Now reading: Arthur Mathew (2) from That Time I Got Turned Into a Dragonoid, a Action novel by Super-Nova.

I killed myself again and again, going back 24 hours in ti each ti—over and over—until I returned to a ti about ten years ago.

Back when everything had just started.

Back to the very beginning.

That was when the system had been given to everyone.

But unlike last ti, this ti… sothing was different.

This ti, I received my trial.

And with all the mories of my past lives, all the experience I had gathered through countless deaths and retries, I cleared the trial with ease.

It was almost too easy.

But I didn’t stop there.

I kept going.

Winning the lottery?

Picking the perfect job?

Choosing the best skill, the best path?

It beca part of my daily life.

Even when I failed a dungeon or couldn’t complete a condition, I didn’t care.

I just died and went back in ti, and did it again.

Until I got it right.

It was an endless loop.

A loop that made stronger, smarter, sharper.

A loop that made …

“The perfect man.”

That’s what people called .

A man who never failed.

A man who always completed every dungeon perfectly.

A man who never lost.

But that was only…

Until she*ca.

It started when Granny Shia had a strange vision.

She looked really worried.

“I saw sothing,” she said, her voice shaking. “A powerful enemy is coming… stronger than anything we’ve ever faced.”

That caught off guard.

“What? This didn’t happen last ti…?” I muttered, confused.

Sothing was wrong.

Had I… ssed up the tiline?

Still, I wasn’t afraid.

Even if this enemy was strong, I could just go back in ti, like always.

Even if I had to die ten… twenty… fifty tis—

Eventually, I would win.

I always won.

But the whole world was really serious about this.

So, just in case… we decided to summon a hero from another world.

A legendary warrior.

And when the summoning circle glowed—

She appeared.

Scarlett Nova.

She was… breathtaking.

Long purple hair. A blindfold covering the eyes.

She looked like a goddess more than a hero.

For a mont, I doubted.

“Is she really a hero?”

But the mont I saw her fight—

The way she moved, the power she had—

I knew.

There was no way I could match her.

Still… she was kind.

Easy to talk to.

A righteous warrior who stood for justice.

She wasn’t arrogant.

She didn’t look down on anyone.

With her help, we defeated the enemy or more she defeater evryone without any effort

Together, we won.

The world returned to peace.

And just like that—

Like a true hero in a story—

Scarlett said goodbye and returned to her world.

She left quietly, with Ms. Irish, her guide, just like soone going back ho after finishing their job.

Everything seed perfect.

Until…

More than five years had passed since Scarlett Nova left our world. Life had returned to peace, and the chaos from before felt like a distant mory. I had continued living as the "perfect man," the unbeatable hero who could turn back ti and always make the right choice. But that peace didn’t last forever.

One day, a strange ripple appeared in the sky—a giant rift in space and ti. The air grew heavy, and everything shook violently. It was like reality itself was being torn apart. Without wasting a second, I rushed toward the source with my companions, our hearts pounding with fear and confusion. When we arrived, a blinding light erupted from the rift, and then… she stepped out.

Scarlett Nova.

She walked out of the light with the sa grace and confidence I rembered, her long purple hair swaying behind her like a royal banner. She still wore that mysterious black blindfold that covered her mismatched eyes—one crimson red and one vibrant blue. Even after all these years, she looked like soone who didn’t belong to this world. Like a goddess... or a monster.

She ran her fingers through her hair and smirked, her voice dripping with cold amusent.

“So this is the world you love so much?” she said. Then, without warning, she flicked her fingers.

"Then I'll just end it!"

And just like that—swish—the entire world cracked.

The ground split open. The sky tore apart. Entire cities vanished in an instant. The earth itself was sliced clean in two, as if cut by an invisible blade. It all happened in a flash. I couldn’t even scream. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t react. It was as if the entire planet shattered under her will.

But just before everything turned to nothing...

< Sylvania Yogsothoth's Blessing Activated: Going back 24 Hours in Ti >

I gasped awake in my room, drenched in sweat. My heart was racing like never before. My lungs burned as I tried to catch my breath. It wasn’t a nightmare. It really happened. She really ca back. And she really destroyed everything.

"Why did she this?", I thought but there was no ti think about it.

"I need to stop her..." I whispered to myself, panic rising in my chest.

But no matter what I did, no matter how many tis I tried to speak to her, reason with her, or even attack her—one glance, just one glare from her behind that blindfold—was enough to kill and destroy the world all over again.

Eventually, I realized sothing terrifying.

She knew. She knew about my power.

