Tang San hugged her tightly as she felt cold shivers run down her spine.
"Don't worry." He muttered to her, his voice dark and expression tight. "I'll kill her and whoever else wants to harm you before they can."
Tang Yin had a bitter smile hush over her face.
"Thank you." She muttered and closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth.
Zhao Wujis went to them and eyed the siblings before he quieted and wanted to head to them. Ning Feng put her hand on his shoulder, stopping him wordlessly.
He stared at her briefly before leaving the siblings alone in their mont.
Tang Yin decided to let go of Tang San and took a deep breath. Then she smiled. It was no use being depressed. Lucy wasn't worth her thoughts right now.
"Let's go," Tang Yin muttered to herself and received a pat on the shoulder before Tang San headed ahead with her right on his heels. Zhao Wuji let out a sigh, mustering his students.
"We will seek a good camp location tonight and head back to school tomorrow. The way ho will be slower as I want to further train you on survival techniques on the way back. We will cover things such as first aid for injuries, staying hidden, so on. The ones who have hunted with before know I always have such sessions on the way ho; this will be for most of you, a first for the others, a good to freshen
up the basics."
"Got it," Ma Hongjun said with a grin and spread his wings. I'll take a quick look from above...I'll be right back." Then he headed into the sky, accompanied by Zhu Zhuquing as fast as she could by climbing a tree. Shortly later, he returned to the ground.
"There is a promising clearing a few kiloters down that way, " he said. Zhao Wuji nodded, looking at Oscar, still absorbing his spirit ring.
"We'll wait until Oscar is done absorbing his spirit ring, hopefully before nightfall, and then head there, " he announced. "I don't like Spirit Hall knowing where we are, so we will move once Oscar is finished."
They all agreed and then divided into small smatterings of groups around a small campfire lid by Oscar. Although it was still daylight, it began to cool down. Tang Yin leaned against Tang San. His arm went around her as he silently held her close, consoling her and giving her the calm she needed, assuring her everything would be fine.
Not too far from her, Ning Feng cuddled with Xiao Wu, both dozing, their eyes closed, catching a bit of rest.
Ma Hongjun and Dai Mubai were playing cards halfheartedly, Ning Rong Rong and Zhu Zhuquing were ditating, while Zhao Wuji kept his attention on their surroundings, assuring nothing was missed. Whenever there was an unfamiliar sound from the forest's background noise, it held the attention of all present as they stopped doing whatever they were doing.
Oscar opened his eyes at so point, then he laughed, both arms spread wide, and stood up doing a small happy dance while laughing. All eyes on him, he announced, one hand pointing to the sky. "You will not believe the ability I got!"
Dai Mubai, who had just surrendered his cards to Ma Hongjun, who definitely had the better hand, looked at him curiously. Everyone waiting for him to tell them what ability he had gained.
"The flying sausage." He announced, and a Sausage appeared in his hand. "Allows you to fly for two minutes."
Everyone stared at him. "That's so cool." Ma Honjun finally erased and ignored the still, slightly down atmosphere. In his wake, Xiao Wu and Ning Feng did a thumbs up as Xiao Wu hugged Oscar enthusiastically.
"That is an amazing ability," Tang San said, and Tang Yin agreed with a big thumbs up on her side, nodding enthusiastically alongside Dai Mubai, who patted Oscars back in congratulations. Even Quiet Zhu Zhuquing muttered a "Congratulations." Only Ning Rong Rong stared at him wordlessly, needing more ti before congratulating him.
It still hit her that she was no longer the most talented support spirit master. Tang Yin, who enforced her decision to stop being down and try to see things optimistically, joined in the small happy dance before she grinned at Oscar. "Let's try it out." She giggled, and Oscar handed her her sausage.
"Stop!" Zhao Wuji interrupted. "First, Congratulations on your new spirit ability. It's amazing; second, we have to move from here. Honjun earlier spotted a clearing where we could camp. For celebrations, we do them there; I want us all there by nightfall."
"Alright. You know what we can get there via the flying sausage." He conjured up another Sausage. "I can make six of them right now." He said, and all of them looked at each other, counting that was not enough for everyone.
"I can run." Zhao Wuji announced. "Even flying, you brats can't keep up with ."
"I will run. I don't mind," Tang San said with a smile, joined by Xiao Wu. " as well. I can run, but I want to try it out later."
"Alright." Then Oscar conjured more of his flying sausages. For Ning Rong Rong, Ning Feng, Dai Mubai, Himself, and Zhu Zhuqing and handed them out. Ma Honjun spread his wings, and then he flew upwards. The others ate their sausages. A pair of translucent wings appear on their wings, a bit like those of a butterfly.
"Fairy Wings," Yin giggled excitedly. Then, I followed Ma Honjun, who led the way. They stayed low on the ground, ensuring they wouldn't lose their companions. Ning Feng laughed joyfully as she twisted mid-air, her hands spread wide. Tang Yin joined her as they danced through the sky, the clearing coming closer and closer when the entire forest quaked.
They all fell to the ground and shouted in surprise as they held on to whatever they found.
"What the...?" Zhao Wuji looked around.
"An Earthquake?" Yin shouted and secured herself with lianes, stretching them out to others.
Xiao Wu slipped out of her grasp and looked at her, shaking her head. Then the earth quaked again. Zaho Wuji let out a scream. "Cover!"
Then the ground trembled, and Tang San shouted as he shot forward when Xiao Wu let out a high, pierced scream.
