Uncle He’s family arrived quickly.

As soon as the brothers He Zhendong and He Zhen Guo arrived, they started fighting the two n who had been holding Mr. He.

Aunt He and Zhen Guo’s wife went and pulled Guo Jinfeng and her mother apart.

Mr. He was trembling with anger. "You people... you’ve gone too far! This is outrageous!"

The commotion at the He Family’s ho was huge, and a large crowd gathered at the courtyard gate to watch the spectacle.

However, so people stepped in to break up the fight, and eventually, the two families were separated.

But He Lang had beaten Guo Dazhu’s face to a bloody pulp. Others couldn’t pull him away; he just kept hitting him.

Wang Guihua was so scared she started slapping her thighs. "It’s murder! The He family is killing soone!"

Mr. He shouted at He Lang, "Third Brother, that’s enough! Any more and you’ll kill him."

He Lang threw one more heavy punch before stopping.

Guo Dazhu lay on the ground, motionless.

He Zhendong went over and checked him, then nodded at the others, indicating he wasn’t dead yet.

Wang Guihua cried and shouted, "Erzhu, go call the police! Call the police! They’re killing him! The He family is killing soone!"

Guo Erzhu glanced at Guo Fugui. Seeing his father nod, Guo Erzhu turned and ran.

He Lang stood to the side with a dark expression, his black eyes fixed on Guo Fugui.

Seeing this, Guo Fugui’s pupils trembled, and he turned his head away to avoid his gaze.

Uncle He was a bit baffled. "Guo Family, what are you all stirring up this ti? Do you really think our He Family is such an easy target?"

Guo Fugui snorted coldly. "My daughter ca ho crying last night, saying the He family bullied her and threw her out. It’s your He Family that’s gone too far."

"You’re full of shit! Why don’t you ntion how Guo Jinfeng secretly took our family’s money back to you yesterday morning? That was for the children’s school fees! You’d even take that? You’re not parents, you’re vampires, sucking my son’s blood every day!" Mrs. He shrieked.

Uncle He frowned. "Guo Fugui, I recall we already agreed that your family had disowned Guo Jinfeng. He Nan didn’t even ask for that money back. What is the aning of this now? Regretting it? Then give all the money back."

He Nan said, "Uncle, Guo Jinfeng and I are already divorced. The Guo Family is demanding I give them five yuan and twenty catties of grain every month. I can’t do that."

"They’re even doing that?"

Everyone present gasped.

The onlookers at the gate also began to murmur among themselves, all of them criticizing the Guo Family for their shalessness.

Wang Guihua heard this, and her eyes darted around. "We’re divorced anyway, so what’s the use of talking about that now? A divorce is fine, but my daughter can’t leave empty-handed. Give us the grain that was allocated to my daughter. As for the two children, we don’t want the boy. You can keep the boy to carry on the He Family na. We’ll take that girl, Ziqing."

This was what the Guo Family had planned last night. He Ziqing was already fourteen this year. In a few years, she could be married off, and in the anti, she could help with chores at ho.

"You’re dreaming! Ziqing is our He Family’s child too. Why should we give her to you? Don’t think we don’t know what you’re planning. As for the grain, forget about it. We won’t give you a single kernel," Mrs. He said.

Over at the police station, as soon as Guo Erzhu burst in, he started shouting about a murder, telling the police to hurry.

"Where’s the body? Who’s dead?"

Hearing about a killing, all the police officers perked up and looked at Guo Erzhu.

Guo Erzhu caught his breath before saying, "He’s... not dead yet. In Da Liushu Village, the He family is beating soone up. He’s about to be beaten to death."

When Xue Xingzhou heard "Da Liushu Village" and "the He family," he looked closely at Guo Erzhu and finally recognized him. After all, he had been there for the Guo Family’s previous fight.

Xue Xingzhou walked over. "Who’s about to die?"

Guo Erzhu looked at Xue Xingzhou in his police uniform but didn’t recognize him.

He just respectfully repeated his story to Xue Xingzhou, conveniently leaving out the part where they had started the fight.

Since no one was actually dead, the police didn’t take it too seriously. This kind of civil dispute was very common, with soone reporting a case every few days. But they still had to dispatch officers.

"Master, I’ll go," Xue Xingzhou said to Zhang Hongjie.

Zhang Hongjie nodded. "Alright. Take two more people with you. Xiao Liu, Xiao Gao, you two go with him."

"Yes, sir!"

’I’ll definitely be able to extort a huge sum of money from the He family,’ Guo Erzhu thought, thrilled he had managed to call the police so easily.

By the ti Xue Xingzhou and his team arrived, the He family and the Guo family were at a standstill in the courtyard, unable to reach an agreent.

Guo Dazhu was still lying in the courtyard. The Guo Family wouldn’t let anyone move him, insisting on waiting for the police.

Seeing that it was Xue Xingzhou who had arrived, the He family instantly breathed a sigh of relief.

"Kid Xue, what are you doing here?" Uncle He’s family didn’t know Xue Xingzhou had beco a police officer and asked in surprise when they saw him walk in wearing a uniform.

Xue Xingzhou nodded to them.

When the Guo Family saw that the He family knew the police officer, they all looked at Guo Erzhu, who was equally confused and scratching his head.

However, Guo Erhu and his brother recognized Xue Xingzhou. Two of the three Guo brothers were present, and they rembered his face because he had once fought all three of them at once and completely defeated them.

"It’s you!"

The rest of the Guo Family looked at Erhu and his brother. "You know him too?"

"Second Uncle, he was one of the guys who ca to our house and beat people up before. Why didn’t you all tell us he was a cop?"

’If we’d known, we wouldn’t have gotten involved in this ss,’ they thought.

"What?"

The Guo Family looked at Xue Xingzhou in disbelief.

Even Guo Jinfeng had no idea when Xue Yue’s brother had beco a police officer.

Xue Xingzhou knelt and felt for a pulse on Guo Dazhu’s neck. He had one, so he must have just passed out.

He stood up and asked, "Who started it?"

The Guo Family fell silent.

He Nan said, "The Guo Family ca here to cause trouble, and they were the ones who hit first..."

He Nan recounted the reasons for his divorce from Guo Jinfeng, the process, and what happened today.

Xue Xingzhou’s brow furrowed as he listened.

He thought for a mont before saying, "It’s true that marital property can be divided in a divorce. This ans that everything you two owned as a couple is joint property. During a divorce, either spouse has the right to demand a division of that marital property."

Hearing this, the Guo Family instantly beca smug.

"Did you hear the officer? It’s our right to demand my daughter’s share of the grain."

Xue Xingzhou continued, "However, since it is joint marital property, if one spouse gives away that property to a third party without the other’s consent, that action is illegal. Therefore, the other spouse has the right to demand the return of that money. In other words, the Guo Family can ask for a share of the grain, but first, all the money that Sister-in-law Guo previously took must be returned. That money is also marital property and subject to division. Then there’s the matter of child custody. Since He Ziqing is over eight years old, she has the right to choose which parent she wants to live with, and the other party must pay appropriate child support until she turns eighteen."
