Now reading: Chapter 432: Zhou Yaling: As Expected, I’m Still the Extra O from Tech Dominator Starts with Raising Kids, a Sci-fi novel by Ants Eat Radish.

(These days I’m traveling, hehe, just left Wuyuan, so updates might be a bit unstable)

"Yo?! That’s a pretty good excuse, you really left with nothing to argue about."

Arguing is not an option, otherwise, I’d have to cook for myself tonight.

"Then what are we waiting for, there’s no food at ho, let’s go, head to the cafeteria kitchen."

"Yeah, yeah, let’s pick out so tasty dishes."

At the cafeteria entrance, Mo Jingchun leaned against the car door, waiting for Candy and Zhou Yaling to pick out so food.

Anyway, what they eat is up to the chef and the little one; as for him, the idle guy, there’s no need to follow along.

"Tsk tsk, this osmanthus tree’s vitality is truly tenacious."

Probably after a few rains, the osmanthus tree that was almost dead after being dug up by Candy was now miraculously alive again, with green sprouts budding from the pruned branches.

At Mo Jingchun’s feet, Bun sat on his shoe, looking at the bare osmanthus tree. Despite seeing it many tis and having accepted the reality, Bun still felt a slight lancholy.

Such a good place to sleep, gone just like that.

To this day, Bun still doesn’t know the truth.

Unable to figure out how such a big osmanthus tree could beco bare after a nap.

The unfortunate greening worker was baffled whenever encountering Bun.

That big orange cat sees colleagues in greening uniforms like them and just ows nonstop.

Although its aning is unclear, the sound, however, doesn’t seem pleasant.

Zhou Yaling didn’t keep Mo Jingchun waiting long, carrying two large bags full of stuff in each hand as she approached.

And the little one cradled a big cabbage in her arms.

The bodyguard casually took the vegetables, while Mo Jingchun, with hands in his trouser pockets, looked at the two bags of greens and remarked in surprise:

"Are we planning on having a vegetarian al? Why is it all vegetables? I didn’t see a single at dish."

"I didn’t even spot any eggs."

Determined to put the big cabbage into the trunk herself, Candy used all her strength to toss it in, then walked over to explain for her sister:

"Brother, the aunties inside said there’s no at, we’ll have to wait until tomorrow for the delivery truck to arrive."

The little one blinked and giggled:

"The auntie said when the fresh veggies arrive tomorrow, she’d save a portion for Guoguo."

"So... why are you so happy, my dear Guoguo?" Mo Jingchun pinched the little one’s cheek and said helplessly:

"Tomorrow we’ll be heading to Jing City and won’t get to eat it."

Candy, who was just feeling proud, was montarily stunned, then quickly realized.

"Oh yeah! Tomorrow we’re going to Jing City, seems like we won’t get to eat it."

"Then it’s all left for sister to enjoy alone~"

Zhou Yaling, who hadn’t been inford, looked incredulous.

She looked at Mo Jingchun, then down at Candy.

"So, you’re both going to Jing City tomorrow???"

"Yeah!" Without a doubt, the sibling duo, Mo Jingchun and Candy, responded identically and in unison.

"How co I didn’t know?"

Mo Jingchun said matter-of-factly: "You have to work, you didn’t have ti to go, so we didn’t ntion it."

"Isn’t it obvious?"

With a grin, Mo Jingchun twisted the knife further saying: "I’m going back to school as a teacher, what could you do there?"

"Trying to prematurely experience the atmosphere of a thesis defense?"

"There’s really no need; your school’s thesis defense is likely not as demanding as Jing City University’s."

Chatting like this was going nowhere, Zhou Yaling grimaced, snorted lightly, and got in the car first.

She casually shut the car door behind her.

The little one looked up at her brother and sheepishly grinned.

"Brother, sister seed to be angry, should we buy her a lollipop to cheer her up?"

Mo Jingchun shrugged nonchalantly and said:

"Don’t worry, your sister won’t get upset."

"I guess, she’s just thinking about her commute after we leave."

The villa is impractically far to walk from the company, a 15-minute drive, but walking would take an hour, especially in this heat.

The villa district is all about tranquility, no traffic, let alone buses.

That’s why Mo Jingchun guessed Zhou Yaling was fretting.

The little one quickly thought of a solution, "Sister can ride Guoguo’s little car!"

"Hahaha~" Mo Jingchun couldn’t help but laugh.

The car door wasn’t closed, so every word the little one said naturally reached Zhou Yaling’s ears.

Hearing the little one’s suggestion, Zhou Yaling rolled her eyes and said:

"Thanks a lot, sister, for suggesting I ride your balance bike to work."

"I don’t know if I’ll be tired, but riding it, I’d surely be the most stylish kid in the company."

Mo Jingchun chuckled and said: "Not just in the company, pretty soon, lots of people in the county will know about you."

After a mont of thought, Mo Jingchun said with a smile: "But Guoguo does have a point, you can just ride a bike to work."

"Buying a bicycle doesn’t cost much and it’s good for fitness."

Zhou Yaling pointed towards the South Gate, and Mo Jingchun knew what she ant, wasn’t it just grandpa she was talking about?

"If Dad wasn’t around here, I’d definitely buy it."

After lifting the little one into the car, Mo Jingchun smiled and said: "Got it, you’re broke. Go buy an electric scooter, keep the receipt, and have Xia Xiaomin reimburse you."

Upon hearing this, Zhou Yaling frowned and said:

"That doesn’t sound right."

"And if Dad asks, how will I explain it?"

Yawning, Mo Jingchun patted his mouth and said indifferently:

"That’s up to your skills. I’m not dealing with grandpa, and tomorrow morning I’m taking Guoguo to Jing City."

"Take your ti to figure it out."

"Think it over before buying an electric scooter."

On the way back, sitting in the car, Zhou Yaling stayed silent, frowning, clearly still pondering how to explain it to the old man.

The little one also noticed her sister’s state and didn’t disturb her, just lay on her brother’s lap, watching her sister with furrowed brows.

————————

"Brother, should I bring the water bottle~"

"Yes! Have sister fill it up with water for you."

"Okay!"

The little one carried a one-liter large water bottle and trotted off to find Zhou Yaling.

After packing clothes for himself and Candy for the Jing City trip, Mo Jingchun carried the bags downstairs.

Seeing Zhou Yaling still dressing up Candy, Mo Jingchun wasn’t in a hurry and sat on the sofa waiting.

Noticing the water bottle was still empty, Mo Jingchun got up and took the water bottle from Guoguo’s hand, filling it with hot water.

"Done."

"Looks great." Zhou Yaling was quite satisfied with her work.

"Candy, once you reach Jing City, be sure to call and let sister know you’re safe~"

"Yeah yeah, got it, sister."
