Su Yaoyao’s face grew even redder. ’He observed my underwear?!’
Seeing Su Yaoyao’s shocked expression, Bai Lian quickly explained:
"Don’t misunderstand. To buy you clothes, I first need to know your size. Besides, you’re much more petite than Beastman females, so all your clothes will have to be custom-made."
Su Yaoyao’s face flushed. Of course, she knew a gentleman like Bai Lian wouldn’t have any ill intentions.
It was just the thought of a man carefully examining and touching her intimate apparel that made her cheeks burn fiercely.
She was still completely unaware that Bai Lian had even washed her underwear himself.
Next, Bai Lian carried Su Yaoyao to the bathroom and patiently taught her how to use the new technology to wash her face and brush her teeth.
The mirror could also directly display her heart rate and health status.
Su Yaoyao stared at the mirror in wonder, unable to stop herself from exclaiming, "This is incredible! Where I’m from, mirrors can only show your reflection."
Bai Lian smiled in response. "This is quite common in the interstellar age. As you get used to things, you’ll discover even more interesting stuff."
After she had freshened up, Bai Lian steadily lifted Su Yaoyao with one arm, letting her sit comfortably in the crook of his elbow. He asked, "If you’re ready, let’s go have a look around."
A look of anticipation spread across Su Yaoyao’s face. She wrapped her arms around Bai Lian’s neck and said excitedly, "Okay! I’ve been wanting to see the military base for a while now!"
Carrying Su Yaoyao, Bai Lian walked out of the residential building and into another. They proceeded down a long corridor until they arrived at a huge tal door.
He glanced at the recognition device by the door, which then slid open slowly, revealing a scene brimming with a powerful sense of technology.
It was a spacious hall, with all sorts of advanced instrunts and equipnt arranged in an orderly fashion.
In the center of the hall was a massive holographic map, clearly displaying the entire planet’s topography and military deploynts.
"This is our command center," Bai Lian explained. "With this equipnt, we can monitor any activity on the planet in real ti and respond swiftly."
Su Yaoyao’s eyes widened as she took in the sight before her, marveling, "Wow, this place is just like a scene from a sci-fi movie!"
’A sci-fi movie?’ Bai Lian smiled faintly. ’I suppose that’s one way to describe it.’
Just then, a young soldier happened to walk by and glanced up, his eyes landing on Su Yaoyao.
He stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes fixed on Su Yaoyao, his face a mask of pure astonishnt.
On a military base like this, he was used to only ever seeing rugged warriors. It was the first ti he had ever laid eyes on such a petite, cute, and stunningly beautiful female like Su Yaoyao.
Bai Lian noticed the soldier’s gaze and shot him a cold look.
That glare was like a sharp blade, instantly snapping the soldier back to his senses.
His face turned deathly pale. He hurriedly lowered his head, not daring to look at Su Yaoyao again, and rushed off with stumbling steps.
Su Yaoyao was completely oblivious to this, her attention fully captivated by the surrounding technology.
To one side of the command center, there was a special area displaying various weapon models.
Bai Lian carried Su Yaoyao over, picked up a small model of an Energy Gun, and handed it to her. "This is one of our newly developed weapons. Its energy output is stable, and it’s highly portable."
Bai Lian explained patiently, "In battle, it can have an unexpected impact."
Su Yaoyao carefully took the Energy Gun model, feeling its cold texture.
Although it was just a model, she could almost imagine it firing powerful blasts of energy on the battlefield.
At that mont, a technician walked over, intending to report so data to Bai Lian.
The instant his gaze fell upon Su Yaoyao, he too was deeply captivated.
He opened his mouth, but the report he had prepared was instantly wiped clean from his mind.
Bai Lian’s brow furrowed slightly, a flash of displeasure in his eyes.
The technician snapped out of his daze as if waking from a dream. He quickly lowered his head and began to report, his voice trembling slightly with nervousness. "Ad... Admiral, the results of the latest energy data test..."
’It’s all technical jargon,’ Su Yaoyao thought. ’I don’t understand any of it.’
After that, Bai Lian took Su Yaoyao to the base’s training grounds.
Here, a group of young soldiers was undergoing high-intensity training. Their movents were agile and powerful, every punch and kick whistling through the air.
"Our soldiers must undergo rigorous training every day. It’s the only way they can protect our ho and our fellow Beastn when facing the enemy."
Bai Lian said, his eyes filled with approval and trust for his soldiers.
Watching the soldiers, Su Yaoyao felt a surge of admiration. She couldn’t help but say to Bai Lian, "They’re so amazing. The training must be really tough, right?"
Bai Lian nodded. "To protect what’s important, they endure any hardship without complaint."
However, when the soldiers caught sight of Su Yaoyao during a break in their training, they couldn’t help but stop what they were doing, their gazes locked on her.
They had never seen such a beautiful female before and were all montarily stunned.
Bai Lian’s gaze grew even colder as he swept his eyes over the young soldiers.
Feeling that chill, the soldiers all snapped back to their senses and threw themselves back into training, their movents even more vigorous than before, as if trying to cover up their recent loss of composure.
After touring the training grounds, Bai Lian took Su Yaoyao to the base’s dical center.
The equipnt here was also incredibly advanced, with various high-tech dical instrunts capable of providing rapid and accurate diagnosis and treatnt for the injured.
"Injuries are unavoidable in battle," Bai Lian said. "That’s why our dical team must have the most advanced technology and equipnt, so they can save our soldiers’ lives at a mont’s notice."
Su Yaoyao nodded. She saw the dical staff busily running treatnt drills on so simulated patients.
However, not everyone in the dical departnt was busy working.
In one corner, a figure was leaning lazily back in a chair, cutting a conspicuous figure.
Pani was leisurely munching on a carrot, his feet casually propped up on the desk in front of him, the very picture of laid-back comfort.
"Pani." Bai Lian’s voice was deep and steady, sounding especially clear in the quiet dical center.
"Ah!" Startled by the sudden voice, Pani leaped to his feet. Two long rabbit ears shot straight up from his head, looking particularly comical.
He turned his head and, upon seeing it was Bai Lian, a flash of annoyance and dissatisfaction crossed his face. He muttered under his breath, "You scared to death. Why’d you have to shout so loud all of a sudden?"
"Examine Yaoyao’s leg," Bai Lian said curtly, his eyes conveying an unquestionable authority.
"Right." Hearing that it was about the little female, Pani imdiately put down his carrot, stood up, and straightened his slightly disheveled clothes.
