"Ho..." Su Yaoyao froze when she heard the word, a flicker of hesitation rising in her heart.
’Has my relationship with Lucia really progressed to the point where I can go to his ho?’ she silently wondered. Although his tails held a deadly attraction for her, she still had so misgivings.
Lucia seed to read her mind, but he didn’t rush to persuade her.
He extended a slender finger and gently stroked one of his tails, his eyes glinting with smug satisfaction. "I just had them grood, you know. The fur is so fluffy and smooth."
As he spoke, he gently nuzzled his face against the tail and even let out a deliberate, contented sigh. "Mmm, so fragrant and soft." He looked as if he were showing Su Yaoyao a priceless treasure.
Listening to Lucia’s description and imagining the wonderful sensation of touching those nine tails, Su Yaoyao could no longer hold back. "Okay!" she declared loudly. "I’ll definitely be there!"
’I swear, I have to touch his tails,’ she vowed silently. ’I’m going to touch every single one of them!’
Lucia’s eyes narrowed into a sly smile. "Great. I’ll be waiting for you. I’ll send you the address in a private ssage."
He knew he had successfully planted a seed of anticipation in Su Yaoyao’s heart. Now, all he had to do was wait for that seed to take root and sprout.
After she hung up, Su Yaoyao’s Light Computer received the location from Lucia almost instantly.
Along with the location data ca a ssage from Lucia, brimming with anticipation: "You have to co, okay? I’ll be waiting for you~"
The ssage was followed by a cute and playful emoji of a little fox blowing a kiss. It was as if Lucia himself were sending her a heartfelt kiss through the screen.
A blush instantly spread across Su Yaoyao’s cheeks when she saw the ssage.
She instinctively bit her lip as a complex mix of shyness and sweetness washed over her.
After hesitating for a mont, her fingers slid gently across the screen, and she sent a kissing emoji back.
Then, with a hint of reluctance, she logged out of the Star Network, her thoughts already drifting to her eting with Lucia the next day.
Lying in bed, her mind replayed the image of Lucia’s nine fluffy tails swaying gently.
Full of anticipation, she muttered to herself, "It’s been so long since I’ve petted sothing fluffy. I wonder what a fox’s tail feels like."
Fluffy things always soothed her fatigue. The re thought of it filled her with longing for the next day.
Just as she was lost in her pleasant fantasy, a sudden knock echoed from the door. The KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK was exceptionally clear in the quiet room.
Su Yaoyao called out instinctively, "Co in."
But when the door swung open and she saw His Majesty Augustine walking in, Su Yaoyao was so shocked she shot bolt upright in bed.
Her eyes widened, her expression freezing on her face like a startled fawn.
The sweet daydreams of Lucia that had filled her mind just monts before were completely shattered by Augustine’s sudden appearance.
Her heartbeat suddenly accelerated. In a fluster, she quickly straightened her disheveled clothes. ’I can’t believe His Majesty followed here.’
Augustine’s gaze swept over Su Yaoyao. Her flustered expression and the faint blush on her cheeks aroused his suspicion.
"Yaoyao, why didn’t you wait for in the study?" His voice was deep and llow, but to Su Yaoyao’s ears, it carried an invisible weight.
Su Yaoyao’s heart clenched. "Your Majesty," she explained hurriedly, "I was a little tired, so I thought I would co back to my chambers to rest for a while." She couldn’t et Augustine’s eyes, her gaze flitting away.
Augustine frowned slightly. He slowly approached Su Yaoyao, and with every step, it felt as if he were treading on her heart.
"Tired? Or was there another reason?" Augustine’s gaze was locked on Su Yaoyao, as if trying to read the answer in her expression.
Su Yaoyao bit her lower lip. ’Another reason... Does being afraid of the pain count? After all, His Majesty’s isn’t exactly small.’
Su Yaoyao took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down. "I really am just tired, Your Majesty," she said. Her trembling voice, however, gave her away.
Augustine didn’t press the issue. "If you’re tired, then get so rest." His tone softened as he gently stroked Su Yaoyao’s hair, his eyes full of affection.
A whirlwind of emotions churned within Su Yaoyao. Augustine’s sudden tenderness left her at a loss.
Augustine gently took Su Yaoyao’s hand. He lowered his head, brought her knuckles to his lips, and pressed a soft, devoted kiss there. The warmth of his touch shot through her like an electric current.
He then looked at Su Yaoyao, his gaze full of tenderness and anticipation, and asked softly, "Let sleep here with you, alright?"
Su Yaoyao felt her cheeks instantly grow searing hot, as if they had been set ablaze.
She gave a slight, shy nod.
The corners of Augustine’s mouth tilted up into a deeply satisfied smile.
He gently pulled Su Yaoyao into his embrace, letting her head rest against his chest. They settled down to sleep, wrapped in each other’s arms.
Curled up in Augustine’s warm embrace, Su Yaoyao could clearly feel his strong, powerful arms wrapped tightly around her, as if trying to rge her very being with his.
And yet, with her heart pounding like a drum and a thousand thoughts racing through her mind, she couldn’t fall asleep.
The strong, sonorous rhythm of Augustine’s heartbeat thudded against her ear, sending ripples across the lake of her heart.
In the tranquil atmosphere, Augustine’s voice sounded again, soft as a midnight breeze, but carrying a seriousness that could not be ignored. "Yaoyao, you still haven’t answered my question. Is there a place for in your heart?"
"I..." Su Yaoyao opened her mouth slightly, a thousand words caught in her throat, unsure how to begin.
Her mind was a chaotic ss, a tangle of thoughts that plunged her into a deep, conflicted silence.
"Or was your leaving the study ant to be my answer?" Augustine’s voice grew a little deeper, laced with a barely perceptible hint of disappointnt and doubt.
He tightened his embrace slightly, as if he were afraid of hearing the answer he dreaded.
"That’s not it." Su Yaoyao’s heart jolted as if pricked by a needle.
She instinctively looked up, her gaze instantly eting Augustine’s profound stare.
As their eyes t, she saw the complex emotions swirling in his: anticipation, doubt, and, most of all, how deeply he cared for her.
Su Yaoyao bit her lower lip, a flicker of panic and shyness crossing her eyes. "I’m just... I’m not very good at expressing myself," she said softly. "I don’t know how to say it."
Her voice was barely a whisper, laced with a faint tremor.
She knew full well it wasn’t that she had no feelings for Augustine. It was just that, faced with so many complicated emotional entanglents, she didn’t know how to clearly articulate what was in her heart.
