The path was finally cleared, and the true sight beneath the steps ca into full view. What was once hidden was now revealed—a massive, complex arrangent of circular patterns, intricately designed with symbols that seed both ancient and unknowable.

The pattern spiralled outward, resembling squares upon squares, layered like the gears of so cosmic clock. At its centre lay an enormous temple-like structure, not standing above ground but carved directly into the earth itself, as though it had been etched there by divine hands.

The temple was imposing, with columns that rose from the depths of the ground, spiralling upwards, adorned with unfamiliar runes and markings that glistened faintly, almost as if alive with latent power.

Suddenly, the ground trembled. The massive lava beam, still roaring downward from the sky, connected with the temple's heart like a spear from the heavens. The mont the molten energy made contact, the impact was nothing short of cataclysmic.

BOOOOMM!!

The air itself seed to split as the force of the explosion ripped through the place. A shockwave expanded outward, shaking the earth violently. The intricate symbols and squares lit up with an eerie red glow, pulsing as though they had been awakened from an ancient slumber.

High witches acted switly, shielding the young apprentices and the girls who ca for the trials.

The temperature rose dramatically, heat waves distorting the air around the beam. Stone cracked, and massive chunks of the earth splintered away, revealing deep crevices and fissures that extended in every direction.

Just as suddenly as it had started, the lava beam vanished. The sky, which had been alight with the crimson fury of the molten energy, dimd once more, returning to its previous stillness.

A heartbeat later, the beam itself dissipated, leaving behind nothing but a scorched patch of earth and a chorus of bewildered onlookers.

For a mont, silence reigned.

Then, as if a dam had burst, chaos erupted.

Students began shouting and pointing at the spot where Jaegar had stood just monts ago.

Guards rushed forward, scanning the area for any trace of the young wizard. The council mbers huddled together, their faces a mixture of disbelief.

Then, the high witches of the tower, swiftly, took control of the situation.

Yasmine, along with the rest of the witches, now stood at the edge of a freshly ford pit.

Evanore approached them and bowed, "I apologise; I couldn't detain the young man. He was too powerful."

Yasmine ignored her words; she was deeply focused on the spot where the pit had been ford.

One of the council witches, nad Alani, said, "What just happened?"

Yasmine, with a serene tone, explained, "I think that boy just found the way into the labyrinth."

There was a collective gasp from all the won present before Yasmine.

"Labyrinth? Isn't that a myth written by our ancestors?"

Everyone of them had the sa thought. There was a tale, that they believed happened long ago. A tale when the gods walked the land.

In the ancient tis, long before mortals built their cities and empires, the world was ruled by forces beyond comprehension.

The goddess Eomoriel, a being of imnse power, was known as the Keeper of the Elents.

Her domain stretched from the highest peaks to the deepest caverns, and she wielded the elents like a master painter with a brush.

At that ti, an evil entity rose from the depths of the world. This being sought to plunge the world, and with its evil intentions, the being sought the humans and started to corrupt them, making them turn against the goddess.

Eomoriel knew she had to confront him, and she did. Amnohdet was the place where they both fought, and it was said to be the most lasting battle.

In the end, Eomoriel prevailed, but at great cost. The goddess was gravely injured; her divine essence nearly extinguished. After the battle was over, it was said that a black fla erged at the spot where the goddess fell. The black fla, a very ferocious fla that could last for an eternity.

Right after the fla appeared on the mortal grounds, Goddess, couldn't take the fla back with her.

Eomoriel knew that as long as the fla remained in the world, others—mortals, gods, and darker entities—would seek its power. Weakened but resolute, she made a decision to hide the fla away from all who would dare approach it.

With her last vestiges of strength, Eomoriel created a labyrinth around the fla, guarding it against whoever tried to claim it.

The labyrinth was no ordinary maze. Its walls were forged from obsidian rock, infused with traces of the Black Fla itself, making them nearly indestructible. The paths twisted and turned in ways that defied the laws of space and ti, leading intruders in endless circles.

The corridors were filled with illusions—false flas that burnt the soul, shadows that whispered madness, and creatures conjured from the nightmares of those who entered. Each step deeper into the labyrinth drained the life force of anyone foolish enough to try and claim its hidden treasure.

At the centre of the labyrinth, was the Black Fla.

As the years passed, people started to speculate, and create tales of the goddess. And there was a lot of word spread—that the goddess had left behind a temple for them to worship. People didn't exactly know what was inside the labyrinth, and they were so focused on the goddess that they overlooked what was inside.

But not all of them were sane; so of the odd n, dared to venture deep into the labyrinth and never returned; those who returned spurned another myth.

And it was,

Only those who were deed worthy by the fla itself could ever hope to reach its core. For centuries, this spell remained unbroken, and the labyrinth fell into legend, known only to a few as the Labyrinth of the Black Fla.

The legend told of a great prophecy: Whoever could claim the Black Fla would be destined for the heavens, ascending beyond the mortal plane to beco an eternal being.
