In the quiet eting hall, soft light bathed the space in a warm, tranquil atmosphere. Only Su Yaoyao and Mingye were present.
With gentle, deliberate movents, Su Yaoyao carefully put away the agreent Mingye had signed, a docunt of imnse importance.
Once it was safely stored, she looked up at Mingye, her gaze soft. "Are you really not coming back to the Imperial City with ?" she asked quietly, her voice tinged with both hope and concern.
Mingye frowned slightly, a thoughtful look in his deep eyes. "I still have so things to take care of," he said slowly.
’He knew that ceasing the sale of advanced weaponry to other planets would cause a massive uproar. It would undoubtedly anger many factions with whom he had profitable dealings. There would be a lot of trouble to clean up afterward, and he had to stay behind to handle it all properly.’
"Alright," Su Yaoyao replied quietly, a hint of disappointnt unconsciously coloring her tone. She lowered her head slightly, her long lashes fluttering as if to conceal her reluctance to leave him.
Seeing her like this, Mingye’s heart stirred. A gentle smile touched his lips. "You want to co back with you?" he asked, his voice laced with both teasing and anticipation.
A blush instantly blood on Su Yaoyao’s cheeks. She bit her lower lip, then said shyly, "Well, I’ve already eaten you all up. I have to take responsibility, right? We should go to the Imperial City and get a marriage certificate." As she finished, she peeked up at Mingye, her eyes sparkling with mischief and hope.
At her words, Mingye’s eyes lit up instantly. Overco with emotion, he swept Su Yaoyao into a tight embrace, his voice thick with surprise and joy. "Yaoyao, you’ve finally accepted ." He held her close, as if trying to rge her into his very being, never to be parted.
"You idiot. We slept together in that birdcage for so many days. Couldn’t you tell I like you, too?" Su Yaoyao chided softly, her voice as gentle and warm as a spring breeze.
She nestled in Mingye’s embrace, feeling their hearts beat as one, her own filled with sweetness.
"Yaoyao, I love you," Mingye murmured, his voice full of emotion. He then slowly lowered his head and gently kissed her lips.
It was a tender, passionate kiss, as if ti itself had frozen, leaving only the two of them in the entire world.
Su Yaoyao closed her eyes, sinking into the sweet mont as happiness blood in her heart.
After what felt like an eternity, Mingye released her. He gazed at her tenderly and said, "Once I’ve handled things here, I will co find you in the Imperial City." His eyes were firm and resolute, as if sealing an eternal promise.
"Mm-hm," Su Yaoyao murmured. She believed him, and her heart filled with hope for their future.
Soon after, Su Yaoyao and her party boarded a Flying Ship back to the Imperial City. As the ship slowly ascended, Su Yaoyao stood by a window, watching Mingye and the citizens below who had co to see her off. A deep reluctance to leave washed over her.
Mingye stood amongst the crowd, his figure tall and straight. His gaze remained fixed on the rising Flying Ship, his eyes filled with longing.
The citizens waved flowers and colorful banners, showering Su Yaoyao with their gratitude and blessings.
Onboard the Flying Ship, Su Yaoyao took a deep breath and turned to face her three Beast Husbands. "From now on, Mingye is also one of my Beast Husbands," she announced solemnly. "We have already consummated our union."
Having said her piece, she nervously squeezed her eyes shut, afraid of how her Beast Husbands might react and not daring to look.
However, a long mont passed in silence. Cautiously, Su Yaoyao opened her eyes and looked at her three Beast Husbands. "You don’t seem surprised by my decision," she said, her voice filled with a quizzical confusion.
Bai Lian sighed softly, his gaze gentle as he looked at Su Yaoyao. "Back in the Imperial City, whenever you spoke of Mingye, the look in your eyes was different. We guessed long ago that you liked him." His voice was calm and warm, like a spring breeze caressing her heart.
Su Yaoyao’s eyes went wide with surprise. "Was it that obvious?" She could hardly believe they had seen through her so easily.
With resigned expressions, the three n crossed their arms and nodded in unison.
"So... are you angry with for taking in another handso man?" Su Yaoyao asked cautiously, a flicker of worry in her eyes.
"Yaoyao is a Holy Female. Even if you married a hundred Beast Husbands, no one would dare object," Pani sighed. And though he sounded magnanimous, a faint trace of hurt was still audible in his voice.
"A hundred? That’s an exaggeration." Su Yaoyao laughed awkwardly. ’I need to cheer up my Beast Husbands. I can’t let them be sad over this.’
She put on a brilliant smile and walked over to the three n. "Oh, but you three are the ones I love the most," she cooed, her voice sweet as she tried to dispel the delicate tension.
Reg snorted, pretending to be angry. "You player. You just say you love whoever is right in front of you." But despite his words, his eyes were full of adoration.
Su Yaoyao bit her lip. ’Looks like that trick won’t work anymore.’
’That only leaves seduction.’
She rose onto her tiptoes and planted a kiss on each of their cheeks, a playful smile on her face. "Don’t be mad, okay? Can we all sleep together tonight? I haven’t had a fluffy cuddle in so long." She looked at them with wide, expectant eyes, her gaze full of playful pleading.
The three n’s expressions instantly softened at her words. A flicker of surprised delight appeared in their eyes, and they were all clearly pleased. How could they possibly refuse such a sweet request from Yaoyao?
"Hey, hey, hey! I’m still here, you know," a disgruntled Noah called out from a corner where he’d been ignored.
He looked at Su Yaoyao with a pathetic, wronged expression. "Yaoyao, I want kisses, too! And I want to sleep with everyone!" he whined, sounding like a child who’d been denied a piece of candy.
Reg snorted, teasing, "And you said you’d be on your best behavior if Yaoyao brought you to Snake Scale City. All I saw you do was hide in the water and sleep all day. You didn’t do a single thing."
"Who says I didn’t do anything!" Noah retorted indignantly. "If it weren’t for , would Mingye have confessed his feelings so quickly?"
’If I hadn’t given them that "Dreaming With You" aphrodisiac,’ he thought, ’who knows how long Mingye would have dragged his feet before confessing. And the peace talks? They would have been delayed until God knows when.’
