Tang Yin gritted her teeth as she continued to listen to the introduction of the fighters and observe them.
Yan had a fire attribute spirit like Fatty. Between them, it would be a battle about whose flas were stronger and more potent. The most she worried about was Lucy, though. Her Toothed Verocious Eater, a scythe that looked like it might just devour you, could cause more than just physical harm, which was extrely dangerous.
Then they stood there, facing off. For a brief mont, she wondered why they had put Oscar in and not Feng. Yes, with him, they could recover spirit power and gain extra abilities, but he was not a combat mber; he was soone to be protected. Feng made high-speed battles possible while providing support and even acting as an active combat mber when it ca down to it, despite having a lower spirit power.
She bit on her lower lip and observed as she saw the auras and rings floating around them. Her fingers twitching, she wanted to be down there and fight. Swallowing the tension down, she kept her gaze fixed.
"Let the battle begin!" The man announced, and her gaze flickered to her brother, but for now, no side moved, all of them remaining calm. Hu Liena stepped forward, her hips swaying. For a mont, she was srizing, utterly downright fascinating, so much so that one wanted to steal her.
Yin closed her eyes and blocked her ears, holding her breath for a second.
Charm.
Very strong charm if it affected her like this, at a distance. Pink mist rose from the ground, as the others reacted similarly. Only Wu smiled and then stepped forward as well, blinking innocently.
Equally charming. Different, less seductive but potent nevertheless.
Tang Yin swallowed. This was going to be a hard fight. A few seconds later, both of them stumbled apart, Xiao Wu's hand wandering to her chest as she coughed a few tis.
Right now, her spirit power was lower. Then a scratching sound ca, and Tang Yin's attention was ripped away from Xiao Wu to Xie Yue. His blade dragged over the ground as his spirit rings rose from his feet upwards. Tang Yin counted five for both of them. They were significantly stronger.
Xie Yue's blade rose as a crimson sheen spread from his side, alongside Hu Liena, who was standing next to him, smiling. In the back, she saw the staff user activating a support ability that surrounded them with a golden sheen. None of Shrek Moved.
She wanted to scream at them to move when suddenly the arena was engulfed in a red aura.
"srizing Genie," Chen Xin explained behind her. "Xie Yues and Hu Lienas Soul Fusion skill. It can trap and largely suppress the other party's ability."
Tang Yin's gaze ripped back to the battle as she balled her fist. Her brother had better walk out of this largely unhard, or she would beat his ass nine ways and then beat the ones who caused him to be hurt.
"I see sothing interesting." She comnted and kept her eyes firmly trained on the crimson mist that filled out half the arena.
The people were standing still.
She blinked and then used purple demon eye. Her eyes filled with purple threats as she saw how everything moved. It was hazy and yet clear at the sa ti. Her temple burned, and golden threads were woven into the purple of her eyes.
They were standing there. In that mist, a singular figure with crescent moon blades and of undefinable gender danced through it. Flickers of light moving through the crimson. Tang Yin's gaze flickered to the other mbers of the Spirit Hall, with cold smiles on their faces. Then back to the mbers of the Tang Sect.
Blue silver grass swayed through the fog as Tang San guided the others out of the mist. She saw the silver of it flickering at her sight. Yin smiled behind her veil.
Right, the Tang Sect arts. They would still work without issue even inside the red mist.
Dai Mubai roared as he flew through the air, transforming as Ma Hongjun's wings burst forward, their fiery sheen illuminating the surroundings for a second. Tang Yin closed her eyes, needing to guard them for a second before opening them up again. Xiao Wu suddenly spread a pair of thin translucent wings as she was airborne.
Ning Ring Rongs pagoda was suddenly a lot more ominous against the red light of the Spirit Fusion ability from Hu Liena and Xie Yue as she floated gracefully above it.
Oscar's Flying Sausage. She rembered. That had to be it.
The battle moved from the ground to the air. Hadn't they known about Oscar's ability?
Well, now they surely would, ignoring a support spirit master was a steep tactical mistake. There was a reason it was an unwritten rule of tactics that you always tried to take out the support first.
Tang Yin felt her heart beating in her throat, and for a mont she wished she were down there again. Fighting. Suddenly, an image flicked past her eyes, layering like a second image over the one in front of her. Enclosed in a golden sheen.
Like a fata morgana.
