Now reading: Chapter 214: Earth 1998 (2) from Ten Lucky Draws: I Became OP, a Fantasy novel by NovelGeek2.

The year 2008 brought Kaelthyr many realizations and set him on a journey he might still regret deep down. One night, he stumbled upon a tale—just a web novel—but it portrayed an incubus in a way he had never imagined.

Oh wait... that’s right.

It was described exactly as he’d witnessed the night everything changed—from the lustful behavior to the tails and horns. At the ti, it all felt unbelievable to Kaelthyr, who had thought it was only supposed to be fantasy... sothing born from human boredom.

"Just why..." Kaelthyr kept muttering as scenes from his past life played out before him.

He had no idea that with each mory he saw, it was being wiped away entirely... until, when it was over, he would no longer be the person he used to be.

After novels ca religion after religion... He learned of gods, tales of mythical beasts, and so much more. By the end of 2008, he had retired from being a lawyer, dedicating himself entirely to uncovering hidden truths.

Yet it was in that very sa year that his journey ca to an end.

How?

Well...

HONKKKK!!!!

BANG!!!!!

Yes, he was hit by a truck... On his way back to the ho, he had bought for himself and his kids, he died. But his death was no coincidence... though how could he have known that?

And as he watched his final mory of Earth, he heard a sound from behind him.

"Pfft!"

"Dude, you really died to a damn truck?"

Kaelthyr turned around, his eyes dim and hollow, and whether surprised or not, there stood his beloved disciple with that trademark smile.

It should be known that Ash never missed a chance to use his Eyes of First Dawn foresight, especially when stepping into unknown territory, so he knew his master was bound to run into trouble.

He rembered all too well how he and Celeste had watched the man descend into a mindless, bitter wreck.

’Just pitiful,’ Ash thought, shaking his head.

He ant it—he’d been there since the start.

For Ash, making sothing happen was as easy as a thought, as long as it was within his limits.

And materializing into soone’s soul?

That was nothing more than creating a simple red button. It wasn’t much to brag about, just a tool to shift a person’s soul to any location for a day. In Ash’s case, he was his soul—standing there in the flesh, speaking directly to Kaelthyr’s soul form.

"Br... Brat! How long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough, my guy... long enough," Ash replied, leaning casually on Kaelthyr’s shoulder as they watched the mories together.

"You know, Earth year 2008 was pretty special... it was also the year I was born," Ash said with a grin.

For so ti, he’d been teasing his master about the whole Transmigrator nonsense, always using Earth slang in front of Kaelthyr on purpose. Even if he’d use it anyway, he made sure to do it when the guy was around.

"You knew..." Kaelthyr muttered with a small scoff.

"Duh, I also know about that shitty system of yours," Ash replied, making Kaelthyr frown.

"Ho—"

He started to ask, but Ash cut him off.

"Let’s skip the small talk, Master. You know I’m OP as hell, so drop the act," Ash said, rising from his shoulder and turning away.

"You should wake up. The more of these mories you watch, the more you lose. I’ve managed to save all the mories here so far, but my ti is running out."

With that, he summoned the first soul—pitch black and radiating abyssal essence. Ash explained its uses before handing over an amulet identical to Celeste’s and disappearing.

Kaelthyr smiled as he gazed at the floating soul and the amulet.

"Damned brat," he muttered, shaking his head before recalling mories of his first ti in a new world.

"Haha! I, Kaelthyr Nocturne, will repay every grievance ever dealt to —starting with those damned Lust Demons!"

With a roar, he placed the amulet around his neck, feeling it imdiately fusing his soul with the first soul.

As he roared this he put on the Amulet that imdiately began to fuse his soul with the first soul.

The fusion was flawless and complete—Kaelthyr’s soul form extended, tendrils of vampiric shadow weaving into the abyssal black essence like roots sinking into rich soil. There was no struggle, no battle of wills; the First Soul yielded without hesitation.

Ancient sword mastery flooded into him in a surge of cold, razor-sharp clarity—countless battles, flawless strikes, and millions of years’ worth of skill.

His soul swelled, the darkness condensing into an unbreakable void, the Eternal Heart of Night beating stronger as abyssal energy fortified every part of his being.

It was effortless, perfect unity—two tiless powers rging into one, Kaelthyr’s eyes flew open, blazing with steady, unshakable resolve.

----

Out in the Central Fractured Zone, Kaelthyr was almost completely gone—his body slowly worn away until only his soul remained. But the instant the First Soul rged with him, he erupted in a burst of pure darkness.

HUMMMM!!!!

Calling it darkness wouldn’t do it justice.

It was like an endless void...

And by now, the two Abyssal Lords had been battling Kaelthyr for six hours.

They’d already unleashed their Precepts and more, yet Kaelthyr fought like no one else... even without a mind.

One couldn’t forget he possessed a title—one that was utterly broken.

Kaelthyr was considered an anomaly, aning certain aspects of reality simply didn’t apply to him.

So, as he fought on, breaking boundaries without end, whenever he was cornered, he always managed to find a way out—though not without a scratch or worse.

Being an anomaly didn’t just an he could do things others shouldn’t be able to.

It was far more complex, enabling him to achieve feats that seed utterly impossible—like montarily wielding the very concepts his foes depended upon.

Yet, in this mont, it didn’t matter. Kaelthyr’s eyes glead in the pitch-black darkness as he spoke.

|Abyssal Severance|

It was a talent that burst forth in full force.

Kaelthyr made a simple circular swing of his blade, and in that mont, a halo of sword energy enveloped him and surged outward in an instant.

HUMMMMM!!!!!

The Two Abyssal Lords tried to defend, but the sword arc sliced through every barrier as Kaelthyr declared, "No defense shall impede my sword!"

He wore a smile, having just gained this new ability.

With the First Soul, he’d gained near limitless sword knowledge and potential, far surpassing anything he’d ever known. But that wasn’t all—he also acquired powers that were downright broken.

Now, impossibly, he possessed a new core.

Normally, to ascend to the Void Emperor rank, one must destroy their core.

Yet Kaelthyr now had sothing called the Refusal Core, an (???) aspect granted by the First Soul that let him reject any external force, limited only by his rank. If he wished, no Precept, concept, law, or anything else could touch him.

He lived by his own rules and thoughts alone.

As he stood in the skies, watching the two Abyssal lords obliterated down to their very souls—souls now absorbed into Kaelthyr, another welco perk—he felt the surge of power. But before he could lose himself in it too much...

CRACK!

CRACK!

BOOOOM!!!!

The egg, drifting millions of kiloters away, slowly opened.
