Lucia was alone in his room, his pupils trembling violently.
The very instant Su Yaoyao left him, a bone-chilling cold swept through his entire body, as if all the warmth in the world had vanished without a trace along with her.
He stared blankly at the receding figures of Augustine carrying Su Yaoyao away. The pain in his heart was like a surging tide, overwhelming him completely and causing his body to tremble so violently he was on the verge of collapse.
"Why are you walking away again? Why do you have to leave ? I did what you said! I found sothing to do, I’m trying to beco the man you want to be, so why don’t you want ?! Am I just destined to be abandoned? No one wants ! Not even you!!!"
Lucia let out a pained roar, his voice filled with despair and indignation, as if trying to unleash all the injustice and fury coiled in his heart.
He clutched his head with both hands and curled into a ball, as if that could sohow shield him from the haunting pain.
But under the tornt, his beast-like features began to shift, changing rapidly and uncontrollably.
His once-handso face was gradually covered by a layer of fiery red fur. His ears grew pointed, and his snout lengthened, revealing sharp fangs that glinted with a sinister light.
Nine enormous tails burst from his back. Each one was thick and powerful, the fur undulating like living fire.
In that mont, Lucia had transford into a giant Nine-tailed Red Fox, his body radiating a terrifying aura.
Its fiery red fur glead under the lights, like flowing magma, filled with incandescent, destructive power. Its eyes burned with crimson flas, as if it intended to incinerate the entire world.
Finally, Lucia could no longer contain the volcanic pain and rage in his heart. He completely snapped.
With a deafening roar, he shot forward like a cannonball, bursting through the window in a shower of glass that scattered like snowflakes.
He traced a fiery red arc through the air as he leaped down.
Roland, who had been downstairs, was startled by the sudden commotion and shot to his feet, his agility allowing him to dodge just in ti. A mont’s hesitation and he would have been killed instantly.
The color drained from Roland’s face as he stared at the rampaging Nine-tailed Red Fox. ’Is this... a frenzied transformation?!’
In his current state, Lucia had lost all reason. His eyes held nothing but a thirst for destruction.
He attacked any moving object without hesitation.
His massive form weaved through the crowd like a phantom, leaving chaos in his wake. People scrambled away in a panic, their screams filling the air.
Roland knew the situation was critical. He imdiately shouted into his communicator, "Holy Knight Order, I need backup! We have a Frenzied Beastman, I repeat, a Frenzied Beastman!"
With that, he decided to draw the Nine-tailed Fox’s attention to himself to prevent more innocents from getting hurt.
In a flash, he shifted into his beast form—a magnificent Silver Wolf. A biting chill radiated from his body, and his eyes glead with resolute light, like two brilliant, cold stars.
The Nine-tailed Red Fox noticed the Silver Wolf. With an enraged roar, it shot toward Roland like a bolt of red lightning. Roland, fearless, dug his claws into the ground and lunged to et the charge. In an instant, they collided, and a desperate struggle to the death began.
The Nine-tailed Red Fox opened its gaping maw and snapped at the Silver Wolf’s neck, its sharp fangs glinting coldly, looking as if they could shred anything.
Roland twisted his body nimbly, artfully dodging the fatal blow. At the sa ti, he swiped his sharp claws at the Nine-tailed Red Fox’s abdon, shouting, "You’ve lost control! Snap out of it!"
The Nine-tailed Red Fox’s reaction was lightning-fast. It whipped one of its tails at Roland like a thick lash. Roland sidestepped, and the tail whistled past, kicking up a fierce gust of wind.
Just then, a voice from a mber of the Holy Knight Order crackled over his communicator: "Commander, we’re almost there! Hang on!"
Roland responded while fending off the Nine-tailed Red Fox, "Faster! His power is terrifying in this state! We can’t let him hurt anyone else!"
The battle raged, a fierce back-and-forth. But in his frenzied state, the Nine-tailed Fox’s power was vastly amplified, its strength far exceeding its normal limits.
Roland gradually found himself struggling. Wounds began to appear on his body, and fresh blood stained his silver fur.
Just then, the Holy Knight Order finally arrived. The knights shifted into their beast forms—tigers, leopards, black bears, and more—and began to surround the Nine-tailed Red Fox from all sides.
"Follow my lead! Don’t attack recklessly! Hold the formation!" Roland yelled.
A knight in tiger form roared, "Let get a piece of him!" and lunged at the Nine-tailed Red Fox.
The Nine-tailed Red Fox was fearless. It let out an earth-shattering roar as all nine of its tails whipped around, forming a fiery red barrier that blocked the tiger’s attack. With a single swipe of its paw, it sent the tiger flying.
"Don’t be rash! This isn’t an ordinary fight!" Roland yelled, his voice laced with anxiety.
Then, he charged a knight in leopard form, bit down on the man’s shoulder, and flung him away like a ragdoll.
The battle descended into a stalemate. Despite their numbers, the Holy Knight Order was outmatched by the sheer power of the frenzied Nine-tailed Red Fox.
Roland watched his comrades fall one by one, his heart burning with anxiety. He knew that if this continued, they would all be killed.
"This isn’t working! We need to scatter and distract him, then find an opening to land a fatal blow together!" Roland yelled into his communicator.
"Understood!" the Holy Knights responded in unison.
The knights scattered, harassing the Nine-tailed Red Fox from different directions in an attempt to break its rhythm.
But the Nine-tailed Red Fox was clever. Spotting a weakness, it gathered all its strength and ramd into one section of the encirclent.
The Holy Knights were sent flying by the sudden, violent assault.
The Nine-tailed Red Fox seized the opportunity to break through their lines. Though covered in wounds and dripping with blood, it dragged its exhausted, battered body into the darkness, leaving behind a ruined battlefield and a group of gravely wounded Holy Knights...
Roland stared in the direction the Nine-tailed Fox had vanished, panting heavily. "Quick, contact the dical team! Treat the wounded first! And send a team to track that Nine-tailed Fox. We can’t let him harm anyone else."
"Yes, sir!" The Holy Knights grit their teeth against the pain and moved to carry out his orders.
