It was enormous.

The creature's length had to be at least a hundred ters. Even then, it didn't stop, continuously absorbing the surrounding magicules.

[Notice] "Warning. The surrounding magicules have exceeded the threshold."

Ignoring the World's Word and its warning, he swung his spear, calling down a bolt of lightning directly onto the Chaos Dragon's head.

KWA-BOOM!!

With a trendous explosion, a massive hole was blasted through the Chaos Dragon's body. However, as ti passed, the scattered flesh began to coalesce, returning the beast to its original form.

At that mont, he sensed tentacles launching a surprise attack from behind and leaped backward to evade them. The ground where he had been standing a mont ago lted away instantly.

"An attack that lts and decays everything... How troubleso. Lightning seems to be effective, though."

Each tentacle twisted like a living snake, lunging at him with predatory intent, but his wings moved as if they possessed a will of their own, shifting into a shield to protect him.

He flicked aside the first tentacle as it struck from above, dodging with ease. He then incinerated a second tentacle attempting a flank with a burst of lightning, before raining down bolts from a distance to burn the rest.

"If I keep fighting like this, it'll never end."

No matter how many tis the physical body was destroyed, it simply regenerated. In that case, there was only one option: aim for the core.

He sharpened all his senses, focusing entirely on his vision. The world around him fell silent, leaving only the loud, steady thumping of his own heart.

"Appraisal."

It was just like treating a patient. He diagnosed where it hurt, identified the problem, and then treated the ailnt.

With eyes more precise than any machine, he looked past the corrupted flesh to gaze upon the soul within.

Soon, he located a soul glowing faintly at the very center of the Chaos Dragon's body.

"Bingo. Now, how do I destroy a dragon's body?"

[Notice] "Answer. You must destroy the astral body and spiritual body that protect the individual's soul."

"If I use [Extraction], can I reduce that body made of magicules back into raw magicules?"

[Notice] "Answer. Using [Extraction], you can annihilate the Chaos Dragon's physical form. While you will obtain a vast amount of magicules, the Chaos Dragon's bodily regeneration will resu imdiately thereafter."

"Good. Then let's begin!"

First, he unleashed a barrage of blue lightning around the dragon's feet to seal its movent, then incinerated every hovering tentacle with red lightning.

To prevent the beast from taking flight, he shaped black lightning into a cage, completely imprisoning the Chaos Dragon.

The mont it touched the black lightning, the Chaos Dragon slowed, crippled by intense pain and paralysis. In desperation, it unleashed a breath attack at him as he charged forward.

But he did not defend. He focused solely on the attack. No matter the onslaught, his eyes never wavered, and his composure remained absolute.

Finally, he reached the Chaos Dragon and drove his spear straight through its body.

"Right. Let's get started."

He released all the stored electricity through the gun-like muzzle at the tip of the spear, discharging it directly into the Chaos Dragon's internals.

Pzzzzzzzzzt!!!

"GRAAAAAAA!!!"

The Chaos Dragon scread in agony as the electricity ravaged it from the inside out.

"Next is [Extraction]."

The dragon's entire body began to emit a pale violet light. With a final, guttural cry—a mixture of a death throe and a groan—the dragon's form flashed crimson and scattered in all directions, dissolving into purple particles of light.

In that instant, as the corrupted flesh vanished, he discovered the dragon's heart core, the only part that remained untainted.

However, a sinister energy had latched onto the core, attempting to seize control of it.

Using his spear, he ticulously removed the disgusting filants clinging to the core one by one.

Carefully and precisely. His gaze remained steady.

Normally, the dragon's regeneration would have triggered again. The scattered remnants of the body attempted to rge, but for so reason, they could not fuse.

The reason was the lightning he had infused throughout the Chaos Dragon's body; it acted like identical magnetic poles, repelling the flesh and preventing it from reuniting.

While the body remained fragnted, he finished separating the dark energies from the heart core. He briefly dismantled the core to absorb its information into his mind. With the core gone, the Chaos Dragon's remaining physical form lted and collapsed. Consequently, he obtained the Chaos Dragon's soul.

When it was over, a heavy silence settled over the area.

He stretched, loosening his stiff muscles.

"Huuuu..."

As he relaxed, he stored the golems he had hacked earlier into [Fourth Storage]. The final task was deciding the fate of the Chaos Dragon's soul.

After so thought, he used the information and magicules obtained through [Appraisal] and [Extraction] to create a new physical vessel.

He had wondered if creating life was truly possible, but the process succeeded far more easily than he had expected.

The resulting body was tiny, with skin as white as a newborn baby's. Small horns sprouted from its head, and its wings, though similar to a bird's, shimred with a brilliant rainbow hue.

He had perford many organ transplants in the past, but this ti, he was transplanting a soul. He wondered if it would work as intended...

Using the heart core he had reconstructed from the original's data, he implanted it into the draconic body and finally placed the soul inside.

'Will this work?'

After a mont, the baby dragon opened its eyes. It looked at him three tis, flapped its unfamiliar wings a few tis, and then climbed up to perch on top of his head.

Kyuuii~

The baby dragon rolled around happily on his head. He wondered if this was so form of imprinting, where the creature recognized the first person it saw as its parent.

And so, the doctor in white and the white baby dragon began their life together.