“I’ll just kill you in the past,” she once said, her voice echoing in my ears like a death sentence.

I had no choice. I used my blessing like a cheat again and went back five years in ti, back to the mont she first arrived in our world. I had to act before she could beco a threat.

This ti, I made a plan. I gathered strong hunters—so of the best fighters we had—and ambushed her the mont she arrived. We threw everything we had at her. I believed, with the right strategy and enough power, we might have a chance.

But I was so wrong.

BAM!

With just one punch, she crushed my skull and wiped out my entire group in seconds. We didn’t even last a breath.

Again and again, I returned. I tried to discover her weakness. I tried to kidnap Ms. Irish, her companion—but she was just as strong and dangerous. I kept failing. Again. And again.

Finally, I gave up on fighting her directly. If I couldn’t defeat her with strength, then I would destroy her reputation. I would turn the world against her.

So I went back in ti again. This ti, I leaked a private video of her and Irish being intimate. The world was shocked. News reporters sward her doorstep. Everyone wanted answers.

But Scarlett wasn’t scared. Not even a little.

“So what?” she said calmly in front of all the caras, flashing her engagent ring. “We’re engaged. I’ll sleep with my future wife wherever and whenever I want. What business is it of yours?”

The reporters froze. The dia had no words. She completely crushed their attacks with just a few sentences.

Still, I didn’t stop. I forged videos of her killing innocent people. I created lies, exposed fake cris, twisted everything about her into sothing evil. I worked so hard to ruin her image that in one tiline, I actually succeeded.

But even that success ended in disaster.

Scarlett stood before the world, anger blazing behind her blindfold.

“I wanted to be kind to you all,” she said in a voice colder than death, “but I guess you don’t deserve it.”

And then... the massacre began.

She killed without rcy. Her power was limitless. Not even the strongest armies could stand against her. The entire world burned beneath her wrath, and no one—not even —could stop her.

Once again, I had to go back in ti.

I kept trying different thods. I dropped a nuclear bomb on her. I tried to poison her food. I even went so far as to hold an innocent child hostage, hoping she would let herself be killed to protect them.

But her response?

“Just kill him. It’s not like he’s my kid. Why the fuss?”

That’s when I truly understood.

She wasn’t a hero. She wasn’t a savior.

She was a monster wrapped in the skin of a goddess. A rciless, unstoppable force.

I tried everything I could think of. I even shouted one day, "Let’s just stop the ritual! If she never gets summoned, then none of this will happen!"

So, I went straight to the places where the summoning rituals were being held. I broke the magic circles, destroyed the tools, and even tried kidnapping. But... no matter what I did, it always failed. The ritual still finished. Sooner Or Later The summoning still happened.

I couldn’t bring myself to hurt innocent people, so I never tried killing anyone involved. But aside from that, I tried every single way possible. Yet... she always arrived.

After trying more than a thousand tis, I sat in the dark, breathing heavily, my hands shaking with frustration. My voice was barely a whisper when I said to myself, "I think this is an absolute point. I can’t change it. No matter what I do, she will always be summoned into this world."

My heart felt heavy. My chest burned with helplessness. But I didn’t cry. I couldn’t afford to.

So I changed my plan.

I started with small things, just to annoy Scarlett. I leaked her address online and attacked her like a sneaky assassin, just to catch her off guard.

I made deals with powerful, dangerous people. Criminals who had awakened special abilities. We all had the sa goal—kill Scarlett without warning. In secret, I trained myself too. I learned how to move without being seen, how to hide my breath, how to strike without making a sound.

Finally, the day ca. The jailbreak. Everything I needed to happen was already in motion. I had the security passwords, the escape paths, everything down to the last detail. I knew this ti, I would succeed.

But... the Hunter Association found out. Sohow, they tracked the plan. They warned Scarlett. And just like that, all my efforts ant nothing. My surprise attack failed before it even began.

"I'll have a better start next ti"I whispered, before ending my life once more, going back exactly 24 hours into the past.

---------------

In a quiet Japanese village, inside a small apartnt, sunlight stread through the curtains.

Arthur opened his eyes. They glowed faintly, filled with both pain and fire. He sat up slowly, his breath catching in his throat.

He stood, bare feet pressing against the cold floor.

"Enough hide and seek," he said, voice trembling but strong. 'This ti... I’ll face you head-on.'

He clenched his fists and looked at the wall as if it were his enemy.

"Millions of tis, billions if I have to. I’ll fight, again and again. I’ll dodge every attack, learn every move. And one day... there will be a mont, even just one, where you slip... and that mont will be the end. You’ll die by my hands."
