A sudden boom echoed as he vanished.

Galisk's eyes barely had ti to widen before Alister reappeared inches from him, his fist coated in crackling lightning. The punch struck like a giant hamr, the impact sending golden sparks flying as Galisk was forced back.

But Alister didn't stop.

With another burst of speed, he twisted, wind howling around him as he delivered a spinning kick. The sheer force tore through the wasteland, sending a shockwave that split the cracked ground even further.

Galisk blocked with a forearm coated in golden ether, but the force still sent him skidding backward through the air.

"You're getting faster," Galisk admitted with a grin. "But speed alone isn't enough!"

He flicked his wrist, and the golden chains shot forward, aiming to ensnare Alister.

Alister let out a pulse of wind exploding from beneath his feet.

He launched himself upward at an angle, narrowly avoiding the chains as they tore through the spot where he had just been standing.

Lightning crackled through his arms as he spun mid-air, gathering a surge of energy before releasing a devastating downward punch.

The sky split open.

A massive bolt of lightning roared down, colliding with Alister's fist just as it t Galisk's outstretched palm.

The explosion sent out an ear-splitting crack, golden lighting cracking violently. The sheer force blasted both combatants apart, forcing them to regain their footing in mid-air.

Miyu was practically bouncing with excitent on the sidelines. "That was insane! The way Alister used wind pressure to dodge and then gathered lightning for the final strike—ahh! So cool!"

Cinder let out a small chuckle. "Looks like he's finally letting loose."

Galisk exhaled, shaking out his arm where Alister's last hit had landed. "Alright, I have to admit I didn't know you were this strong."

He then flicked his hand.

The golden gates pulsed violently.

Dozens of radiant weapons erged—not just swords, but spears, axes, and even halberds, each shimring with divine power. With a flick of his fingers, they all shot forward like teors.

Alister's body tensed before his entire body beca a blur.

Wind exploded beneath his feet, launching him forward with breakneck speed. As the first weapon approached, he twisted mid-air, weaving between them effortlessly. Lightning crackled across his body, every motion sending arcs of electricity that shattered so weapons mid-flight.

Then, with a roar, he raised his arm, ether surging wildly.

A sudden burst of wind erupted outward, forming a violent vortex around him. The remaining weapons were caught in the raging storm, spun around chaotically before being hurled in random directions.

Alister shot through the dissipating storm like a golden bolt of lightning.

Galisk barely had ti to summon another weapon before Alister crashed into him, driving a knee into his ribs with explosive force. The impact sent Galisk hurtling downward, slamming into the wasteland below with enough power to create a massive crater.

Dust and debris shot into the air.

Alister hovered above, breathing heavily but exhilarated. "So, what do you think, old man?"

A deep chuckle echoed from the crater.

Galisk pushed himself up from the crater, dusting off his suite. His eyes glead with pride as he t Alister's gaze.

"Truly impressive," he admitted, rolling his shoulders. "I wasn't expecting that last strike. You're really sothing else my boy."

Before Alister could respond, a loud growl echoed through the battlefield.

Both Galisk and Miyu blinked.

Alister sighed, placing a hand over his stomach. "Why don't we call it a close here?" he said, exasperated. "I haven't eaten all day, and using my strength takes a lot of energy."

Galisk let out a hearty laugh. "Ahh, you're definitely your mother's son," he said, shaking his head. "She used to eat like a glutton too—sotis literally. I've seen her devour mountains of food after a tough battle."

Alister crossed his arms, muttering, "That actually explains a lot…"

Before anyone could respond, Miyu threw her arms up, yelling, "Wait, wait, wait! Are you two done already?! I'd like to spar too!"

Galisk turned to her, his smirk widening. "Oh? You wanna try your luck, little star?" His golden eyes glead with amusent as he cracked his knuckles. "I won't make it easy for you."

Miyu grinned, stepping forward eagerly. "I wouldn't want you to!"

As Miyu charged in with eager determination, Alister exhaled and turned away from the battlefield, walking toward Cinder. The wind from their clash still howled across the wasteland, but his attention had shifted.

Cinder stood with her arms crossed, watching with mild amusent as Galisk t Miyu's attack. As Alister approached, she glanced at him, already expecting the question.

"So," Alister started, his tone casual, but his eyes sharp. "What was Mar'Garet up to?"

Cinder let out a long sigh, rubbing her temples. "She was attacking Anya," she admitted. "Nearly killed her."

Alister froze.

His entire body tensed, and in an instant, his golden aura flared wildly, crackling like a storm ready to be unleashed. The sheer pressure of his energy sent a pulse across the battlefield, causing Galisk and Miyu to montarily pause mid-fight, both casting quick glances in his direction.

Cinder didn't flinch.

Instead, she reached out and grabbed his hand, grounding him. "Relax," she said firmly. "She's alright. I stepped in and had Little Tree heal her." Her grip tightened slightly. "Don't bla her too much, Alister. She was sad. She let her emotions take control."

Alister's jaw clenched. The anger still simred beneath the surface, but Cinder's words forced him to think.

He recalled sothing Yu'Kito had once told him—a warning, really. "You need to make the lines clear, Alister. Between commander and spouse. Otherwise, emotions will get in the way."

His gaze darkened.

Mar'Garet had overstepped, let her personal feelings cloud her judgnt in a way that could have had consequences.

And it was his responsibility to handle it.

Alister sighed as he said, "I understand, I'll talk to her."

Cinder nodded, releasing his hand as she studied his expression. "Good. Just… don't be too harsh on her. She's ssed up. But she cares... A lot."

Alister exhaled slowly, his golden aura dimming as he pushed his frustration aside. "I'll handle it."

Before he could say more, a loud crash echoed behind them.

Miyu had just been sent skidding backward, digging her legs into the dirt to stop herself. She wiped a small cut on her cheek and grinned. "Not bad, old man!"

Galisk chuckled, rolling his shoulders. "Not bad yourself, little star. But you're still holding back, aren't you?"

Miyu's grin widened. "Maybe a little."
