When I returned to the island I had once ruled as king long ago, I was deeply surprised. The village had grown incomparably larger than before, and there were far more monsters than I rembered. Most of all, I saw monsters I had known in the past living there as if nothing had changed.

Monsters are beings whose very bodies are composed of magicules. Whether their capacity is great or small, they exude magicules simply by existing, and they die if those reserves run dry. As I wondered how they had managed to remain unchanged for over three thousand years, Pro answered directly in my mind.

"The reason is the dense concentration of magicules within this mountain. Normally, magicules of this density would be fatal to humans without mana or low-rank monsters, but the creatures living here are all mutants that have adapted and evolved to this environnt. Even when they consu the magicules in their bodies, they imdiately reconstruct themselves using the magicules floating in the atmosphere. Furthermore, they do not age because they kill other monsters and absorb their magicules."

Additionally, during the two years I had reigned over this island, their souls had unknowingly fallen under my dominion. As I evolved, I had influenced them to so extent.

Consequently, both their intelligence and physical abilities had improved.

"There are many monsters here I don't recognize."

At my question, a skeleton dressed like a village chief answered. The man's na was Johnny. I had given him his na, and he served as the commander leading the undead-type monsters.

"They are wild monsters who had nowhere else to go and happened to drift onto this island. They all live peacefully and follow our instructions well, so you can rest easy."

Before I knew it, the village had expanded, and there were many new districts. But well, if monsters of this caliber were living quietly, I suppose that was a good thing.

"Since you are here, would you like to introduce you to the other areas as well?"

Oh? There's more?

Following Johnny's guidance, the next place we visited was a vast stretch of farmland. There, non-human monsters like skeletons and goblins were cultivating crops for food.

"We rotate the crops every year to ensure the soil remains healthy and primarily cultivate varieties with excellent preservation qualities. Beyond that, we are increasing our feed grain production to grow our livestock. We will begin as soon as the western district is fully prepared. Additionally—"

Aside from the fact that his explanations were a bit too long, he was extrely capable.

It seed he managed the fields based on the difficulty of each crop, and monsters capable of flight, such as harpies, served as living scarecrows. Honestly, how are they even growing anything in weather this miserable?

There were also ranches for various livestock, fences, and stockpiles of construction materials. While the ideas had all originated from my own mind, the monsters' ability to implent them perfectly was first-rate.

What surprised even more was Johnny's administrative talent. He assigned each monster to the role best suited to their innate abilities and skills. Strong monsters like cyclopes and minotaurs were sent where brute force was required, while those with excellent night vision or stone-cutting skills were assigned to the caves.

Perhaps living a leisurely life with monsters wouldn't be so bad after all. I began to think that even if we were naturally hostile, coexistence might be possible if we made the effort to understand one another.

Then, I discovered two new abilities that had been added to my arsenal.

One was the Unique Skill [Soul Reaper (Martiel)], which had evolved from the Extra Skill [Soul Harvest]. The other was a newly acquired Ultimate Skill, [God of Chaos (Chaos)].

[Chaos] was not an offensive technique or a spell. Instead, it functioned as a passive skill that was always active.

This ability acted as a constant blessing for my subordinates, granting them the power to inflict damage even upon those with resistance to holy and demonic attacks.

Light (Holy) and Darkness (Demonic). [Chaos] was the state in which these two coexisted. In other words, monsters blessed by [Chaos] could bypass holy-demonic attack resistance. According to my advisor, this was because their attacks and magic were neither light nor darkness, but a fusion of both attributes into one.

After hearing Johnny's report, I felt the need for a new subordinate to protect them.

If there were monsters born and raised in this environnt, so would surely surpass the A-rank threshold Yuuki had established. What I needed was a monster with overwhelming individual combat power.

I headed to a secluded valley where there were few signs of life and inscribed a massive magic circle.

Using the magic of the God of Creation, I perford a ritual to create a powerful entity. Of course, the presence of a sacrifice would have allowed for a more detailed creation.

I placed a stone containing both my own draconic lineage factors and the power of the four elents gifted by Ramiris at the center of the circle and activated the spell.

Kugagagagagwang!!!

