Just then, Su Yaoyao’s finger twitched slightly. Bai Lian and Pani imdiately looked at her, tense.
Su Yaoyao’s eyelids fluttered, and she slowly opened her eyes. Her gaze was still hazy with confusion, a clear sign she wasn’t fully awake.
"I... Where am I?" Su Yaoyao’s voice was faint. She tried to sit up but found she had no strength, her body feeling limp.
Seeing this, Bai Lian imdiately hurried forward. The pain from his injuries slowed his movents slightly. With every step, a sharp, needle-like pain shot through his wounds, but he paid it no mind.
He carefully helped Su Yaoyao lean against the headboard. "Yaoyao, you’re in the dical bay. You’re all right now," Bai Lian said, his voice gentle and full of concern.
Su Yaoyao glanced around and imdiately spotted Reg lying unconscious in the adjacent bed.
"Reg? How is he?" Su Yaoyao asked anxiously.
Bai Lian and Pani exchanged a look. Bai Lian said, "Reg is fine, too. He’s still unconscious, but..."
Bai Lian hesitated for a mont before deciding to tell Su Yaoyao that Reg’s Rage Value had dropped.
When Su Yaoyao heard that Reg’s Rage Value had dropped from 98% to 65%, her eyes widened in shock.
"I... Did I do that?" Su Yaoyao could hardly believe it. She had only acted on instinct to soothe Reg’s Spirit World, never expecting such an astonishing result.
Bai Lian nodded and said earnestly, "You did, Yaoyao. Your spiritual power is beyond anything we imagined. You saved Reg."
A wave of joy surged through Su Yaoyao when she heard she possessed powerful spiritual power.

Bai Lian imdiately cut Pani off. He looked at Su Yaoyao, his eyes filled with worry and concern. "Yaoyao, don’t listen to him. You’ve only just awakened your spiritual power; it’s still unstable. You don’t have to think about any of that. No matter what you choose, I’ll support you. And I’ll always protect you."
As Su Yaoyao listened to them, her smile slowly faded, and her heart grew conflicted.
’Save an entire Empire... That’s such a massive responsibility.’ She felt overwheld, unsure if she could truly shoulder such a burden.
Just then, Su Yaoyao’s gaze fell upon a large patch of blood seeping through Bai Lian’s clothes. The crimson stain was glaringly conspicuous against the white sheets of the hospital bed.
Her heart clenched painfully. Only then did she rember that Bai Lian had also been seriously injured during the chaos.
"Leon, you’re bleeding! Go get treated, quickly!" Su Yaoyao exclaid, her eyes filled with worry and heartache. She tried to get up to call the dical staff but was too weak and fell back onto the bed.
Seeing this, Bai Lian quickly held her down, comforting her softly. "Yaoyao, I’m fine. Don’t move around. Just get so rest." His voice was as gentle as ever, but his pale complexion made his words seem unconvincing.
Just then, Pani stepped forward and said to Su Yaoyao, "Yaoyao, the dical staff tried to get the Admiral to accept treatnt multiple tis, but he wouldn’t listen. He was adamant about waiting for you to wake up. He said he couldn’t leave until he saw you were awake."
Bai Lian felt a flicker of panic. ’Why is he tattling on to Yaoyao?’
Upon hearing this, Su Yaoyao’s eyes instantly welled with tears. She looked at Bai Lian, her heart filled with a mix of emotion and guilt. "Leon, how could you be so foolish? If anything had happened to you because of ... I... what would I have done?" Her voice was choked with sobs as self-reproach washed over her.
An indescribable warmth spread through Bai Lian’s heart. He gently took her hand and said with a smile,
"See? I’m perfectly fine. I was more worried about you than my own injuries. As long as you’re okay, a few wounds like this are nothing."
His gaze was filled with boundless tenderness and resolve, as if nothing in the world mattered more to him than Su Yaoyao’s safety.
Su Yaoyao refused to listen to any more of his excuses. A look of determination flashed in her eyes as she turned toward the door and shouted, "dics! We need dics in here!" Her voice was sharp with urgency.
A few dics rushed into the room monts later.
Su Yaoyao looked at them and said urgently, "Quick, help him with his wounds! He’s badly hurt." The dics imdiately gathered around Bai Lian to inspect his injuries.
Bai Lian tried to say sothing, but Su Yaoyao cut him off, her tone leaving no room for argunt. "Leon, stop resisting. You’re getting treated, now."
Seeing the determination in Su Yaoyao’s eyes, Bai Lian gave a helpless smile and finally cooperated with the dics.
As the dics tended to Bai Lian’s wounds, Su Yaoyao’s gaze never left him, her eyes filled with concern.
When she saw his brow furrow slightly in pain, her own heart ached, and she surreptitiously wiped away a tear.
Once his wounds were treated, so color returned to Bai Lian’s face.
Su Yaoyao finally breathed a sigh of relief. "You need to rest and recover properly," she told him. "And don’t you dare be so reckless again."
The little female pouted, looking quite cross. Teardrops still clung to the corners of her eyes, but her expression was resolute.
Bai Lian never imagined that he, the dignified Admiral of the First Military Base, would be scolded by a delicate little female. Especially when her voice was so soft and sweet, tinged with tears, and carried absolutely no force at all.
Bai Lian smiled indulgently and nodded. "Alright. From now on, I’ll listen to you."
In the adjacent bed, Reg finally began to stir. His finger twitched, and a mont later, his thick eyelashes fluttered before he slowly opened his eyes.
Reg was still dazed upon waking, his eyes hazy with confusion. He instinctively tried to sit up but tugged at his wounds, causing him to HISS in pain.
"Reg, you’re awake?" Su Yaoyao noticed first.
Pani imdiately went to Reg’s bedside and gently pushed him back down. "You’re injured. Don’t move."
Reg looked at Su Yaoyao, a complex emotion flickering in his eyes. "I... What happened to ? I rember... I think I went berserk..."
Pani explained what had happened. "You’re fine now. Su Yaoyao’s spiritual power entered your Spirit World and stabilized your emotions. Because of that, your Rage Value has dropped to 65%."
Reg’s eyes filled with shock. He found it impossible to imagine that this seemingly fragile little female possessed such imnse power.
Su Yaoyao puffed out her chest proudly and crossed her arms, her back ramrod straight. "Hmph. See how capable I am now? You’re not allowed to call a little weakling anymore."
