He only needed to provide Telepathic Resonance for Ralts to boost her perception, so he could spend the entire day wallowing in Xue Tong's "gentle trap"~.

This, however, made Xue Tong feel a strange sense of loss when he left; wasn't it fine to just keep resting on her lap?
Suddenly missing the person rubbing against her thighs, she felt inexplicably out of sorts.

With this mindset, Xue Tong couldn't help but keep her eyes fixed on Lorze.
For the next while, although she appeared to be reading and drinking tea, her eyes frequently drifted to Lorze, sotis for quite a long ti.
She noticed that after Lorze left her lap, he didn't go to guide Ralts's move training, as there really wasn't anything for him to do there.
Lorze was currently rummaging through the pile of supplies delivered to the lab; it took him a while to find the seven most important ga Stones.
But just as the inventory showed, none of them belonged to Gardevoir, so he put them away after playing with them for a bit.
He could only hope his second Pokémon could use one of them.
Then he pulled out a top-grade Moon Stone, which he had requested under the guise of researching the "third energy."
In reality, he just wanted Ralts to familiarize herself with Fairy energy; since he was sure the third energy was Fairy, sensing the Moon Stone would let her recognize its "scent."
Next, if he could find berries with a similar energy signature, wouldn't he discover Fairy-type berries?
But Ralts was busy with Gardevoir, so he didn't want to interrupt, deciding to start the search for Fairy berries himself.
Now that Lorze's ntal energy was highly fused with Ralts's, he could partially sense what she sensed, including elental energy that only Pokémon should detect.
For example, when he held a Psychic-type berry, he could feel a massive amount of Psychic energy within it.
But he could only sense it; he couldn't manipulate it, so he couldn't use telekinesis himself.
However, this ability was enough to find hidden Fairy energy in berries, though since the type hadn't re-awakened, there wasn't enough energy in the air to produce pure Fairy berries yet.
Current Fairy berries were likely like Moon Stones—a ssy mix of types. To sense the Fairy component, just holding them wasn't enough; he had to use his mouth!
But this created another problem: Pokémon taste buds are totally different from humans; so Pokémon find bitter tastes delicious. If a human eats them, well...
It's like biting into a raw, rotten bitter lon!
Lorze's luck was shit; his first bite was a horribly bitter berry that made tears well up in his eyes; it was unspeakably foul, likely dominated by Grass or Bug energy.
This berry didn't have any energy similar to the Moon Stone, likely just a useless wild fruit, so he tossed it aside.
Then he picked up a second berry; scarred by the previous one, he hesitated a long ti before biting.
Luckily it wasn't bitter, but the flavor was extrely bizarre, and it still lacked Fairy energy, so he skipped it.
The third and fourth were bearable, but the fifth one was the "jackpot"—a sudden wave of bitterness and a faint stench of rot filled his mouth, nearly making him vomit.
This piece of shit was mixed with Poison-type energy!
Fortunately, Poison energy isn't actual physical toxin, otherwise Lorze would have needed to be rushed to the Pokémon Center after that bite.
Just in case, Lorze had prepared Antidotes beforehand, so it wasn't a huge deal.
Next ti, he should have Ralts trace Poison Heal first...
Even ignoring the poisoning, the disgusting taste was psychological torture; he'd only tried five, and he was already on the verge of puking, yet there were five massive crates left.
Did he really think his taste buds would survive this?

Based on the energy-mixing logic of Moon Stones, if Fairy berries were mixed with other types, Dark and Ghost would have the highest priority; he should start with those.
Ralts was already very familiar with the scent of Dark energy, as it was one of her least favorite scents.
So he just needed to find the berry with the strongest scent Ralts hated and eat that one first.
Believe it or not, Lorze actually found a berry where he could sense the Dark energy right through the skin, so he took a bite as a test, but the result...
He suddenly realized sothing critical.
He didn't know if Dark energy was a priority for Fairy energy.
But within Dark-type berries, the priority for Poison-type was much higher than Fairy-type!!!
With that bite, Lorze's face turned literal blue.

Lorze's mouth was filled with a foul, acrid stench and bitterness, making him sprint into the bathroom to aggressively rinse his mouth!

"I don't want to, but if I don't taste them myself, how am I supposed to know their energy composition?" Lorze replied with a bitter smile.
"So you just want to know the energy components?"
"Obviously. Do you think I'm eating them for the flavor?"
"Then why the hell aren't you using the detection equipnt over there?"
"Wait... there's equipnt for that?"
"Of course there is."
