Now reading: Chapter 356 Where is my Aunt? from Tale of a Hedonistic wizard, a Action novel by Luciferjl.

The revelation that his aunt wasn't there hit Jaegar like a physical blow. Then where was she? Questions nagged him, and the uncertainty about his aunt crept up in his mind. From the mont he arrived, the won of the spire did nothing but scorn him.

He had been patient, to learn about his aunt and to see her. But now they are saying she wasn't. Pierre was sure that his aunt was under his master's care; then why would she let them send her away when she knew how much she ant to Jaegar?

Sothing was way off, and he wanted to et his master.

An explosive aura blasted from him, the force of it causing the guard won to stumble backward.

Jaegar closed his eyes, enhancing his magical senses in a desperate attempt to locate Angelina within the Spire's walls. But no matter how hard he searched, he couldn't find a trace of her presence.

The realization that his aunt truly wasn't there caused Jaegar's temper to flare even hotter.

Where had they sent her? What right did they have to make such a decision? The questions whirled through his mind, each one stoking the flas of his anger.

"Where is she now?" Jaegar demanded, his voice low and dangerous.

It was then that Keeling said sothing that she would co to regret.

Perhaps it was the stress of the situation, or perhaps she truly didn't understand the depths of Jaegar's power and the precariousness of her position. Whatever the reason, the words left her mouth before she could consider their impact.

"How would I know?" Keeling scoffed, her earlier caution seemingly abandoned. "We don't have ti to care about so petty novice."

Explore more adventures at empire

The mont the words left her lips, the atmosphere at the entrance shifted dramatically.

The air grew heavy, charged with an oppressive arcane energy that seed to press down on everyone present. The guard won, who had been poised to intervene, found themselves struggling to remain standing under the weight of Jaegar's unleashed power.

Jaegar's eyes blazed with an inner fire, his aura now visible to even the most magically inept observer. It swirled around him in chaotic patterns, a maelstrom of raw, uncontrolled power that spoke of the turmoil within.

Keeling, in her ignorance or perhaps her arrogance, had overlooked a crucial fact. While Jaegar's outward appearance might have suggested the power level of a re apprentice, the reality was far different. The energy radiating from him now was far beyond what any apprentice should have been capable of wielding.

The last ti she saw him when he ca to the spire, she didn't think much of him nor that she had any interest in him. She had t him briefly at that ti on the orders of Lady Angelina. But she did wonder, How did Jaegar beco a disciple of Lady Angelina?

Compared to his past self, there was a drastic change in his deanor, and the level of arcane power he emitted could rival her own or surpass her. She didn't actually know.

As the realization of her mistake dawned on Keeling, her face paled visibly. The confidence that had buoyed her throughout their confrontation evaporated in an instant, replaced by a growing sense of dread.

Jaegar took a step forward, the ground beneath his feet cracking further with each movent.

His voice, when he spoke, was eerily calm, a stark contrast to the chaos of his aura. "You sent her away," he stated, each word carefully enunciated. "Without consideration. Without care."

Another step, and the large gate began to tremble. Dust rained down from the walls, the ancient stones groaning under the pressure of Jaegar's unleashed power.

"You dismissed her as a 'petty novice,'" Jaegar continued, his eyes never leaving Keeling's face.

"You, who claim to represent the magical community, cast aside her without a second thought."

The guard won, unable to withstand the oppressive magical energy any longer, fell to their knees.

Keeling alone remained standing, though her legs trembled with the effort. She couldn't believe her eyes or her senses. She was at master level, one of the powerful witches of the spire, but in front of him, she felt less, and she was barely managing herself under his pressure.

"And now," Jaegar said, his voice dropping to a whisper that sohow carried over the rumbling of the stones around them, "you can't even tell where she is."

The air around Jaegar began to distort, reality itself seeming to bend under the weight of his power. Keeling's eyes widened in horror as she finally understood the depths of her miscalculation.

"I will ask you one more ti," Jaegar said, his voice now echoing with a power that seed to co from everywhere and nowhere at once. "Where. Is. My. Aunt?"

Keeling held her staff; she quickly chanted an incantation. And then, she regained her composure, and so did the won behind her. Now they were all able to stand their ground, breathing heavily.

Evanore Keeling was a witch who could buff ten mbers at a ti. Her magic had the ability to strengthen and protect those around her. Her pride as a witch of the Spire didn't let her back down without a fight. And Jaegar had already committed the grave sin of showing his hostility right before the entrance of the spire towards a prominent mber of the Witch Spire.

Evanore Keeling, unwilling to back down, especially in front of soone she considered a re apprentice, tightened her grip on her staff. Her voice rang out, sharp and commanding, as she ordered the won guards to step aside.

"Mr. Ambrose," Keeling said, her tone dripping with condescension, "do you know what you are doing?"

The question hung in the air, a challenge wrapped in false concern.

Keeling stood tall, her posture radiating confidence born from years of wielding power within the Spire. As a high witch, her magical prowess had reached the level of a master, a fact she clung to like a shield in the face of Jaegar's unexpected display of power.
