At the sa mont Shirazawa sensed the spatial fluctuation, Shiro also noticed the anomaly. The next instant, a transparent spatial gate manifested in front of them, and a man wearing black armor stepped out.
The man had a pair of dragon horns on his forehead—clearly not an ordinary human. Shiro stared at him warily, her body instinctively inching closer to Shirazawa.

The woman on the phone gave a greeting and then began chatting with the black-armored man.

"Sigh~"
Only that final sigh was in a language the two could understand. The man tossed the phone to them, then opened a spatial portal again and turned to leave.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, you two. I've reached an agreent with him; he won't bother you anymore."
Shiro blankly caught the phone, staring at the spot where the man had vanished. For a long ti, she couldn't find her voice. It was just... solved?!
"This..."
Shiro looked at the smartphone—an object that didn't belong in this world—with a head full of question marks. Who exactly was this person?
"I'm Administrator D, Spider-san."
"Hmm? I've heard that na before. Wait, can you read my thoughts?" Shiro asked, her eyes wide with shock.
Administrator D smiled. "Yes, but only for ease of communication. I don't usually do this."
"That's a violation of privacy!" Shiro protested.
"I don't like that phrasing. Think of it as 'spectating.' Like watching an ani where you can hear the protagonist's inner monologue."
"What's the difference? That's just being a stalker! Damn it!" Shiro nearly smashed the phone in frustration.

Shiro rolled her eyes. "So you're the one who gave us the skill?"

There was a brief silence on the other end. Shirazawa felt sothing was off—was this person about to cause trouble?

Administrator D was about to hang up when Shirazawa stopped her. "Wait, Wakaba!"
Shiro: "What's wrong?"
"...I wasn't calling you."

Shirazawa stared silently at the phone, as if he could see the girl's face on the other end of the line. Administrator D was slightly surprised but didn't ask further.
"Do you have anything else?"
"I want to see you. Can you make that happen?"
D paused for a mont before speaking. "Sorry, no."
"That would expose my location. Unless you step into the divine realm and co see yourself."
"Is there no other way?"
"There is, but why should I waste precious energy on you? Though I am curious how you know my identity, and since seems ineffective on you, it's still not worth my intervention."
Shirazawa was a bit defiant. "At least I'm the first one who..."
"Shut up!"
D's voice turned suddenly cold and sharp, scaring him into swallowing the rest of his words.

D's tone beca sowhat suppressed. She seed to want to say sothing, but in the end, she said nothing at all.

The phone let out a sinister, eerie laugh. Shirazawa felt a chill and couldn't help but shiver.
"Impossible. Except for my parents, I won't kneel to anyone, not even the heavens and earth!"

With that, Shirazawa hung up the phone. On the other end, the girl's frustrated voice rang out.
"That damn guy! He actually dared to hang up on !"
