When Rimuru opened his eyes amidst a flood of light, Gabiru and Vester were standing before him. He had been brought to them by the magic embedded in the necklace Vertis had given him.
Because the necklace had magic [stored within it], the spell activated automatically the mont Rimuru sensed his life was in danger, forcibly transferring him to their location. Originally, he should have been transported back to the city of Tempest, but the city was currently encased in a barrier cast by an unknown entity. Consequently, Rimuru was repelled by the barrier and teleported to the nearest available location outside of it.
After sohow forcing an opening in the barrier and stepping inside, Rimuru was greeted by a street steeped in a murderous aura. And there, strewn across the pavent, lay countless slaughtered monsters.
He was accustod to the sensation of lives being extinguished. But he could never grow used to the feeling of those close to him dying.
A strange sensation washed over him. His chest tightened, and his vision blurred. It was the kind of overwhelming emotion that made him want to scream in rage and run wild at that very instant.
