After getting in the car, Yun Qiluo remained very quiet, unusually so.
Yan Yan wrapped her in his arms, gazing at her pale little face, his eyes deep, concealing an almost imperceptible heartache.
Unconsciously, he reached out to touch the bruised marks on her wrist.
He asked in a low voice, "Does it hurt?"
Yun Qiluo shook her head, then spoke softly, "A little bit."
Yan Yan recalled what he’d just seen in the room, handcuffs scattered all over the floor, all deford.
One could imagine how much force she must have used while struggling then.
He couldn’t help but hold her even tighter.
With his chin resting on her small shoulder, his lashes drooped slightly, and his lazy gaze fell on her tiny hand.

He looked down to find her eyes red and puffy, her small mouth pressed tight.
She looked every bit like she had been scared out of her wits.
The man’s heart clenched, inexplicably feeling as if it were being torn apart, bleeding and raw.
He carefully tightened his hold on her, lowering his head to gently ask, "What’s wrong? Are you hurt sowhere?"
Perhaps his voice was overly gentle, and Yun Qiluo gazed at his stunning face.
After a while, she blinked twice, then suddenly pursed her little lips and buried her face in his chest.
Tears welled up in her eyes, and try as she might to hold them back, she burst into tears anyway.
"Beautiful woman, sob sob sob..."
The fear she had suppressed for so long finally erupted at this mont.
The young girl buried her face in his chest, crying uncontrollably.
In between sobs, she confessed to him: "It’s so dirty and ssy there, I was so scared I’d be trapped inside forever."
Yan Yan’s hand tightened slightly around her waist, deep pain flashing in his eyes.
He reached out to stroke the back of her head, coaxing softly in a low voice, "Be good, don’t be afraid anymore..."
Yun Qiluo continued to sob in his arms, so much so that he could feel the moisture of her tears on his chest.
With his eyes lowered, he even had a thought: if only she wouldn’t be sad, he would give his life to her.
"You’re out now," he allowed her to burrow into his embrace, a dangerous glint in his eyes where she couldn’t see, yet his voice was husky and gentle to the core, "No one will hurt you anymore."
The more he comforted, the harder Yun Qiluo cried.
"And that pighead, so rotten and ugly and horrible, sob sob sob..."
"I hit him with the handcuffs for a long ti before I knocked him out, and he even had those people hit ."
Throughout, the young girl sobbed and hiccuped in his arms, crying and wiping her tears on him.
Yan Yan no longer cared about his clothes getting dirty.
He held her, letting her cry all the way, only occasionally soothing her in a low voice.
After a long ti, Yun Qiluo finally cald down a little.
Yet she occasionally sniffled in his arms.
Continuing to curse at Huang Sijun intermittently.
By the end, her stomach grumbled, and her small face suddenly fell.
Sniffling, she looked up at him with red eyes, grumbling pitifully, "I’m so hungry, beautiful woman, when can I eat?"
In the end, the first thing Yun Qiluo did when she was sent to the hospital wasn’t an examination, nor was she sent to the ICU, but rather she ate the lunchbox bought for her by a little nurse.
Gu Yixuan, Ji Ruofeng, and a group of others just stood there, outside the luxurious hospital room, watching the young girl inside eating voraciously.
Thinking of Huang Sijun and the others who were carried out earlier, they couldn’t help but fall into silence...
