Living Armor. Armor inhabited by souls and able to move on its own was called Living Armor. So were animated by magic like golems, while others were born when the soul of soone who died with intense resentnt possessed a suit of armor. In the forr case, they possessed intelligence little different from that of a golem. In the latter, they held fierce hostility toward all living creatures and even had the ability to reassemble themselves after their bodies were destroyed.
'It should be starting about now, shouldn't it?'
As Vertis sensed the signal from the Living Armor, he muttered to himself. Every one of those Living Armors had been prepared by him. He had created the armor with his own power, then infused them with the souls he had gathered over ti. They were sacrifices ant to hold a kind of vessel.

The heavy suits of armor moved, raising swords and shields as they attacked Rimuru's subordinates.
Whooom!!
One suit of armor swung its heavy sword at Benimaru, but he deftly shifted his scabbard and redirected the blow. The deflected strike sent the helt of another suit flying off to the side, yet of course the inside was empty. The headless armor simply picked up its fallen helt, put it back on, and slowly advanced as if nothing had happened.