Along with a blinding flash, a giant pillar of light swallowed the magic circle, and within that radiance, a new monster was ford.

"So, that is the result of creation..."

"Was it you who created ?"

Standing there was a massive dragon. Because it had inherited my factors, it possessed power comparable to the higher draconic lineage rather than a common dragon.

To be clear, the draconic lineage and dragons are entirely different beings. Those of the draconic lineage are immortal; even if they are destroyed, they can be reborn sowhere in the world. Dragons, however, are rely monsters born with diluted factors of Veldanava, the primordial draconic lineage and the Sacred Dragon known as the strongest.

However, immortality is not absolute. Veldanava, though of the draconic lineage, loved a woman so deeply that he abandoned his power and beca human. Milim was the result of that union.

In other words, if one chooses to renounce their status as a True Dragon, they can die.

Furthermore, the Elental Dragon he left for Milim had lost its draconic factors during its rebirth as a Chaos Dragon. However, because of my influence as a mber of the draconic lineage, it regained those factors and evolved from an Elental Dragon into a subspecies known as the Rainbow Dragon.

Consequently, from the perspective of a True Dragon, a common dragon is nothing more than a lizard with wings and a breath attack.

Yet, the dragon before seed to be a semi-spiritual lifeform. Most notably, it had five heads. One was composed of flas, another was blue with fish-like fins, the center head was adorned with nurous horns, one was black, and the last was white.

It had likely taken this form due to the influence of the four elents and my own [Chaos].

"Did you create ?"

The five heads spoke in unison. Just as I thought that we might be able to settle this peacefully if it were capable of conversation—

Kuaaaaaaa!!

The five-headed dragon unleashed a barrage of elental breaths. I shielded myself with a barrier of lightning ford from transford magicules.

It seems conversation is out of the question. It's gone berserk. I'll have to calm it down first if I want any hope of a peaceful dialogue.

I released my magicules, calling down multiple bolts of lightning around the dragon. Each strike possessed destructive power that surpassed the high-tier magic of any human kingdom.

Enraged by the attack, the dragon began unleashing indiscriminate strikes on everything in the vicinity, regardless of friend or foe. Fearing the rampage would reach the village, I neutralized its attacks with a flurry of lightning.

Then, using purple lightning, I drained its strength and suppressed its movents.

"You can feel it too, can't you? The gap between us. I have no desire to fight you."

Kraaaaaaah!!!

I sighed as I watched the creature howl like a mindless beast, determined to attack until its very last breath.

Sigh, history really does repeat itself. This is the only way to handle them.

Zzzzt...

Vertis charged his spear with mana and fired it straight into the heavens. A mont later, five beams of light descended upon the dragon's heads.

"Orbital bombardnt."

Kwa-gwang!!!

Kraaaaaah!!

The massive creature crashed to the ground, its body riddled with severe wounds. My lightning had already drained all the magicules and strength from its fra. It no longer had the ans to resist.

"...Kill us. We have been defeated."

Now that its reason had returned, the dragon asked for the rcy of death. Muscle-brained creatures really are exhausting.

"Why would I kill you? What do you think I created you for?"

"...What do you an?"

"I want you to beco my subordinate. I could force your obedience, but I would prefer to respect your free will. Will you lend your strength to ?"

Dragons with a strong sense of self are rare. Since this was a life I had created, I wanted to avoid killing it with my own hands. Looking toward the future, I felt a strong desire to secure its power.

***

Three days later, the village continued to prosper even in my absence. In the first place, I had only stood at the peak of this island; I had never actually intended to build a town. The debris removal was mostly complete, and since my subordinates were working so diligently, there was little for to do.

However, one thing had changed...

"My Lord! Dinner is ready! I have prepared it with all my heart!"

I am a spiritual lifeform, so I don't really need to eat... but since it was a gesture of sincerity...

"...I see. Very well."

That dragon—or rather, she—had beco a completely loyal subject. The insolent attitude had vanished as if it had never existed, replaced by unwavering politeness.

Furthermore, because it had five heads, each head had manifested as a separate man or woman.

The seamless coordination it had shown in battle was gone; now, each head acted according to its own whims.
