In the next mont, the Dongqing Temple master’s eyes closed abruptly.

The joyful expression on her face froze. She turned back blankly to look at ng Yunzheng, "She just now, surely saw , right?"
ng Yunzheng cleared his throat and nodded, confirming for her, "She did see you."
"Then why did she close her eyes without saying a word, as if she didn’t want to see ?"
ng Yunzheng rubbed his nose, "You’re overthinking it. Why would the temple master not want to see you?"
"I’m not overthinking it; she just doesn’t want to see , and surely, she’s feeling guilty." Shu Yu was very sure; the Dongqing Temple master’s fleeting glance seed evasive.
Guilty of what? Feeling guilty about her confronting her?
Shu Yu gritted her teeth. If it wasn’t for ng Yunzheng holding her hand, she would have rushed in.
At this mont, a commotion erupted outside the crowd.
"Here they co, here they co, make way, the village chief is back, make way."
Shu Yu and ng Yunzheng were standing by the door, so there was no need to move aside. They turned their heads to see the crowd parting, making way for a middle-aged man walking with his hands behind his back.
Behind the middle-aged man, there were two more individuals.
Both were won, one older, the other younger.
However, both appeared very thin, frail-looking, and wore clothes that were gray from patches. Compared to the village chief walking in front, they seed worlds apart.
As soon as Village Chief Zhong entered the courtyard, the family gathered around. The village chief pointed to the two won behind him.
The Zhong family shifted their gaze and looked at the mother and daughter, eyes full of scrutiny and dissatisfaction.
The mother and daughter were sowhat nervous, with the younger one practically shielding the older one.
But the Zhong family didn’t do anything, and Village Chief Zhong went directly to the Dongqing Temple master, speaking quietly, "Immortal, according to your instructions, I’ve found them. Take a look, is it her? Can she save my son’s life?"
The Dongqing Temple master finally opened her eyes again. Shu Yu, with sharp eyes, saw her glance in their direction once more but quickly looked away.

The Dongqing Temple master quickly ca to the mother and daughter, taking a close look at the young woman.
After a mont, she nodded to Village Chief Zhong.
Village Chief Zhong and his family had mixed expressions of disappointnt and joy.
The Dongqing Temple master said sothing else; Village Chief Zhong’s family nodded repeatedly, and then Village Chief Zhong very kindly invited the mother and daughter inside, his attitude significantly changed.
Shu Yu raised an eyebrow, puzzled over what the master had said.
But Village Chief Zhong soon ca out to usher people away and was about to close the courtyard door.
Shu Yu reached out to stop it, but when she lifted her head, she t the Dongqing Temple master’s gaze directly.
Quietly, she lowered her hand, stepped back a few paces, allowing the village chief to close the door.
Outside, a portion of the crowd quickly dispersed, but there were still so people gathered at the door, discussing in hushed tones.
"Is that the girl from the Li family? Why did the village chief bring the mother and daughter over?"
"Who knows, I feel it must have sothing to do with that immortality. Do you think Little Kid Hao’s possession might be related to the Li family’s mother and daughter?"
Shu Yu and ng Yunzheng didn’t listen any further, instead walked out of the crowd, returning to the carriage.
ng Yunzheng handed the canteen to Shu Yu, and after watching her drink a couple of mouthfuls, he said, "I thought you would walk straight in to see the temple master."
"No, the master has important matters; we’ll wait outside."
