When Jacob and Lydia arrived at his mansion, they decided to watch a movie. They headed to the living room and settled on the couch. Lydia curled up beside Jacob, hugging him as they watched 'Knight and Day' starring Tom Cruise and Caron Diaz. But Lydia kept glancing at Jacob from ti to ti.

Jacob paused the movie and asked. "What is it?"

Lydia hesitated, then said. "That talking beast we saw in the video store… he was a werewolf, wasn't he?"

Jacob replied. "What makes you think that?"

"I've seen enough werewolf movies." Lydia said. "He looked exactly like one."

Jacob nodded. "You're right. He's a werewolf."

Lydia asked. "Does Allison know about any of this?"

"I told her I have powers." Jacob said. "And I told her the bear—she thinks it's a bear—was actually a man. But she doesn't know he's a werewolf."

"It's pretty obvious." Lydia said, raising an eyebrow. "How could she not tell? Didn't she get a good look at him?"

"She did, but she just didn't think about it that much, I guess. Or her mind doesn't dare to go there and believe that werewolves are real." Then Jacob added. "By the way, don't tell her yet."

Lydia smirked. "Okay, but I want to be the one to tell her about the werewolf on Saturday."

Jacob smiled. "Alright."

Lydia gave him a playful look. "And you… what are you, exactly?"

Jacob chuckled. "I'll tell you on Saturday."

Lydia pouted. "Co on, just a little hint?"

Jacob shook his head. "Nope."

She narrowed her eyes at him. "Well, you're handso… and a little pale. Are you a vampire?"

Jacob gave her an evil grin. "You caught . Now I have to feast on your blood and turn you into one."

He leaned in, pretending to bite her neck—only to kiss it instead.

Lydia flinched, then laughed. "You... you almost scared to death!"

Jacob smirked. "Relax. I'm not a bloodsucker."

"Do vampires exist too?" She asked.

"Probably." Jacob said casually.

"Well, I hope we never et one." She muttered.

"Alright, enough supernatural talk." Jacob said, picking up the remote. "Let's finish the movie—I actually like this one."

They watched the rest of the movie in peace, and when it ended, Jacob stretched and said. "That was a good movie."

"It was." Lydia agreed with a smile.

"Alright, it's late. Ti for bed. Let show you to your room."

After showing Lydia to her room, Jacob handed her a pair of his sweatpants and a t-shirt to sleep in, then headed to his own room to shower. After Lydia finished her shower, instead of staying in her room, she quietly walked over to Jacob's and knocked.

"It's open." Jacob called from inside.

Lydia stepped in and paused when she saw him shirtless, wearing only sweatpants. Her eyes widened slightly. "Wow… you look good. I didn't realize how fit you are. You hide it well under all those baggy clothes."

Jacob chuckled. "Thanks. What's up? Do you need sothing?"

"I don't want to sleep alone tonight." Lydia said softly. "Can I sleep with you?"

Jacob raised an eyebrow. "Alright… but we're just sleeping. No funny business."

Lydia smiled as she closed the door behind her and sat on the bed. "That's fine. But… I wouldn't mind if you did want to do sothing."

Jacob said. "Well, I would love to do sothing, believe . But I promised Allison I wouldn't. So we can't."

Lydia's expression shifted. "So that's what she whispered to you earlier."

"Yeah." Jacob nodded. "And to be fair… I knew her first. So until we figure out what's going on between the three of us, we can't have sex."

Lydia nodded slowly. "Fair enough."

Jacob lay down on the bed, and Lydia curled up beside him. But soon, she slid on top of him with a mischievous smile and said. "But kissing is still allowed, right?"

Jacob smirked. "Sure."

They started making out, their hands exploring each other. After a while, Jacob gently pulled away and rolled her to the side. "That's enough. If we keep going, I might lose control."

Lydia rolled over and hugged him tightly. "I don't mind."

"Well, I do." Jacob said firmly. "I made a promise to Allison. So stop being naughty and go to sleep."

"Fine." Lydia huffed. "Good night."

Jacob turned off the lights. "Good night."

But it didn't take long before Lydia got handsy again—her fingers tracing along his chest, her thigh brushing against his crotch.

Jacob clenched his jaw, thinking. 'Damn it… she's really testing my limits.' He quickly rolled over, hugged her from behind, and muttered. "Go to sleep, or I'm going to another room."

Lydia giggled. "Okay, don't go. I'll stop."

But seconds later, she started rubbing her butt against him again.

'This is torture… I shouldn't have promised Allison.' Jacob thought with a sigh. He let go of her and sat up. "That's it. I'm leaving."

Lydia imdiately turned and grabbed his arm. "Don't. I swear I'll stop this ti. For real."

