Hearing Dominic Crawford’s words, all the Superpower Users snapped out of their daze and charged forward without hesitation.
In an instant, a barrage of different Superpowers was unleashed on the enormous Aberrant Beast.
The combined assault of tal, wood, water, fire, and earth was an incredible spectacle.
But it was a spectacle and little more.
In reality, it did very little damage.
This was not only because their Superpowers were weak, but also because the massive Aberrant Beast seed to have an iron-like hide.
Even Superpowers as potent as Jayce’s and Sierra Sullivan’s had only managed to inflict superficial wounds, let alone those of the other Superpower Users.
The Superpowers they threw at the giant Aberrant Beast’s body were like trying to tickle it.
And it was the kind of tickling that only served to enrage it.
Previously, its targets had only been Sierra Sullivan and Jayce.
But now, its attention was drawn to Dominic Crawford and his group.
It flapped its wings, twisting its enormous body in midair, and charged straight for Dominic Crawford’s group.
Horrified, Dominic Crawford imdiately shouted a warning, "Spread out—"
But he was too late.
To be precise, the enormous Aberrant Beast was simply moving too fast.
Before his words even had a chance to fade, it was already upon them.
It slamd directly into Dominic Crawford and three other Superpower Users who couldn’t get out of the way in ti, sending them flying.
Like rag dolls, they were first launched into the air before crashing heavily back to the ground.
Fortunately, the thick sand on the ground cushioned their fall to so extent.
Otherwise, an impact with that much force onto hard ground would have likely cost them their lives.
But this wasn’t entirely a good thing.
Because Aberrant Beasts could erge from the sand!
The mont they landed, Dunescrawlers burst out from the sand and began to swarm over them.
Fortunately, there was a Fire Ability User in their group.
Though his body was wracked with pain as if he’d been torn apart, his mind was still sharp, and his reflexes were quick.
Upon seeing the Dunescrawlers, he didn’t hesitate for a second, imdiately launching fireballs at them.
Dunescrawlers are terrified of fire.
They are even more terrified of the flas produced by a Fire Ability.
A whole patch of Dunescrawlers was instantly incinerated, leaving behind nothing but a few gravel-like specks.
Those were probably their Crystal Cores.
But they were incredibly tiny.
Even if soone wanted to collect them, it would be an incredibly difficult task.
Besides, with everyone in mortal danger, no one would even think of it.
Sensing the danger, the remaining Dunescrawlers quickly retreated, lting back into the sand and disappearing from sight.
But Dominic Crawford and the others knew these Dunescrawlers hadn’t truly gone.
They had rely concealed themselves, blending in with the sand.
They were still there, lurking in secret, waiting.
Given the slightest opportunity, they would erupt from the sand and devour a person completely in an instant.
This constant feeling of one’s life hanging by a thread was unbearable.
But there was nothing they could do about it.
The Dunescrawlers weren’t the most dangerous threat.
The most dangerous threat was the enormous Aberrant Beast that looked ready to charge over and stomp them all to death at any mont.
The only reason it hadn’t co over yet was because Sierra Sullivan and Jayce were keeping it occupied.
Otherwise—
Dominic Crawford was overco with anxiety.
He had led his team out here to help.
But now, they had only made things worse.
anwhile, Sierra Sullivan and Jayce couldn’t afford to pay attention to anything else.
Their gazes were locked on the massive Aberrant Beast, searching for a weak point even as they worked to keep it contained.
No Aberrant Beast in the world was without a weakness.
They just hadn’t found it yet!
After another narrow escape from the beast’s attack, Sierra Sullivan’s sharp eyes spotted sothing on its abdon that looked like a navel.
Her instincts scread at her. ’That’s its weak point!’
"Jayce!" Sierra Sullivan yelled as loud as she could. "Its abdon!"
"Got it!"
Jayce answered, making a quick hand signal to Sierra Sullivan.
The aning was clear: he would keep the beast busy while she attacked its abdon.
Neither distracting the beast nor attacking its weak point was an easy task.
Jayce wished he could do both things himself.
But that was obviously impossible.
So he had to choose the more dangerous of the two roles.
Sierra Sullivan had no ti to argue with him.
Ti was the one thing they couldn’t afford to waste!
The more ti they wasted, the longer this dragged on, the worse their situation would beco.
’We have to end this, and fast!’
Holding her breath and focusing her mind, Sierra Sullivan quietly slipped out of the Aberrant Beast’s attack range.
As the beast charged toward Jayce, she focused all her energy, using her Superpower to form a massive Sand Arrow.
The mont the Aberrant Beast took to the air again, the Sand Arrow shot forward, flying straight toward its abdon.
THWUMP!
The sound of tearing flesh followed.
It wasn’t a loud noise, but with all her attention focused on the target, Sierra Sullivan heard it with perfect clarity.
The massive Sand Arrow had buried itself completely in the Aberrant Beast’s body.
The arrowhead even protruded from its back.
The beast, so ferocious just monts ago, now deflated like a punctured balloon.
THUD!
The ground trembled from the massive impact.
The Aberrant Beast lay on the ground, letting out a few furious but feeble roars before falling completely silent.
Seeing this, Sierra Sullivan finally let out a sigh of relief.
She had been running on pure willpower until then.
Now that the tension was gone, her strength gave out completely.
Her knees buckled, and she almost collapsed to the ground.
But in the next mont, she felt herself fall into an embrace.
Feeling the familiar arms around her, Sierra Sullivan knew it was Jayce without even having to look.
Then, Jayce’s voice reached her ears.
"Sierra, don’t be afraid. It’s over now."
Sierra Sullivan shook her head. "I’m not afraid! I just... thought it was thrilling."
’That feeling of your life hanging by a thread, the adrenaline rush... it’s a real thrill!’
’Even thinking about it now, it’s still so exciting!’
Hearing this, Jayce let out a low chuckle. "I never knew Sierra had such a hobby! If you like thrills, then that makes things simple..."
Sierra Sullivan was taken aback.
’Why do I get the feeling there’s a hidden aning in his words?’
But at that mont, Sierra Sullivan didn’t have ti to dwell on it.
She was more curious about what kind of Crystal Core she would find inside the giant Aberrant Beast.
"I want to see its Crystal Core," Sierra Sullivan said softly.
"Alright!" Jayce agreed. "I’ll go get it for you right now!"
With that, Jayce helped Sierra Sullivan stand steady on her own two feet and walked toward the Aberrant Beast.
But before Jayce could do anything, a group of people approached from another direction.
"Hold it!" Hugo Cheney, the man in the lead, called out to stop them. "That Aberrant Beast’s Crystal Core is not for you to take!"
