, only his close friends would care.

Even if they couldn't have her, they just wanted to be near her~.

Fortunately, Lorze's timing was perfect.
Before the boys could pounce, the horoom teacher stepped in right behind him.
The sight of a teacher standing behind Lorze's back acted like a bucket of cold water.

For a high schooler, the pressure from a horoom teacher was still absolute.
"Lorze, get to your seat. Class is starting," the teacher said. She was a middle-aged woman, known for being strictly professional.
However, even she couldn't help but steal a few extra glances at Lorze today.
She never expected the "invisible" student in her class to explode onto the scene with such terrifying power.
The Principal had already told her to "take extra care" of him—which was code for giving him special privileges.
She hadn't realized that besides having a "Young Miss" (Xue Yi) in her class, she also had a hidden genius.
It looked like her class was a shoo-in for the "Top Class of the Year" title.
"Yes, Teacher Liu." Lorze shot a smug smirk at so of the boys he knew well.
He sauntered to his seat while they glared at him with murder in their eyes.
His seat was right next to Xue Yi.
However, she didn't greet him at all today.
Instead, she turned her head away, making it clear she didn't want to be associated with him at school.
She didn't want people getting the wrong idea.
After all, this guy was currently "Public Enemy Number One" in the class; she didn't want to catch any of that heat.
Xue Yi didn't greet him, but the Eevee in her lap did.
The little fox waved its paw at Lorze, letting out a cute "Vui~ Vui~" chirp.
Lorze reached out and rubbed its head, pulling a Dark-type Berry from his bag as a gift.
Eevee imdiately grabbed the berry and began munching happily, clearly not seeing him as a stranger.
This scene was incredibly suspicious to everyone else.
Anyone with eyes could see that Eevee and Lorze were very well-acquainted.
Could they be this friendly if they didn't already spend a lot of ti together?
You have to realize, before Lorze arrived, Xue Yi's Eevee had already beco the classroom star.
The girls had been fighting over who got to hold and pet the cute creature.
But Eevee had acted like a typical pet with them—it allowed the petting, but it didn't interact or initiate anything.
Yet here it was, greeting a guy and accepting food from him. This scread "we've known each other for a long ti."
If the Eevee was this close to Lorze, there was no logical reason Xue Yi wouldn't be close to him too.
So why was she turning her head away and avoiding him so pointedly?
Normally, you don't go out of your way to hide from soone.
Especially when your own Pokémon is that friendly with them.
The more she tried to hide it, the more it looked like they had "sothing" going on.
It looked exactly like a couple having a lover's spat.
And don't even try to say they aren't close. How the hell did Lorze know Eevee liked Dark-type Berries?
If mory served, Xue Yi had ntioned in the group chat that she was going for a Glaceon evolution, right?
Logically, she should be feeding it Ice-type Berries.
Even as a second choice, she should go for Normal-type. Why Dark-type?
Eating the wrong type of berry can cause internal energy conflicts, doing more harm than good.
This was basic knowledge that even a primary schooler knew. Did Xue Yi not know?
Yet did she stop him from feeding her Pokémon?
Not at all!
This proved their relationship was so deep they knew each other's Pokémon's specific dietary tastes!

Xue Yi finally snapped, swearing under her breath.
But Lorze didn't care at all. He shrugged and sat down next to her.
He propped his chin on his hand and stared at her with a knowing, playful smirk.
His eyes were incredibly suggestive, which only fueled the class's suspicions further.
Xue Yi couldn't wrap her head around what the bastard was trying to achieve.
Did he actually want to date her?

Are you really that much of a slut? You just like whoever is next to you?

But what Xue Yi didn't know was that Lorze was being ambiguous with her on purpose.
He wanted everyone to suspect they were together.
The reason was simple: while the boys were focused on Ralts, the girls in class had been hounding him relentlessly lately.
They all suddenly acted like they were his best friends, just like Xue Yi had when she was hunting for the Umbreon intel.
He'd get a "You there?" during the day.
And a "Goodnight~" before bed.
The sheer level of proactiveness was making Lorze uncomfortable.
Stop it. Just go back to ignoring like you used to. It's not worth the effort.
While Lorze personally enjoyed being surrounded by beautiful girls, having them spam his ssages all day was becoming a chore.
He could handle one or two, but even the ones who weren't his type were being "passionate" in his private ssages. Replying was a total pain.
To solve this problem in one go, Xue Yi, you'll just have to suffer and pretend to be my girlfriend~.