He hesitated for a mont, then lay back down. Lydia hugged him again, resting her head on his chest—and this ti, she stayed still.

After a few minutes of silence, Lydia whispered. "Jay… are you still awake?"

"Yeah." He replied. "What's up?"

"Can you tell about your life… before moving here?"

Jacob exhaled. "It wasn't bad. Before I turned eight, I lived with my parents. They were amazing. Spoiled like crazy—bought anything I wanted."

He smiled softly. "My mom was the real boss in the house. She could be scary sotis—especially when Dad and I made a ss or skipped chores. We were very happy… until the accident."

Lydia's voice softened. "You don't have to talk about it."

Jacob shook his head. "It's okay. I was at school that day when the principal pulled out of class. He drove to the hospital. My dad… was already gone. My mom was still alive, but barely. I got to talk to her… She was crying, apologizing, asking to take care of myself."

He paused, swallowing the lump in his throat. "She died hugging ."

Lydia's eyes filled with tears. "I'm so sorry… I shouldn't have asked."

Jacob gently wiped her tears and kissed her forehead. "Don't be. Sure, I miss them—every day, I really do. But life must go on. After they died, everything changed. One minute I was in a loving ho with the best parents ever… the next, I was in an orphanage."

Lydia sniffled. "Was it bad in the orphanage?"

Jacob shook his head. "Not really. It was just… when I first got there, I was full of hate and rage. I was angry at the world. No matter how hard the caretakers tried to reach , I wouldn't let them. But eventually, those sweet ladies broke through. They helped find myself again, I guess."

He smiled faintly. "Even though I beca happy again, I also turned into a bit of a troublemaker. Got into a lot of fights."

Lydia smiled. "Did you win at least?"

Jacob chuckled. "Most of the ti, yeah. But I got my ass handed to a few tis too. But don't worry—I always got my revenge. Anyway, life at the orphanage wasn't bad. The other kids and I were well taken care of. I started working sumrs when I was eleven to buy things like gas and other stuff the orphanage couldn't provide. That was my life… until I inherited this place and moved here."

Then he gave her a teasing look. "What about you? Have you always been a bitch?"

Lydia gasped. "Hey! That was uncalled for! But… no. Believe it or not, I used to be a total nerd. Then I decided I'd rather be the bully than be bullied."

Jacob asked. "Can you tell what's going on at ho?"

Lydia sighed. "My parents are going through a nasty divorce. It's getting really ugly—they're tearing into each other."

"Sorry to hear that."

"I just don't get it." She muttered. "They used to love each other. Why can't they just stay that way and be happy together?"

Jacob sighed. "That's how relationships work, I guess. Sotis people find their soulmate and stay happy together for life, but sotis people fall in love with the wrong person, and it's better to end things sooner before sothing bad happens. But whatever happens, you need to rember—it's not your fault. They both love you… they just don't love each other anymore."

Lydia was quiet for a long mont, then said softly. "I know you want to date and Allison at the sa ti. Actually, I didn't mind at first because I was just interested in you and wanted to have fun with you. But the more I get to know you and the more ti I spend with you, the more I can't stop thinking about you. So tell , Jacob… are you going to abandon soday when you get tired of ?"

Jacob smiled and gently brushed her hair back. "No, that's impossible. I will never abandon you nor would I abandon Allison."

Lydia narrowed her eyes slightly. "Why are you so sure?"

"Because of the kind of creature I am." He said.

"And what kind is that?"

Jacob grinned. "The very possessive kind. If vampires are known for sucking blood, then my kind is known for being… well, perverts with lots of wives."

Lydia raised a brow. "Lots of wives? How many is lots? Wait, are you a demon? What is it called again... oh, I rember, it's called an incubus."

Jacob laughed. "No, I'm not an incubus or any other kind of demon. As for how many wives—who knows? But I can tell you that not any woman is qualified to be my woman.I'm only attracted to… special won, and I'm not planning on marrying every woman I see. You'll understand everything on Saturday."

Lydia smirked and started being naughty again, her fingers trailing down his chest with deliberate slowness. They danced across the ridges of his abs before creeping lower, teasing the edge of his waistband.

Just as she reached his lower stomach, Jacob caught her hand and raised a brow. "Do you want to sleep alone?"

Lydia groaned. "Are you even a man? I'm giving you an opportunity here, and you're not taking it."

Jacob spanked her lightly. "I'm more than a man. And one day, you'll find that out—but not tonight. Now sleep."

Lydia huffed. "Fine. Good night, eunuch."

Jacob grinned. "Good night, bitch."

Lydia rolled her eyes, though a smile played at her lips as she nestled against Jacob's chest, using it as her pillow. Within monts, their breathing synchronized, both drifting into peaceful sleep.
